CHAPTER 12: Caught in a dilemma

We shifted into our wolf forms and lunged at him, poised to take him down. However, the rogue was faster than we had expected.

He fought back fiercely, using every trick in the book.

'This is not like any wolf we’ve ever faced,’ Cauldron said through our mind links, the tension in his voice betraying his calm facade.

"Of course it isn't, and you all are going to die," Anson remarked with a maniacal laugh.

"Don't waver; we have to bring it down," Ashton encouraged.

Then we attacked, and just when it seemed like the rogue had the upper hand, Cauldron charged in with his strength to strike.

Then… bam! The rogue counterattacked, hitting him midair.

Cauldron flew across the open field and landed with a thud.

“Cauldron,” I screamed.

With an angry roar, the Lycan swung a powerful punch at the rogue and finally landed a blow, sending the rogue sprawling to the ground.

Out of the corner of my eye, I spotted Anson dashing into the bushes. I returned to my human form and so did the others.
