"Nick! Nicholas, come back!"

"I need some time for myself." he said and walked away.

Fourteen years ago I lost my father in a tragic car accident. Our family was a complete and happy family until his death. A few hours before Nick's birthday, he suddenly begs father to buy him something. Even though it was pouring with rain, he still try to make a wish come true for him, but he didn't come home that day. The next day we learned that he had been in a serious accident and could not get out alive due to the dark clouds. Of all the people in the house, my mother suffered the most because she was no longer normal. She also started to blame Nick for father's death. She was cold to him, and not just to him, but to me and Janet as well.

A deep sigh escaped my mouth. He was right, I haven't had any love from my mother since my father died but she is still my mother and I will do my best to get her back on her feet. Suddenly. I was surprised by the sound of my phone. It is an unknown number. I looked at the screen strangely and picked it up anyway.

"Hello?."

"Hi girl!!!" I don't want my eardrums to explode when her screams rip the phone out of my ears.

"Hey, guess who it is this time. Your one and only Tia!" she said excitedly. I knew she was the only one that she could be so crazy.

"Hey! You finally called." I laughed. 

"Of course it was necessary. I made you a promise, remember? This selfish man was not easy at first, so I threatened him". She laughed and I couldn't help laughing. It always amazes me that she can do whatever she wants with him without him getting upset at her. Everyone knows Aaron isn't normal, but my girlfriend wrapped him around her little finger. 

“My darling, I have a lot to tell you. Believe me. I can not wait to see you again. Do you have time this Friday? Maybe some free time for us? You know, we have to catch up for the good old days, it's been years! Also, I want to introduce you to the girls. Do you want it? "

" Girls ? What girls?"

"I'm sure you know Aaron and Nathan have a group of friends..." she trailed off.

"Yes?" I asked, quizzically.

"Their wives are also my friends and they are like sisters to me."

"Does that mean your friends are close to such an unscrupulous person? Who can stand such a cold person?" I said, closing my eyes, hissing before I heard Tiana laugh. 

"You're such a funny girl, Sophia. I don't know what caused the rift between you two, but the Aaron you don't know, is the cutest and kindest. The closer you get to him, the better you'll learn of him."

"No way! That cold person can never be nice. He has no heart and I don't find him cute at all."

did i just lie? Yes indeed! I know I just did.

"You really didn't look at him like that though? Don't forget, I saw the look you gave him this morning."

"I don't know what you mean?" I quickly dismissed the conversation.

"Anyway! Don't forget to give me the address, okay? I'll pick you up on Friday." I'm sure she's not ready to take the conversation further because the Tiana I knew isn't going to brush it off lightly.

"Good. I will give the address at the end of this conversation."

"I'll be happy to have it. Then take care of yourself. I miss you so much."

" Yes me too."

Aaron Samuel

It's a good night, finally. As soon as I entered the house, I was greeted by my parents' servants. I'm having dinner with them tonight... including my brother and his girlfriend Tiana. Tiana and Nathan have been glued to each other for a few months and loved each other very much. I love it though. She's a sweet and funny girl. I'm glad my friend's wives saw what I saw in her. I love them all and care about them very much. My friends all have their wives except me and they love each other very much. They are friends as close as brothers. we love and support each other always. Me, Leonard, Jacob, Nathan, Zoe and Chris have been together since we were kids. 

"he's finally here!" my mother said excitedly.

"mother". I kissed her cheek and hugged her.

"My son, dinner is waiting for you. I'm sure you miss my meal. "

"Father..."

"You're welcome, Aaron." he replied. Dad, he's not a talker, I think I look like him. And Nathan looks like my mother.

"hey!" I said waving to my brother and Tiana.

"Hello Aaron." he said. 

When I arrived, the table was already set. Mom prepared food for everyone and we began to eat quietly. After a while we were done and my father decided to strike up a conversation. "So, how did you come to do the business with Mr. Francisco? I hear you did well and he's given you a 60% profit share. Is that true?” I looked at my brother and he apologised.

"Yes, he did." I replied briefly.

"Hmmm, good!" he murmured.

"So my request? what do you think"

"Father, please don't do that today" I'm starting to get angry. He's forcing me to claim his empire... But I wonder how they expect me to do that. I have countless companies that I work on, it was not easy to have many companies and he also wants me to take care of the biggest one.

"Why? I believe you told me you would think about it. "

“There is a difference between thinking and accepting, father. I still have a lot of responsibility on my companies." I specify 

"What responsibility are you talking about?" Mother intervenes. No no. Not now, mom. If she decides to defend her husband, I can't help it but end up getting into trouble. 

"mother!" I groaned when I saw the look she gave me. 

“What responsibility are you talking about? You've been single for years. I don't know what your problem is. You're rich, you're handsome, we're very rich, and I'm sure a lot of girls are dying to be with you right now. Can you tell me what prevents you from getting married? You don't have a girlfriend or wife to take care of, so what responsibility are you talking about? You are already 31 years old. When do you plan to get married? 45 years old ? Or when your parents left before you started raising your own family?"

"Mother!!!" I screamed. 

“Don't you dare raise your voice against me, young man. i am still your mother. If you don't want me worrying about this, hurry up and bring a woman for me, Aaron. I want you to get married quickly in three months." she said like it's the most simplest thing on earth.

"Mother!" I am again offended. 

"Look at your brother, he gets along very well with Tiana. He's younger than you, but he's already planning his future."

"Mom, can you stop this? Why are you picking at me tonight? I thought tonight was about Nathan and Tia. can you leave me alone because I'm not ready for a relationship or commitment right now. I tried my best to make things work, but it didn't end well and you know it. I have a lot to do right now. the fact that no one is judging or asking why Nathan didn't think of taking over the Empire. He is smart and intelligent. He could take over your business if he wanted to, but he said no and you have nothing to complain about it. But why do you make me do something that I hate?"

"You just didn't tell me that? Tell me, what's the point of a king trying to build a palace without a queen? Listen, Aaron, you only have 3 months left! 3 months to bring home another girl, obviously you won't like it the other side of me when you make me mad about it." she got angry and threatened me when she finished talking.

 For a while I thought she really meant every word she said, but I know her all too well.

"Mom! Believe me when I say that you really need to stop threatening me. Damn, I'm not a kid!"

"language, young man." my father said sternly.

 "Aaron, not now…you need to stay calm" Nathan tried to calm me down. 

“Don't interfere with this. It's your fault!' I looked at him and he immediately fell silent. at such a moment, he should not intervene in a discussion like this. He made it all happen. First of all, it's all his fault. 

"Don't you dare look at him in anger. He will only tell you the truth." my mother supported him. 

"I think I've had enough of this nonsense." I jumped up of my chair and slammed my hand on the table. "I can't believe you did this to me. You made me do something I hate! I'm not a kid anymore! None of you are forcing Nathan to do anything! either player or artist, you both are okay with that but why me?! This has nothing to do with the family business. I am not ready to take responsibility of having a woman for myself yet, but I must obey your wishes, even if it makes me feel bad. Like seriously! I am no longer a child! I'm 31 years old!"

"It doesn't matter how old you are. You have no choice but to listen to us because we are still your parents. Aaron, we are your parents,” my mom shouted. I hate this moment. She was never upset at me. I wonder what drew her to all this. Why is she suddenly like this? Is she hiding something from me that I don't know? Why does she want me to get married when she knows I don't care on things like that at the time being?

"You know what? Enough of this! I think, I'm leaving. I can't sit here and let myself be treated like this, especially from you mother." I pointed accusingly at her and walked away before she could sit me down and force some silly talk that I don't want to hear. 

"Tonight isn't about me, it's about Nathan. But what did you do instead? You screwed it up! You screw everything up!. I'm out of here!" I said angrily. They would spoil my mood tonight, especially my mother if I last one more minutes here. 

"Aaron! Aaron Samuel!! Aaron, turn around and come back here! Where do you think you're going? I'm not done with you yet." I heard her screaming behind me. 

“Mom, calm down. I'm sure he doesn't know what he's talking about right now. You two need to calm down really. I will go talk to him” I heard Nathan say. I swear, he better not show his face. Otherwise, I will hit him so hard and forget that he's my blood. 

"No no. I don't think that's a good idea. Mom, I'm sorry, okay? I'll talk to him. I'm sure Aaron needs some space right now. He understands your effort, but he needs someone to reassure him that everything will be fine. Y'all know what he's been through, and I'm sure he's not doing it on purpose..."

I don't want to listen to their crazy talk right now. Now, I just want to drink!
