chapter 3 what's his problem

We walked for a few more miles until we reached the border we hide behind some bolder rock until the patrol shift starts.

When the guard walks away when the time comes we quickly make our way to the road so we can be home free and away from this place all of a sudden kalib slams my body to a tree and covers my mouth with his hand.

I knew it I knew it was to good to be true an alpha helping a disowned non shifting wolf it was to good to be true he is trying to get me killed “ shhh be quiet the next shift patrols are here “

He lets go of me once I stop squirming I look behind the tree I was pushed against and he was telling the truth they really were here how the hell did they get here fast “can you smell that “ one of the patrol guards say they start sniffing the air and am pretty sure its me they smell because I have been running for more than an hour I’m probably sweating like a pig I start freaking out when they start making there way toward us.

Kailb sees this and gets a jacket out of his bag and motion for me to wear it I do as he says and he signals me to be quiet I sign ok then he just walks out to them “ alpha “ they say equally , even tho he is not there alpha yet he is still respected as he is “ gentlemen “

“ what brings you here alpha “ one of the guards chiming in kailb looks toward him and says “ joining the hunt “ he says calmly “ but isn’t the hunt for that pup on the other side of the border “ the same guard says making my blood boil no one calls me pup “ she is not a pup “ kailb says with a strain look “ oh ya , she isn’t even a wolf at all“ they all laugh together.

There right I’m not I’m never going to be I’m never going to fit in any where, to much raised like a wolf to become like a human and to human to live with the wolfs .

” I’m was heading to the border to see if she made it out “ kailb’s words bring me back from my self pity “ let us help you then “ one of the other guard say “ NO” he screamed at them “ I mean I cant do it alone its not far “ he compose him self and told them to carry on as they walked way I slowly made my way out from the tree .

“ you have got to stop slamming me against trees and don’t think my back can take any more of this assault “ I say groaning and cracking by back “ sorry didn’t mean to push you so hard but it could have been worse:”

“ how could it have been worse “ I say shocked “

“ they could have seen you “ he say while waking away from me toward the street , he did have a fair point at this point his father has probably give a kill order on me really spy double agent shit kill on site type of situation and if they find out he helped me escape he would be branded a traitor and with the way his father is he would probably have the same fate .

We cross the street and a soon as my feet touch the grass on the other side I fealty a relief and let go of the breath I didn’t even know I was holding we walked some more and we finally found a ride that was .willing to take us the nearest town and it was getting pretty late .

The next morning when we get there kalib decided that we should get a motel I guess I really look messed up cause as soon as we got in the exam he gave me a towel and told me to wash up .

I got in the bathroom and as soon as I took my clothes off all I saw was bruises all over my body I guess I he really did push me too hard.

I realized I left my towel outside so I decided to peak by the door and ask him to pass it but as soon as I open the door there was kailb standing there with it about to knock on the door then he looked over my body and a sudden black flash came over his eyes .

He started at the big bruise that was by my side ,the more he stood there the darker his eyes got and I realized I was still standing in front of him in my underwear and bra so I take the towel way from him and cover my body that seems to knock him out of and state he was in so he looks up at me and just walks out “kailb” I call out but he just ignored me and walked out

“what’s his problem” I say to no one in particular then go back to my shower.
