A Surreal Escape

Aniya blinked her eyes to make sure she was not dreaming. How could this person be in front of her now? Was she hallucinating? She even rubbed her watery eyes to clear her slightly blurry vision but he still didn't fade. He was actually in front of her.

Her mouth hung open a bit whereas shock engulfed her wide sea-green eyes. The corner of his mouth stretched upward into an amused smirk after witnessing that reaction on her face. She didn't even try to hide the obvious.

Aniya, who was peering at him like a statue, completely perplexed and dazed, finally came back to her senses when her eyes travelled towards his hand and she saw him sipping from the glass of liquor he was holding. His eyes were fixed at her face which made her gulp.

Tearing her eyes away from him, Aniya looked around her surroundings. Where was she? Was she kidnapped? Why couldn't she remember anything? And what exactly was he doing here with her?
