Orana’s Point of View

I walked down the aisle with my arm looped through Sean’s. I had asked him because I had no one else, and over the last few months, he had proved to me that he was a good brother.

I had thought he might ask me to sell my shares, but he never did. Even when I offered to sell them to him, he just shook his head and said no. He told me he had his own empire to build and was doing well on his own, not needing me to be a major shareholder.

  • His Rejected Wife: The Billionaire’s Regret   Chapter 140

Orana’s Point of ViewI woke up the next morning with my body aching and warmth settling deep in my bones. The space beside me in the bed was empty. I blinked as I looked around.Vaughn wasn’t in bed, and I had overslept. For a minute, I just lay there, a soft smile on my face as I looked at his wedding band resting against my knuckles. I reached over, grabbing one of Vaughn’s oversized white button-down shirts from the chair. I slipped it on, letting the soft fabric hang halfway down my thighs, and made my way out of the bedroom.Following the scent of coffee and bacon down to the kitchen, I found my husband standing at the stove. I walked up behind him, wrapping my arms around his waist.“Good morning,” I murmured, leaning up to kiss his cheek gently. He turned in my embrace, a soft look melting his features as he caught my lips in a warm, lingering kiss. “Morning, Mrs. Carson,” he said, his voice deep and raspy. “Breakfast will be ready soon. Go sit down.”We fell into small talk

  • His Rejected Wife: The Billionaire’s Regret   Chapter 139

Orana’s Point of ViewWe were married with the entire room watching us, but I couldn’t keep my eyes off him for even a second. During the reception, as we moved through the crowd, I couldn’t help but notice the guests.Darian was there, sitting close to Sienna, whispering things into her ear that made her blush a deep, radiant pink. But I didn’t miss the way James was watching them from across the room, his eyes filled with longing.I had recently found out that James had told Sienna he couldn’t be with her after she confessed that she liked him, so I was confused about why he was looking at her as if his heart was breaking.“Can I take my wife away now?”Vaughn’s voice rasped against my ear as his arms wrapped around my waist from behind, pressing a warm kiss to my temple.I arched back into his chest, chuckling softly as I patted his hands. “Vaughn, we can’t just leave our guests. It’s our wedding.”“I’m tired,” he lied smoothly, burying his face in the crook of my neck.I turned in

He told me he had his own empire to build and was doing well on his own, not needing me to be a major shareholder.“You look beautiful, Orana,” Sean whispered against my ear as he led me down the path. The moment the chapel doors opened, my heart wouldn’t stop racing as my eyes locked onto the end of the aisle.Vaughn stood there in all his glory. The absolute second he saw me walking toward him, the rest of the room seemed to vanish for him. He never took his eyes off me, his gaze so intense it made my breath hitch in my veil.Liorah was our only flower girl, looking like a little angel in her matching white dress. When I finally reached the fr

Orana’s Point of ViewMy hands shook so much that I couldn’t even hold my lipstick. I gripped the edge of the vanity, staring at my reflection, but everything was a blur.In just a few minutes, I would be marrying the love of my life. I looked down at the dress I was wearing, running my trembling fingers over the delicate fabric. It was a custom Laoise Carson creation,The gown was a breathtaking ivory dress with a high collar of light white lace, framing a keyhole cutout that bared my collarbones and a bone-lined corset sculpted my torso down to a sharp waist, while skin-tight sleeves of unlined, sheer lace wrapped my arms like white vines. From the hips down, winter-white satin panels parted in a split, cascading to the floor in voluminous folds.Through the center opening, a slender column underskirt of continuous lace was revealed, trailing silently behind me as I moved.I looked really pretty, but the perfection of the moment only made my chest tighten with a suffocating wave of

Orana’s Point of View“Let me see that ring,” Penny said, tears immediately welling up in her eyes the moment we sat down for our weekly tea date.I smiled, holding out my hand to show her the flawless diamond catching the light of the cafe.Penny gasped softly, tracing the band with a gentle finger. “Oh, Orana. It is stunning.”“I know,” I said, a smile spreading across my face. “It’s everything I ever imagined my engagement ring would be.”She laughed, wiping a stray tear from her cheek, and we quickly dived into chatting.I asked her how she was doing, and we spent the first twenty minutes just catching up on life. It was the first time since Frank had passed away that the two of us were meeting like this.“So,” Penny leaned forward, her eyes sparkling with excitement. “Have you two set a date yet?”“Yes, actually. It’s in about seven weeks,” I said with a smile. The loud gasps I heard behind my chair told me that Laoise and Sienna had finally arrived. It was usually just Penny and

Vaughn’s Point of View“What kind of wedding do you want?” I asked Orana, tightening my grip around her waist and pulling her back flush against my chest. We were lying on the grass, the afternoon sun warming our skin. We had already spent two days away from the rest of the world at the mansion, and they had been paradise. My girls, Orana and Bambi, as I loved to call our little Liorah, adored the estate, so I decided to extend our getaway by one more day.I wasn’t in any rush to let the reality of the outside world crash back into our bubble.Orana hummed softly, leaning her head back against my shoulder. “I want the grandest one. I want flowers everywhere… and I want a carriage.”“A carriage, a stór?” I asked, a low chuckle vibrating in my chest. She turned her head, looking up at me with sparkling eyes that danced with excitement the moment she started talking about the details.I caught my breath just watching her. I knew why she wanted a real wedding. From what I understood of he

Orana’s Point of View“Mama, you’re staring at me again.”I blinked, dragged back into the present by a small, sweet voice. My daughter stood in the middle of the room with her tiny hands planted on her hips, already dressed, already impatient. Her curls framed her face in soft chaos, and her green

Callahan’s point of view“Did you read the divorce papers?” My friend and lawyer, Maddox, asked as he walked into my office. It took her a fucking week to finally decide to send the documents back.I raised my eyebrows, wondering what he was talking about. Orana’s Point of ViewI knew Callahan hated people who didn’t keep time, and he said I had to meet him exactly at ten, which means I have less than two hours to eat, shower, and head to the other side of town with this traffic.By the time I was getting to his office, it was just fifteen minutes be

Orana’s point of viewI stared at the door of my doctor’s office. Knee bouncing and hands twisting in my lap. The sound of the child crying next to me caught my attention, and I watched the woman trying to soothe her. She gave me an apologetic smile because her baby had been crying for the last twe
