Eunice's point of view
"Bes, are you ready?" They're waiting downstairs.
I took a deep breath. This is it, Eunice; face the decision you made. I stood up and gave Trish a weak smile.
"I'm ready; let's go."
We are now at Aunt Kim's house; mom and dad are also here. They're talking about what happened yesterday and, of course, the wedding they're talking about.
Now we will find out about Travis' decision and mine.
If we both agree, we'll get married next week, This is according to what Trish told me. She heard Uncle Troy and Aunt Kim talking.
Wow, we'll get married so soon; will I really be tied down? Can't I still do what I want? How about my dreams? Will I just be a housewife? I hope that even if we get married, I can still do what I want, especially my dream.
When Trish and I got down, we went straight to the dining area, where our parents were waiting.
"Oh, they're here already." Take a seat. Honey, where's your son? "He's the only one missing." I sat next to Mom, while Trish sat next to Aunt Kim.
"That kid, he said he was going home earlier."
"It's okay, Troy." Maybe Travis was just busy, so he was late. "We're not in a hurry." Dad said.
"Even so, he knows how important this discussion is. He shouldn't keep us waiting. Didn't he think that you just came from America? You came straight here to discuss the wedding of your only daughter. Hey! Travis's head is getting hard." Uncle Troy grumbled. He seems to be stressed out by his eldest son.
Trish told me that Travis didn't come home yesterday. Maybe he's still angry at his dad because of their argument yesterday and what was shown in the picture.
What could have happened to him and his girlfriend? What's his decision? Maybe they didn't break up; maybe that's why Travis isn't here because he doesn't want to—
I came back to my sense when I saw Travis entering the dining area. He's here. What's his decision?
"I'm sorry, I'm late." He sat directly at the other end of the table.
"Why are you only now? Don't you know we've been waiting for you? Aunt Erin and Uncle Ariel came back from America; they went straight here. ""They haven't even rested." Because of what Uncle Troy said, Travis turned to look at Mom and Dad. But before that, our gazes met. I looked away because his gaze was different; it was so cold. like it'll make your hair stand on end.
"I'm so sorry, Uncle Ariel and Aunt Erin; I had too much to drink last night, so I woke up late." He politely said this to Mom.
"It's okay, son; what's important is that you're here now." Mom replied with a smile.
"Let's eat first so we can start the important discussion." Uncle Troy interjected. Dad nodded before we started eating.
I can't eat properly. I've been feeling Travis' cold gaze; it's so uncomfortable...
"So, Travis, have you made a decision?" I stopped eating because of Uncle Troy's sudden question. Oh no, here it comes. My heart beats faster. They're all looking at Travis, but I preferred to look down at what I'm eating. I don't know; I don't want to look at him, and I'm nervous about his answer.
"Yes, dad. I've made a decision."
"So, what's your decision?" Oh God, here it goes.
"I'll marry, Aaliyah." He answered coldly.
I couldn't believe it. I raised my gaze and turned to him. Is he really sure? Is he going to marry me? Does he agree? What about Mayell? What happened to them? I have so many questions in my mind, but I chose to keep them to myself because I have no right to ask him. Maybe he's thinking of something else.
"Good decision, son; I thought you wouldn't follow me. How about you, Eunice? " I turned my gaze to Uncle Troy, who was now smiling broadly. I could see the joy in his eyes because of his son's decision.
"U-uhm... what... u-uhmm... I agree; I'll marry Travis, Uncle.” I answered awkwardly, then I glanced at my mother when she held my hand and nodded to me. It's done now; we both agreed; we're getting married. Oh gosh...
"That's good! I'm happy that you both made the same decision. So, Ariel, the wedding is next week, right?" Uncle said it happily.
"Yes, it's better to have it early."
"In the church or in the judge?" Aunt Kim asked. I just continued eating because that's all my parents were waiting for. They'll take care of everything. I looked at Trish when she kicked my foot.
From her gaze alone, I knew what she meant. She was asking if I was okay. I just smiled a little and nodded. I know she's worried about me because of this arrangement with her brother.
"Let's just have it in the judge first, if it's okay with you. It's faster to get married there. And It's just for us to know about the wedding. What's important is that they get married and show the board members that Travis is married. If everything is okay, Eunice and Travis can get married in church. We'll make it grand; we'll celebrate their wedding. Is that okay with you, Ariel? How about with you, Erin? with you, Travis?" Uncle asked everyone with smile.
I prefer to just have it in front of the judge because it's just for us. My dream is to get married in church with the man I love and who loves me. But with Travis, it's just me who loves him.
"It's okay with me, dad." Travis spoke briefly.
"It's okay with us too, Troy." Daddy replied.
"How about you, Eunice?" I smiled briefly at Aunt Kim.
"It's okay with me too, Aunt." I replied shyly.
"Finally! What we've been dreaming of, Erin, will happen." Aunt Kim happily said while looking at Mommy, her smile reaching ear to ear.
"We will finally have peace of mind." Mommy replied.
I let out a sigh and finished my meal. I let them talk and didn't want to interfere. The three of us, Trish, and I became quiet while our parents happily chatted away.

I smiled as I looked up at the sky, it was so beautiful and refreshing, and the weather seemed lovely today. As the wind blew, I closed my eyes and felt the cool breeze on my skin.
I was in that state when someone suddenly pulled me.
"Ouch!" I screamed in surprise, my eyes widened when I saw who was pulling me. What was he doing here? What does Travis need from me?
"Come with me, Aaliyah," he said coldly. Okay, this feels like deja vu. But why is he talking like that? He sounds scary, like something's changed in him.
"Where are you taking me?" I asked, confused.
"We have something to talk about," he replied in a cold voice. What could that be? I just let him take me wherever he was going to take me.

Travis “What's bothering me, Hubby, is who he is. Why was he looking at me? Or let's say, at the house? It's suspicious because people don't just enter this place without living here.” As I listened to my wife, I could hear the fear in her voice as she recounted the story. I turned my gaze back to the gate outside. She's right, you don't just enter this subdivision; security is tight. It is suspicious. Or maybe he has strong connections, so he got in easily. When money is involved, people change. They follow orders easily. I wondered if the person Aaliyah saw and the one who sent me the dead bird were the same. Tsk. It's not impossible... this has started, and he targeted my wife first. “Does Trish know this?”I asked before gently pulling her closer to put my arm around her shoulders. I noticed her rubbing her arm, a sign that she was uncomfortable. “Yes, I told her. I couldn't settle down that night; I couldn't sleep well because of the fear, Hubby. I wanted to tell yo
Travis What the heck is this? Who sent me this kind of sh*t?! My forehead furrowed as I saw a piece of paper inside the box. Slowly, I came over and took it. Something was written, so I read it. 'Congratulations on the merger of Dela Cerna Corp and TDC clothing line, as well as the fashion show. You look very happy and contented, Dela Cerna, but bad news – gradually, your happy days will end soon. Good luck! Ps: I hope you like my little gift to you, Dela Cerna. See you soon...' D*mn it! Who is this? I clenched my fist with the paper. Then I threw it back in the box. Angrily, I went to my swivel chair and faced the intercom to call my secretary. “Santos, come here, now!” I slammed my hand on the intercom, then leaned back on my swivel chair, massaging my temples. The door opened. “Yes, sir? What do you need--Holy sh*t!” Santos paused, unable to believe what he saw – a dead bird on the floor. He looked at me with concern before fully entering. “Lock the door,”
Aaliyah I was busy designing Mr. Tan's tuxedo when the door opened. I didn't bother to look up. “Mam Aaliyah?” It's Jam, my secretary; she was the one who entered. “Yes? Do you need something, Jam?” I answer without looking at her. My attention was still focused on what I'm doing. “This is the copy of the contract signed by the models that you requested,” she politely said. I nod and gesture for her to just place them on the side of my table. She quietly follows my instruction. “Thank you, Jam,” I express my gratitude after she's done. “Welcome, Mam. Do you need anything else? Would you like coffee or juice?” she asks again. “No, not for now. I'll ask for juice later when I finish what I'm working on. You can go out; I'll call you when I send for the juice. Thank you,” I reply, my gaze still on the sketch pad. “Okay, Mam. I'll leave now,” she nods and exits. Suddenly, I remember something I need to ask Jam. When I look up, she's near the door, so I quickly
I was surprised when all the models greeted me with applause backstage. They were happily clapping. “You were amazing, Tita Aaliyah!” “We watched you on the screen here; you were absolutely fantastic.” “Congrats, Mom! You were still amazing!” “You're truly legendary, Mam Aaliyah!” “You looked so sexy walking earlier, Mam Aaliyah. Your presence was captivating.” “You're really different on stage, Mam Aaliyah. You carried yourself so well.” “Yes, especially when Mam Aaliyah winked at Sir Travis!” “Yeah, it was so romantic! You and Sir are a perfect match!” I suddenly felt embarrassed by the comments from the adult models. Gosh, they saw that. But it's heartwarming that they're all here to congratulate me. They really waited for me to finish. “Thank you, thank you! You really surprised me. You were all amazing earlier. Remember what I said, okay? Don't rush back to the backstage immediately after our final walk. I have an announcement, okay?” They
It still feels different when someone admits to you that they idolize you. I didn't expect it to be like this. And it's evident from her that she idolizes me because she even knew about my past role as Alice Mendez. It seems like she noticed and read my thoughts. She chuckled modestly while holding one of my hands. “It may not be obvious, but I'm your fan, Miss Aaliyah. I'm glad to finally see you. I tried several times to meet you, but it never matched my schedule,” she explained with a smile that made her even more beautiful, if I'm not mistaken. Trishana mentioned to me that Vivien is one of her admired models. She'll surely be delighted when she finds out she's here. “She's telling the truth, Mrs. Dela Cerna. She really insisted on coming with me. We almost had a disagreement at first because I didn't want to bring her,” Mr. Montenegro said with a smile before turning to his wife. “If you didn't bring me today, I would have ignored you for a week, and you wouldn't be
Before we could reach our husband, there were many visitors who blocked our way to greet us, exchange pleasantries, and take pictures. Trisha was even subtly pinching my arm, eager to approach her husband. But what could we do? We couldn't just leave the guests. That's why we went outside to help Travis talk to the guests. However, we weren't able to join them. When a waiter passed by, she even got wine, taking two and giving me one. Tsk, she forgot that I wasn't going to drink even if it's just a little. I'm going to walk on the stage later. But it's okay, I won't finish it. I might enjoy it later. If the husband hadn't called the woman we were talking to, she wouldn't have left. “Finally, I thought we wouldn't be able to leave. Come on! Walk faster so we can get to our husbands.” She pulled me, disregarding our appearance and posture. We were getting close when Travis noticed me. His serious face earlier slowly brightened when he saw me. A beautiful smile appeared on his
AaliyahEvent Day As early as noon, Trish and I were already at the company to check the auditorium if everything was in order and nothing was missed. Trish was assigned to check everything, including the catering. Travis trusted her to make sure everything was okay. Meanwhile, I was busy with the dresses that the models were going to wear. The makeup artists arrived early and set up their equipment. They arranged their makeup on the vanity mirrors in the dressing room. The models should start getting ready at exactly three o'clock.. We told them to come early and not be late. Everyone was busy with their assigned tasks. I was just finishing up my work, So that when it's my turn to get make up, everything would be settled and there would be no more problems. At 2 pm, other models started to arrive, including my daughter who was super excited.“Sweetie, you're early. Where are your friends? Aren't they with you?” I asked her sweetly as she moved away from my embrace.
Trish and I continued to fix the dresses. We're bringing them down to the first floor, where the models' dressing room will be. Good thing my headache cooperated and went away before noon. Now I'm observing the people setting up the Auditorium. They're arranging the tables, chairs, and lights. I was in that state when I felt hands creeping around my waist. I smiled because just from the scent alone, I already knew who it was - my husband. No one else would give me a back hug like that. “How are you feeling, Wife? I bumped into Trisha, she told me you had a headache earlier. Are you okay now?” He asked affectionately but with a hint of concern. I was surprised by what he said. Trish can be really talkative sometimes. She even told her brother. But that's just how she is. When it comes to serious matters, I can always count on my friend. “I'm okay now, Hubby. I already took some medicine,” I replied while still watching the people fixing the lights. “Are you sure? Why
Aaliyah I was sitting on my swivel chair with my eyes closed, feeling sleepy and having a headache because I didn't sleep well. I'm disturbed by the person I saw in front of our house last night. I can't get it out of my mind. It's really scary that someone was watching us. But it's strange because the subdivision has strict management and only well-known people live there. Prominent individuals. The person standing in front of the house was wearing a jacket and a hat, so I couldn't tell if it was a man or a woman. And the question is, what is he/she doing at this time of night in front of our house, wearing that kind of outfit? Even though I didn't see his/her face, I'm sure he/she was looking at me, at our room with Travis. Because of what happened, I couldn't sleep well and now I have a headache when I have so many things to do. I went to work early today because I still have to prepare the clothes that the models will wear tomorrow. We're getting ready for four outfit chan
