FREDRINN

The officers had barely dragged Liam two steps when Scott stamped after them, a scowl carved on his face.

I caught his wrist. “Wait,” I said, “ following them wouldn't do anything. Not with the evidence. Just send the pack lawyer.”

Whipping his head towards me, his nose wrinkled. “Should I just let them take him away?”

A beat passed, and my voice dropped. “I also have something to tell you.”

Scott’s gaze lingered on me. Whatever he saw on my face made him stop arguing. His eyes flic

  • His Male Luna    Chapter 18 Liam

LIAM~~~~Three days dragged on with boring classes, endless notes, and the pretense that everything was normal.Everything felt normal, until I reached the apartment. Two men—two huge men—stood in the living room. They were dressed in black suits, hands tucked behind their backs. One had a tattoo crawling from his neck up the back of his head.My stomach clenched as my mind drifted back to the officers.“You back.” Scott’s voice drifted from the kitchen area.He was sitting by the island, holding a bowl of cereal in his hand.My eyes flicked to him, then to the men, and then back to him.Scott followed my eyes. “Oh,” he said after swallowing a mouthful of cereal. “They’re your new bodyguards.”I crossed over to him, brows squeezing. “Why do I need a bodyguard?” The word seeped out, my voice low and rough. He let out a sigh, one he usually did when a decision was made and he had to play along with it.Instantly, I knew whose idea this was.Without wasting another second, I marched t

FREDRINN…...The moment I reached the door of another investigation room,, I could already feel it. The sharp antagonistic aura of Alpha Rourke was seeping through the crack of the door.Any other wolf might melt. But not me. Never me.Gedon reacted instantly, surging towards it like a starving beast catching the scent of fresh blood. Almost like he could smell the promise of a fight. And he was hungry.I opened the door and found Rourke sitting behind the metal table. Yesterday, his eyes were bright, almost manic, his smile was wide, greedy. Now, light had gone out of his eyes. His lips now pressed into a rigid line as he hunched over the pictures.Rourke didn’t look up at me when I settled in the seat across from him. Neither did Marcus who stood in the dark corner of the room. The silence echoed off the walls for a while.Rourke brushed across the edge of the picture with his thumb. “What did my son do to deserve this?” His eyes didn’t leave the photo. There were questions a man

  • His Male Luna   Chapter 16 Liam

LIAM****The cell gate screeched open, I lurched into a sitting position, my eyes meeting one of the officers.“You can come out now, Your Royal Highness…”A nickname I had earned after being moved to this room. Guess Scott had requested “They have finally found the murderer,” he said. For a moment, I just stared. Who could be that? Does that mean Gedon wasn’t the one who killed Roger?“You coming out or do you want to spend one more night,” the officer mumbled.“Sorry.” I pushed myself up and headed out of the cell.As I stepped into another office, my gaze landed on Scott. I was about to smile when I noticed how his jaw clamped so hard his cheeks looked like they were made of stone instead of flesh. My steps slowed as I approached him. “I heard they found the murderer. Who?”“Fredrinn admitted to killing him.”“Oh.” I tipped my head down, my voice falling into a whisper. “Seemed like he had remembered that night.”“That night?” Even though he raised his brows, they still held his

FREDRINN~~Lesley didn’t take her eyes off the paper. “I ran the test twice to be very certain,” she said, “It didn’t match Rourke’s blood. The DNA markers are different.”My shoulders dropped as a long exhale left me.Lesley finally looked at me. “There is something else,” she said, her voice dropping. “The blood in the shirt…is unusual.”I tipped my head up. “Unusual?”“It doesn't behave like ordinary werewolf blood.” She huffed. “I need to run more tests before I can give you anything useful.”With a nod, I sprang to my feet. My thoughts were already somewhere—Liam. The moment I stepped into the elevator, I called Scott. The line connected after the second ring.“Please, tell me it wasn’t Roger’s blood.”“It wasn’t.”He went silent for a while before exhaling. “That’s good.”“But it doesn’t change the fact that I might’ve murdered someone that night.”Another pause. “Well at least we know they’re not trying to protect you, and this wouldn’t lead to a war with Alpha Rourke,” Scott

FREDRINN—The officers had barely dragged Liam two steps when Scott stamped after them, a scowl carved on his face.I caught his wrist. “Wait,” I said, “ following them wouldn't do anything. Not with the evidence. Just send the pack lawyer.”Whipping his head towards me, his nose wrinkled. “Should I just let them take him away?”A beat passed, and my voice dropped. “I also have something to tell you.”Scott’s gaze lingered on me. Whatever he saw on my face made him stop arguing. His eyes flicked back to Liam, who was being handcuffed.“Don’t say anything,” Scott said, “Don't answer any questions. Just wait for the pack lawyer. I'll contact him.”Liam nodded, his widened eyes refusing to leave the metal locking his wrist together. The moment they moved out of the apartment, Scott turned back to me. “What do you want to tell me?”I turned to Jane. “ Would you excuse us?”Jane eased herself off the sofa. She stared at both of us before turning around. As soon as the door shut behind h

  • His Male Luna   CHAPTER 13 LIAM

LIAM ~~ I stood in a village square, something that looked like it belonged only in medieval times. Dead bodies were scattered across the ground, dressed in animal hides and coarse fur. In the middle stood a man. Blood covered every inch of him, dripping from his claws onto the ground. I had never seen his face. Yet, he somehow felt familiar like I had known him. An ache shot through my chest, one only a lover could stir. The thought barely formed when the ground rolled beneath my feet. I found myself standing on an unpaved road, flanked by stone cottages. Bodies scattered across the dirt floor. Like before, dead. Unlike before, they were dressed in the early Victorian working-class style. At the end of the road, a man stood. A different face from the first man. One I had never seen before. Yet, it stirred the same feeling in me. That sense that I knew him—that I loved him. The world shifted again, and I was somewhere else. But this time, I knew exactly where I was. My hometown
