Raymond’s POV

With Jude's shadows protecting me and the light flaring as it charges, I exclaim, "The vampire lord is huge." The ritual room in Selene's hideout is a complete mess—the runes are glowing red, the altar is cracked, and the air is so heavy with magic and blood that it makes my skin crawl. The vampire lord is a monstrosity, taller than a truck, with eyes like coals, claws that tear through stone like paper, and dripping fangs. I'm shaky, the counter-ritual draining me like I'm bleeding out, but my hybrid powers are going crazy, light and shadow twisting inside me. Jude is right next to me, his hand catching mine as the shadows dart around. His voice is rough but full of fire as he yells, "Stay with me, sunshine!" Our bond hums, keeping me from crumbling.

"It's too strong, Jude!" I yell as I avoid a claw that slams into the floor and scatters rocks. The lord's arm is burned by my light blast, but it roars and hardly slows. After the last fight, Dante is on the ground with bl

Jude’s POV“We’re home,” I say, kissing Raymond under the sun, peace all around us in the stronghold’s sunny fields, the rebuilt homes glowing with wards. His light sparks, warm against my shadows, and he smiles, eyes soft but tired from all the fights—Calix, the blade, the echo. “Feels good, huh?” he says, voice low, grabbing my hand, his light steady despite his shaky legs.“Damn right, sunshine,” I say, pulling him close, kissing him again, tasting dust and him, our bond humming like a fire. “You okay?”“Barely,” he says, laughing soft, light flaring. “But with you? I’m great.”“Love you,” I say, voice rough, and he grins, light sparking brighter. “Love you too, Jude,” he says, and we walk toward the stronghold, hand in hand, feeling like we finally won.Dante’s leaning on a wall, blood gone from his shirt, shadows calm for once. “You two saved us all,” he says, smirking, but his eyes are warm. “This place looks good now.”“Thanks,” I say, shadows curling. “You helped, man. Raymond’s POVThe urban ruins around us are a damn mess, broken buildings glowing with the blade’s light, air thick with the echo’s dark energy. I’m standing in the street, heart pounding, the Seraphin blade humming in my hand. “Echo’s rising—stop it,” I say, my light clashing with the ghostly uprising forces shimmering like pissed-off ghosts from Calix’s betrayal. Jude’s right beside me, shadows curling around my arm.“We can handle this, sunshine,” he says, voice rough, grabbing my hand, shadows cool against my sweaty skin.“Gotta do this, Jude,” I say, light sparking, legs shaky from the blade hunt. “This echo’s tied to that damn blade we found. It’s calling war.”“Together,” he says, kissing my cheek quick, tasting sweat. “Always.”“Damn right,” I say, smiling despite the pain in my chest. “You scared?”“Hell no,” he says, grinning, shadows flaring. “Let’s kick their ghostly asses.”Dante’s nearby, blood crusted on his shirt from the blade fight. “This is gonna be a shitshow,” he

Jude’s POVThe jungle’s thick as hell, air heavy with damp and decay, vines choking the ruins like a noose. Crumbling temples loom ahead, stones glowing with old magic that makes my skin crawl like it’s alive. I grip Raymond’s hand tight, his light glowing soft but steady, cutting through the suffocating dark. He’s pale as death from the vampire realm fights, heart weak from sealing those ancient entities, but his eyes spark with stubborn hope that keeps me grounded. My shadows curl around him, a shield against whatever’s coming.“Blade’s hidden deep,” I mutter, voice rough, scanning the dark. “We’ll find it, Jude,” Raymond says, voice low but fierce, squeezing my hand, his light warm against my shadows, sending a jolt through my chest.“Damn right, sunshine,” I say, pulling him close, kissing his temple, tasting sweat and him, our bond humming like a storm. “Scared?”“With you? Hell no,” he says, smiling despite the exhaustion carved into his face, light flaring. “Let’s get that damn

  • His Straight Pet   Chapter 193

Raymond’s POVThe clearing outside the stronghold is quiet, the stone walls and glowing wards fading into the mortal realm’s rural dark. A portal to the vampire world swirls before us, red and black energy churning like a storm, making my skin crawl like it’s alive. My heart’s still aching from the entity fight, where we sealed those ancient bastards, and I’m tired as hell, legs shaky from exhaustion. Jude’s beside me, his shadows curling around my arm, grounding me, his eyes sharp but soft when they meet mine, like he’d burn the world for me.“Realm needs us,” I say, light flickering, voice steadier than I feel. Jude grabs my hand, shadows cool against my sweaty skin. “You sure you’re up for this, sunshine?” he says, voice rough as gravel, worry etched in his frown.“We gotta help Dante, Jude,” I say, light sparking, trying to sound brave. “You with me?”“We’ll fix this, sunshine,” he says, kissing my cheek, tasting sweat and dust, our bond humming like a warm fire. “Together?”“Alwa

Jude’s POVThe temple’s a damn wreck, cracked stone pillars leaning like drunk giants, relic fragments scattered like broken stars, glowing faint in the dark. The air’s thick with dark energy, making my skin crawl, rifts tearing open in the ground. Raymond’s beside me, his light steady but flickering, pale as hell from the Seraphin rescue and killing Calix’s spirit in the hidden realm. His eyes burn with stubborn hope, and my heart’s pounding just looking at him, pride and fear mixing like a storm.“Entities rising—again,” I growl, shadows merging with his light, our powers blending like fire and night. “We can take these bastards, Jude,” he says, voice low but fierce, grabbing my hand, his light warm against my shadows.“Damn right, sunshine,” I say, pulling him close, kissing his forehead, tasting sweat and him, our bond humming like a live wire. “You scared?”“With you? Never,” he says, smiling despite the pain in his eyes, light sparking. “Let’s end this shit.”“Together,” he says

  • His Straight Pet   Chapter 191

Raymond’s POVThe forest is a dark maze, trees twisted like specters in the pitch-black night, their branches clawing at the sky. The Seraphin signal pulses in my chest, like a second heartbeat, urging me forward despite the ache from the hidden realm where I nearly died killing Calix’s spirit. My light slices through the gloom, a flickering torch against the oppressive dark, but my heart’s weak, pain stabbing with every step. Jude’s beside me, his shadows curling around my arm, grounding me, his presence a lifeline in this mess.“Signal’s strong—let’s find them,” I say, light flaring bright, voice steadier than I feel. Jude grabs my hand, his eyes sharp but soft, like he’s ready to fight the world for me. “You holding up, sunshine?” he says, voice rough as gravel, concern etched in his frown.“Gotta do this, Jude,” I say, light sparking, heart pounding like a drum. “You with me?”“We got this, sunshine,” he says, kissing my cheek, tasting dust and sweat, our bond humming like a warm
