Chapter Thirty Eight
Meira had just put on the earphones for Raine so he could listen to some music when a knock sounded on the door and she frowned but went to open the door anyway. It was one of the bodyguards.
“Yes?”.
“Morning ma’am. Your kids are here.”
“What?”. Meira stepped out of the room and closed the door. “They’re supposed to be in school.”
“Mommy!”. The twins cried, wiggled free from Hanna and ran to hug Meira.
“Hey, you two are supposed to be in school.” She said.
“We wanted to see how daddy is doing.” Gabi said. “Can we see him pretty pretty please?”. She gave her the puppy dog look.
“I… I don’t know.” She sighed.
“Daddy would want to see us.” Gabe’s brows furrowed. “Please Mom.”
“Fine.” She grumbled. “Two minutes and you’re off to school.” She led them inside.
