“Aamiya, calm down. What he’s saying is true.” Her father spoke, hesitantly.
Aamiya couldn’t control herself anymore and stood up, “This isn’t funny, Dad.”
“You are in his Nikkah. Your Nikkah was done when you were 3 years old.” Her mother declared softly. Asfand sat there, quietly listening and staring at her. He had always known about the Nikkah. This was decided by his parents, as if they knew they wouldn’t live much longer.
His parents had always been open with him, he had even seen pictures of their Nikah. It was his decision to refrain from telling Aamiya about their Nikah, he wanted her to lead a normal life, without the pressure of their Nikah.
Aamiya didn’t understand what was happening around her, “I don’t believe there was a Nikah. I’m not married to anyone.” She shouted and ran away to her room.
She refused to talk to anyone, locking herself in her room all day. When she didn’t come to dinner the following night, Dad started to get worried.
“Give her space. She needs to realize that the way she behaved earlier isn’t acceptable.” Mama spoke. Asfand was uneasy as he heard her, he was well aware that she was hungry since this morning.
“I will go and talk to her.” He said and got up to fill a plate for Aamiya. When he entered her room, he noticed that she was fast asleep. There were faint tear tracks on her cheeks.
He placed her dinner on the side table and sat next to her on the bed. He pushed her hair away from her face and whispered, “Baby, you’re hurting me doing this. Jaan ho aap meri.” (You are my life).
Aamiya felt someone’s touch and woke up slowly, her head heavy from crying. She smiled when her eyes fell on him, but that smile quickly dropped when she remembered all.
“Don’t touch me.” She moved back and away from him. Asfand was hurt by what she said. Aamiya wasn’t too happy either, moving away from him. She’d always seeked comfort in his touch.
“Eat your dinner. You may be angry with me, but not with your food.” He spoke stoically and left her room.
When Aamiya returned to college, her friend asked what was wrong with her. Aamiya didn’t bother to answer, but her friend insisted.
“He said he loves me..” Aamiya said slowly, looking away.
“I knew it! I knew something was up. You were the only one who didn’t notice anything amiss. He was always touching you as if it wasn’t a big deal. Are you not feeling weird about it now? Maybe his touches weren’t so innocent. He is your cousin, he should’ve at least taken that into consideration.” Her friend went on and on.
Aamiya went still with her words. “ I am also in his Nikah. So even if they weren’t innocent, it wouldn't matter, but they were!” She shouted and got up, leaving her friend sitting there with her mouth agape. Aamiya hated anyone saying anything immoral about him. She knew that he never touched her with anything other than pure intentions. His touch was relaxing and loving to her.
A few days later,
The environment at home remained tense. Aamiya spoke to her parents, but didn't say a word to Asfand. No one brought up the Nikah yet. Aamiya was very moody, she cried over minute things. She spent all her time in her room. Asfand was no better, he was always serious, ready to strike out at any point.
Aamiya’s parents weren’t happy with their condition and were starting to worry. It was the first time the both of them weren’t talking to each other and the effect was clear to everyone.
Asfand was in his room when Mama entered. He sat up as soon as she did, with his back against the headboard.
Mama came and sat near him. “What happened?” She asked, noting his bloodshot eyes.
“Nothing, Mama. Just a headache.” He told her with a small smile.
Mama dragged his head on her lap and started massaging it softly. He was laying at an odd angle on the bed.
“When is she going to talk to me again?” He asked with his eyes closed.
Her hand halted for a moment, but she continued massaging.
“Don’t worry, she can’t cope without you for long.”
A while later, Mama decided to ask something that had been bothering her, “Do you really love her? Not as your cousin, but as your wife?”
He opened his eyes and gave her a small sad smile, “Mama, you need to ask me that? I love her more than life itself.”
She knew just how much he loved her daughter; she had seen him go to great extents to fulfill her silly wishes.
“Don’t you worry, my child. She’ll be just like before soon.” Her mother loved him just as she would her own son. This kind, sweet man who loved her daughter unconditionally.
Aamiya's mother returned to her room and sat on the bed, beside her husband, "Have you seen Asfand? Your daughter is hurting herself and my son by doing all this." She said, exasperated.Aamiya's father sighed, "I don't think Aamiya is going to see reason like this. We are going to have to intertwine.""If the marriage is held now, with all customs. Maybe she wouldn't put up a fight anymore. She may accept him in the nearer future." Her mother took a deep breath. "I can't see them like this anymore, hurting so much. Make Aamiya agree somehow, even if you have to be strict for now." Dad nodded. The next evening, Aamiya was reading a book when her father knocked on her door and walked in. She sat up, let her legs hang off the bed. Her father came and sat near her."Aamiya, why are you doing all this?" Dad asked her gently.Tears filled her eyes, "What am I doing, Dad? I can't accept what all of you are saying."Her father sighed, "He is your h
“Maybe, just maybe we’re being unfair to Aamiya forcing her into this. What if she doesn’t want Asfand as her husband?” Her father spoke to her mom.“You haven't seen the way she is these days. She can’t stand a day without him and you are going on about her not accepting him. She just needs to accept the truth and start thinking of him as her husband. She’ll be fine.”Asfand spoke to Dad, he said that the wedding was a must if he wanted Aamiya to accept him anytime soon. The wedding took place 15 days later. Aamiya looked gorgeous and didn’t put up much of a fight after she had seen their childhood Nikah pictures. She didn’t know what she wanted, the right of choosing her spouse was taken from her. She stopped thinking and let things go with their flow.On their wedding night, Aamiya and Asfand entered the room and quietly got ready to sleep. Aamiya hadn’t spoken much to him. She looked so forlorn sitting on the bed, that Asfand couldn’t handle it. He
They reached Murree around midnight. Asfand took the keys from Noor Ali and asked him to leave. Aamiya was really tired, she changed into her night suit and went to bed. When Asfand entered the room after checking around the house, he saw Aamiya stretched out on the bed, wiggling her slightly red toes.He sat on the bed and asked her, “What’s wrong?” He was dead tired himself.“My feet hurt, I am never going to wear heels again.” She muttered softly, pouting.Asfand let out a low chuckle, he was aware that Aamiya didn’t like wearing heels, she couldn't stand the pain afterwards. Afand took her feet, placed them in his lap and started rubbing them gently.Aamiya tried to pull her feet away, “Asfi, please don’t.”Asfand looked at her sharply, “Why? I don’t think comforting you is going to make me any less of a man.” He spoke and Aamiya went silent.Aamiya enjoyed the massage for a while and then said, “I feel better now. Asfi, please stop.”
The next morning, Asfand was getting ready for the meeting, when Aamiya went to him.“I don’t want to stay here alone.” She pouted. Asfand turned towards her and kissed her forehead.“I will be back before lunch.” He tried to make her understand.“Take me with you.” She said, fluttering her eyelashes.“I will be busy, you’ll only be bored.” Asfand said.“Please.” She pleaded and Asfand conceded.“Ok. Get ready. We’ll even do lunch and shopping after.” He said.“You’re the best, Asfi!” Aamiya exclaimed and placed a quick kiss on his cheek, running away to get ready. They headed out after breakfast. Arriving at the office, the employees were shell shocked to see Asfand smiling and being calm. They were used to their hardcore boss. And now, seeing him be so sweet with a girl was nothing but a huge surprise for them.Asfan took Aamiya to his office. She took a seat on the furthest sofa, away from his table and got busy on her p
She straightened suddenly, and before Asfand could figure out what was happening, she was straddling his lap.“Doll..” Asfi rasped. Before he could say anything else, Aamiya placed her lips on his. It was a mere brush of lips. Asfand was shocked to his core. As Aamiya started to pull away, Asfand grabbed the back of her neck and pulled her back down again. He kissed her hungrily, sucking on her tongue and biting her lips. He wasn’t able to control himself, his imagination didn’t hold a candle next to the reality. Her sweet taste was driving him crazy. When pulled away to breathe, Aamiya shoved her face in his shoulder. “I wanted to see if I would like being intimate with you.” She mumbled against him, her heart pounding loudly.Asfand smiled widely and pulled her face to look up. “So, how did it go?” He asked, teasingly. She went more red than she already was.“Asfi, don’t tease me.” She whined and hid her face again. Asfand let out a chuckle, he placed
After returning to Islamabad, Aamiya got busy with her studies as she had a lot to catch up on. She was busy writing something, when Asfand came into their room one evening. He went to her and gently patted her head, “Assalamualaikum, Doll.” He greeted and took a seat beside her. Aamiya leaned into him involuntarily and returned the greeting. He placed a kiss on her forehead, then one down on her nose. Aamiya closed her eyes in bliss. She knew that he would kiss her lips next. When she didnt feel anything for a while, she opened her eyes in confusion.“Can I kiss you? Do you want it?” Asfand asked, his breath fanning her lips.Aamiya reddened, she should’ve known that he wasn’t going to kiss her without being sure of her feelings. She nodded her head and gave his chin a small kiss. Before she knew it, Asfand was on her lips. He kissed her softly, licking her lips, sucking them. Aamiya placed her arms around his neck and pulled him closer. His touch was something sh
Her parents came into the room after a while, to inquire about his health.“He will be discharged in an hour. The doctors just want to make sure there are no internal injuries.”“How is the boy on the bike?” Asfand asked about the person he got into the accident with.“He is fine, you turned away your car before you could hit him. He just fell onto the road. You’re the one who’s hurt.” Her father informed him.-------------The doctor checked on Asfand one last time and then he was allowed to leave. Aamiya took care of him all the time. 4 days later, he was feeling a lot better, but Aamiya refused to let him go to the office.“No. The doctor said a week, and Dad is handling everything perfectly. Don’t you worry.” She said. Then pouted teasingly, “OR is it that you’re bored of me?” She asked.Asfand pulled her to him, “Can that ever happen?” He asked and kissed her nose, while she let out a sweet giggle. They spent their days watc
A few months later,Asfand was on a call, when Aamiya went to him in the living room. She waited for a moment and pouted when she realized his call would take longer to finish. Still pouting, she started to go away when Asfand caught her hand and pulled her into his lap. Showing no resistance, she sighed and buried her head in his shoulder. Asfand continued his conversation and kept stroking her arm. When finished, he kissed her forehead and asked. “What happened to my doll?”He had a vague idea as to what was going on, she was getting tired a lot lately and had missed her menstrual cycle for about 2 months. She hadn’t noticed but he did.“I’m just feeling down.” She said with a pout.“Is that so? Why don’t we go for a long drive?” He asked lovingly, making her smile. He took her to the doctor first. “Why are we here?” She asked in confusion.“Because we need confirmation.” He said with a smile and took her inside. It was thus co
