The betrayal that made him a monster. The lie that could destroy him. Once, Henry was gentle, ruled only by his love for Emalia. Then, he found her with his brother. The kind Alpha heir died that day; the merciless Alpha Henry rose in his place – breathtakingly fierce, chillingly dominant. Eight years of icy hatred later, Emalia reappears, marked for death. Despite his loathing, Henry cannot let her die. He drags her into the gilded cage of Sky Pack, determined to shield her only so he can show her the hollow ruin she left behind. But proximity is poison. The fire between them rages, hotter than hate, deeper than memory. And as they circle each other in a dangerous dance, the shadows stir with the chilling truth: her betrayal wasn't what it seemed. Unearthing it could be the final blow that breaks them both.

Episode 1

Emalia 's POV:

The weight of betrayal hung heavy in the air as we made our way towards the Moon Pack, the tension in the car almost palpable. It had been a harrowing week, filled with fear and uncertainty, ever since the revelation that my own father, Alpha Remon, had sold me to Alpha Nefarious of the Dark Pack. The shock of his betrayal still reverberated through me, leaving me reeling with disbelief and anger.

Candis Pack, my once-beloved home, now felt like a prison, its walls closing in on me with each passing moment. My father's weakness and desperation had led him to make a deal with the devil himself, sacrificing his own daughter for the promise of power and protection. It was a betrayal that cut me to the core, leaving me feeling abandoned and alone.

But my mother, ever resourceful and cunning, had not stood idly by. She had secretly arranged for me to be sent to the Moon Pack, where I would find sanctuary and protection from Nefarious's cruel clutches. It was a desperate gamble, but one that I prayed would pay off in the end.

As we journeyed towards the Moon Pack, Caroline, my loyal handmaid, offered me a small smile of encouragement. But even her unwavering support could not dispel the dark cloud of despair that hung over me.

"We're on our way to the Moon Pack," I murmured softly to myself, the words feeling surreal on my tongue. Fate had dealt me a cruel hand, thrusting me into a world of uncertainty and danger.

I lowered the car window, letting the cool breeze wash over me as I sighed deeply. The road ahead was fraught with peril, but I knew I had to steel myself for the challenges that lay ahead.

My mother's car trailed behind ours, her presence a silent reassurance in the face of adversity. Together, we would face whatever trials awaited us at the Moon Pack, united in our determination to survive and thrive in the face of adversity.

The last time I saw Henry , he wasn't the alpha of the Moon Pack. Well, now he is, and I'm on my way to meet him, to plead with him to rescue me from Nefarious, who has been lurking in my shadow for a few weeks now.

I would have preferred to run to another pack for help, but no, my dad and I knew Henry  was the only one who would keep me safe.

A man who is the most feared Alpha of all twelve packs. A man whom I loved with all my heart, and still do.

I shut my eyes against the painful memories and again sigh softly. The expression on his face eight years ago, when he caught me in bed with his brother, Gavi, clouds my thoughts, and I gulp nervously. He would never forgive me, I know.

I wouldn't beg for his forgiveness because I knew I was at fault. I was too stupid to have fallen victim to Gavi's acts.

When Henry  caught me with his brother, he never listened to my explanation. Never have I seen him so angry and murderous as he was that night.

"I swear to you, Henry , I didn't know what happened." That was my only feeble defense. My only explanation was that he never listened. Truly, I didn't know how or what happened. I recalled that I visited Henry  just as always one wet night. The massive gate was opened for me by Gavi, Henry 's younger brother.

"Henry  is in the training room. Here, have some tea and relax. I will go ahead and call upon him for you." That was the only word I heard from Gavi that night. I remembered receiving the cup of tea from him and... he next thing I saw was Henry  staring at me in…

"We are here!" I heard Caroline say it in a singsong voice, dragging me back to reality. I realized the massive gate of the Moon Pack has been opened for us—the gate that only opens for a good, tangible reason. My heart caught up in my throat at once when the car eased into Moon Pack. The richest and most peaceful pack there is. The wind splashed across my face wickedly, and I lowered my eyelids.

The man who has been driving, sorry I didn't know his name, alighted and turned around to open the car door for me. I stepped out reluctantly to stare around the vicinity.

My green eyes caught the sight of happy children playing around. My acute hearing overheard the laughter from the people, and instinctively, I smiled. The man who opened the car door for me now was busy carrying down my luggage from the car bonnet.

I turned towards the second car, just in time to see my mother alighting.she  was smiling. I c****d up an eyebrow in confusion and turned to the direction he was staring at.

He looks quite murderous and angry; his face seems as though it were carved out of stone. He drew closer, and I heard Caroline gasp softly. I would have gasped as well if I hadn't been practicing my etiquette. This man right here is breathtakingly handsome.

"Aron," "I heard my Mother say while smiling happily. The man he had called Aron nodded stiffly before bowing slightly before my dad. They both seem to know each other. " Emalia , This is Aron. He is the beta of Moon Pack and Alpha Lure's son.

" My heart dropped right into my stomach as soon as I heard my mother's words. Aron? Oh! No wonder they knew each other; I failed to attend Henry  Coronation Day. The day he became an alpha and the day Aron was appointed as his beta—that was seven years ago, but my  mom and dad has attended. Sir Darakine, Henry 's mother's death has been a shock to everyone, including my mother , who has been her childhood friend. My mother has rushed at once to console Henry  about the demise of his mother, and I would have tagged along if I wasn't so sure Henry  wouldn't grant me an audience. It seems like a long time, but the feelings and memories are still fresh in my sad heart.

I willed myself to look up at the man's face, and I shuddered violently when I saw the death look he offered me. Or was he that way?.

"I'm Emalia ," I heard myself say with a fake smile, and he nodded.

Aron," he answered with a wrinkle on his nose. He darted his brown chocolate eyes away from me and faced my dad. Alpha Henry  has been waiting for you.

I blinked rapidly when I heard his words. Henry  has been awaiting us?. Aron didn't wait for any response; he turned and led the way. His broad shoulders make me look away as he walks away into a large building. Aron leads the way through the narrow hallway, where a maid quickly runs to us. He stopped suddenly and turned towards Caroline, his nose still wrinkled, as though he were perceiving an unpleasant scent.

"Follow this fine lady with your luggage; she will show you your room," he said dryly, still staring at Caroline. No one spoke for a few seconds until my mother nudged me from behind.

"Won't you follow the beta's instructions?" My mom whispered from behind me, and I jerked back to reality.

Oh, was he speaking to me? I asked myself in awe. I turned to Caroline and back to Aron, who was still busy staring hard at my hand, maid.

Suddenly, the scent of flowers combined with the scent of blood clouded my thoughts. I gritted my teeth to steady myself when I perceived this familiar scent. The scent of my mate, the scent of the man I have loved and still do, the scent of Alpha Henry .

I reluctantly raised my head, only for me to see a silhouette of a man at the end of the hall.

He is the one; I'm sure of it. The man at the end of the hall started walking towards us until, finally, we could make out his face. Immediately, I regretted ever returning to Moon Pack at that moment

He drew nearer, and I would have sworn this was my first time witnessing such beauty and elegance.

Handsome in an understated way, his basalt jaw and Spartan broad shoulders spoke of the strength he possessed. His hair was a casual jumble, but it was at the same time neat and flowing. I realized he possessed a latent, leonine power and that he was walking with purpose and authority.

His crescent moon eyebrows were thin and narrow; his were Mariner blue eyes, and I saw them gleam with an unread expression and also the vigor of youth. I yelled at his presence, and to my surprise, he smiled brightly. At once, my worries vanished into the wind. I was about to break into a smile when, disappointingly, I saw his eyes actually on my mother..

"Mother ," he called out in delight.

His voice was deep and mellifluous to my hearing, while the swirl of his loamy cologne had me swooning in thought.

He dashed towards my dad for a tight hug, and I looked away guiltily. Who was I kidding? That Henry  would hug me after all I have done to him?.

"Look at you, all grown up," I heard my mother say to Henry  as he pulled back from his embrace.

Henry  usually addresses my mom as "mother ." He never changes it, even though he has actually changed.

"Let's go in, mother ," Henry  says in a deep, mesmerizing voice. He turned to Aron and clenched his teeth. "Get them settled down and come at once; I need you." He instructed me coldly before walking away without casting me a glance.

Them? As in, I and my maid?

I sniffed back tears of regret and sighed softly. No doubt, he never forgives me after this many years.

"Show them their room, Ellie," Aron whispers to the maid, who had kept silent the entire time. He walked slowly towards me, and I frowned in confusion. I stepped backward in somewhat fear, "Steer clear of the Alpha; I won't let you hurt him again." He whispers into my ear before walking away.

I gulped down nervously as I watched Beta Aron retreat back after he sent me a warning. I sighed roughly as tears of regret and fear threatened to trail out.

There and then, I knew I was not welcome in the Moon Pack...

not at all.
