If I could kiss you and go to hell, I would, so that I can brag to the devil and the demons how I saw heaven without entering – William Shakespeare

~

Henry stopped in front of the nightclub and got out to open the door for the young master. Eric stood next to him and looked around. For a weekday, the club was pretty busy. There was a long line, and Eric wondered if they would have to wait for hours to get in. His question was soon answered when the doorman bowed to Harry and welcomed him inside without hesitation.

Harry turned around and smirked when he saw the confusion on Eric’s face.

“Let’s go”, he tilted his head and walked inside.

Eric silently followed until he could feel the vibrations haunting the dark place. The music got louder little by little, and they soon arrived at the main lounge. One of the hosts greeted Harry with a hug. Eric was surprised by his appearance; he was half-naked and only wearing a black boxer with a bunny tail behind and a bowtie around his neck. He had black eyeliner on and silver glitter on his eyelids, without forgetting pink blush and gloss on his lips.

“Your table is ready”, he told Harry, “the same bottle?”

Harry nodded and took the stairs that took him to the VIP section, overlooking the lounge and the dancefloor.

“Look who’s here!” a guy, wearing a white shirt and expensive watch around his wrist, put his arm around Harry’s shoulders and joined him at the table. “I wasn’t expecting to see you here tonight”.

“I don’t go around announcing my arrival, Jake”, Harry rolled his eyes and took a sip of his champagne.

“Daddy”, Jake corrected, pulling Harry closer, “why don’t you call me daddy? I’m older than you”.

Harry shrugged and whispered something that made Jake smirk.

Eric had no idea what he was witnessing. When he looked away to avoid the so-affectionate action going on between Harry and Jacob, he saw even worse scenarios on the dancefloor. Men around their twenties were dancing together, some rubbing the others’ ass while the rest were kissing. Eric gulped and looked down.

“First time in a gay club?” Harry asked, that stupid smirk still on his face.

“First time in a club”, Eric replied as he looked around, impressed by all the colors and the loud music.

“I heard Harry is here”, another guy joined, holding two boys – probably eighteen or nineteen – on each side. “Oh, you got the bottle, huh?” he laughed, “It’s always good to have you here”, he took a seat and the boys sat on his laps, “pour me some”, he tells them, and they do as told.

“Get you some champagne too”, he whispered and kissed the back of their necks.

Eric frowned as he thought the boys looked young, even if they were at a legal age to go to a club. Harry’s friend must be older than him.

“Who’s this?” the newcomer asked, pointing at Eric, “your new boyfriend?”

“My bodyguard. He’s new”.

“Don’t your bodyguards usually wear suits and look old?”

“His suit isn’t ready yet”, Harry sighed, “since when were you interested in my bodyguards, Sam?”

“I’m usually not”, Sam mumbled and looked at Eric, checking him out from head to toe, “but this one looks different”.

“Sure, he is”.

Eric jumped when someone suddenly blew on his neck. He turned around and found a guy, surely another one of Harry’s friends.

“Damn, Harry, where did you get this one?” he caressed Eric’s arm.

“What are you doing?” Eric grabbed his wrist and glared at him.

“Oh, sexy”, the guy bit his lower lip. Eric frowned and looked at Harry who was only smirking at him.

“Hey man, there’s nothing left for me”, Harry pouted as he held the empty champagne bottle.

“Let’s order another one”, Sam lifted his hand, and the waiter knew what he was asking.

Eric looked at the champagne bottle. Even though he wasn’t much of a drinker, he knew it was expensive, but Harry looked unbothered as his friends kept ordering more every time.

Harry started getting drunk, and Jake enjoyed it as he kept licking his neck and kissing it.

Eric didn’t know where to look at. Men were making out everywhere around the club. He couldn’t even go to the bathroom as he had to keep an eye on Harry should something happen to him.

“Let’s go dance”, Harry said to Jake, who didn’t hesitate to help him stand up and led him downstairs.

Eric sighed and followed them, and soon, shirtless men crowded him, and he kept making disgusted face when their sweaty chests collided with his shirt-Harry’s shirt.

Jake held Harry from behind and moved their bodies to the rhythm as he resumed the neck kissing. Harry closed his eyes and danced as he enjoyed the warmth of his friend’s lips on his skin.

Eric struggled in the crowd as drunk men kept trying to dance with him, but he ignored them all as he only focused on Harry. He couldn’t risk losing his job on his first day.

The DJ played a trendy song, and everyone shouted. Even though he was uncomfortable, Eric found himself joining the singing. Harry also loved the music and he mouthed the lyrics while Jake had his hands all over his body.

Eric held his breath as he knew the beat was about to drop, and he expected the worst. He got close to Harry, and soon, everyone started jumping. An icy smoke enveloped the area and it all became foggy all round, and Eric couldn’t see anything. There were so many people that he didn’t know where Harry was. He could only see silhouettes but no faces.

Men bumped into him as he looked around. He wished he could push them all as he couldn’t tolerate the sweat and alcohol smell. Then, someone stood in front of him, and he recognized Harry’s stripped shirt.

Harry grinned and leaned closer to Eric who held his breath as he looked at him with surprise. Harry was still dancing, and was obviously very drunk. He must have mistaken Eric for his friend as he kept approaching until he was only a few centimeters apart from him.

“What the hell are you doing?” Eric pushed him, and Jake pulled Harry to his chest as he glared at him.

They walked back to their table and found Sam kissing his boys. One of them was nearly lying on the couch. Eric clenched his fists as he hated seeing Sam take advantage of their innocence. It may be consensual, but he knew how easy it was to manipulate teenagers.

Harry and his friends kept drinking for more hours, and Eric was growing impatient as it was too late and he needed to be home. His phone vibrated several times in his pocket. He knew it must be Monica asking where he was, but he couldn’t answer as it would be unprofessional of him.

At around 3:00 AM, Harry finally decided to leave. To Eric’s surprise, his friends didn’t follow him to the cashier. He took the black card from his pocket and paid for all the champagne bottles. Eric saw the price on the screen and widened his eyes as it was too much money.

Jake, Sam, and Dave looked unbothered as if they were used to having him pay for them.

Once outside, his friends only waved him goodbye and left. Sam, of course, left with the two boys, and Eric didn’t even want to know what was going to happen next.

Henry opened the door for Harry. Eric helped him get inside and put his seatbelt on because he was basically too drunk to do anything by himself.

“Have you been waiting all this time?” Eric asked Henry, who nodded.

“That’s a lot”.

“It is”, Henry smiled, “but as long as it pays well, I’m not going to complain”.

“Right”, Eric chuckled.

“You look unbothered, compared to his previous bodyguards”, Henry rubbed his chin.

“What do you mean?”

“They all disliked the fact that Harry went to this sort of places”, Henry said, pointing at the rainbow flag at the entrance of the club. Eric wondered how he didn’t see it before.

“I don’t dislike it”, Eric shrugged, “as long as it doesn’t get out of hand. He just danced and got drunk with his friends. Does he come here often?”

Henry nodded, “You’re going to have to get used to his friends, though. I know they’re not the best”.

Eric hummed, “it’s my first time seeing them, and I can already tell the kind of people they are”, he sighed and looked at the sleeping Harry through the window, “they’re friends with his credit card”.

“Sure they are”, Henry let out a sad sigh, “but don’t tell the young master. He won’t like to hear it”.

Henry dropped Eric at home before going back to the mansion. Eric took a deep breath before opening the door. He quietly took off his shoes and his jacket and headed to the bathroom to take a shower and take off the odors of smoke and sweat.

When he finished, he gasped when he found Monica in front of the door. Her hair was messy, and she had a blanket over her shoulders.

“Where the hell were you?” she whisper-shouted.

“Working”, Eric mumbled and waited to hang the towel in the laundry room.

Monica looked at him in confusion. He wasn’t used to working this late before.

“I got a new job”, Eric added.

“What job?”

“Some chairman contracted me to be his son’s bodyguard”.

Monica scoffed, “are you serious now? So, are you going to come back this late every night? Don’t you have a son and a wife?”

Eric took a deep breath and pulled her to the kitchen, “yes, it is because I have a son and a wife that I’m doing this crazy job. I’m sorry Monica, but I can’t keep working three different jobs that pay like shit. At least this new one pays quite well. In no time, I’ll be able to pay off our debts”.

Monica shook her head, “you shouldn’t have borrowed that money in the first place”.

Eric looked at her in disbelief and scoffed. Then he sighed and left the kitchen, “it’s not time for this conversation. Let’s go to sleep”.

The next morning, Henry texted him that he’d drop by and pick him up and drive him to the university as Harry was heading that way anyway.

Eric woke Leo up and helped him wash his face, brush his teeth, and get dressed. He didn’t speak to Monica who was making breakfast while holding papers in one hand. She’s had exams lately, and she took every opportunity to review her lessons.

“Come on big boy, let’s have breakfast”, Eric prepared his backpack and Monica put a bowl of cereal in front of Leo.

Eric’s phone vibrated and he hurried to put on his jacket and grab his keys. He kissed Leo’s cheeks, “I’ll se you tonight, big boy”.

“See you tonight, papa”, Leo said, his eyes daring not to leave the television.

Eric looked at Monica and gave her a small smile before heading outside.

Henry’s car was outside, and he got in the passenger seat, “good morning”.

“Good morning”, Henry smiled and started the car, “did you sleep well?”

“Kind of”, Eric mumbled and looked through the mirror to see Harry, who rested his head on the window. “I thought you didn’t go to class?” he asked.

Harry shrugged, “I felt like it today”.

Eric hummed, and his phone vibrated. Monica was calling, and he hesitated before answering. He feared it would be urgent.

“Hey, what’s wrong?” he asked, and Monica asked if he could pick Leo up from school later as she was planning to study at the library later.

“Yeah, sure”, he pressed his lips, “I’ll see you tonight”.

After he hung up, Harry straightened his back on the seat and took a sip of water as he looked as he looked at him through the side mirror, “your girlfriend?” he smirked.

Eric stayed silent for a while before he mumbled, “my wife”.

Harry nearly choked on his water and Henry widened his eyes.

“Your what?” Harry exclaimed.

“My wife”, Eric calmly repeated.

“You’re married?” Henry looked at him with surprise, “How unexpected!”

“Unexpected indeed”, Harry lifted a brow and frowned as he looked through the window.

“Why?” Eric looked at him with confusion, “should I have said it earlier? Do you not hire married men?”

“That’s the least of my worries”, Harry rolled his eyes, “but aren’t you too young to get married? I mean, you’re still a student”.

Eric chose not to answer and only shrugged.

“Seriously”, Harry shook his head, “married you said. You might as well have kids”.

Eric pressed his lips, hiding his smile. Henry looked at him with his side eye, and then he shared a look with Harry, who soon widened his eyes and put his hand on Eric’s shoulder to get his attention, “you………..you have a kid?”

Eric nodded and Harry gasped, “dude!” he yelled and rested his back against his seat, “shit!”.

QuinnQuinn saw the color drain from Cade’s face, leaving it ashen. He tensed, ready to catch Cade if he fainted.“You’re firing me as your client?” Cade demanded.“Yes.”“You can’t do that.”Quinn crossed his arms over his chest. “I think you’ll find I can. CDR contracts give me the right to walk away from non-cooperative clients.”“Quinn—”He shook his head. “No. I take my job seriously, Mr. Connolly. And I expect my clients to do the same. You obviously can’t do that. You need to find someone else. CDR will be in touch. I’ll collect my things and Mogs.”It hurt Quinn to call him Mr. Connolly. He saw how Cade blossomed being called ‘Boy,’ but Cade flinched at the formal address.“You can’t.” Cade’s voice was barely above a whisper.“Can’t what?”“Can’t leave me. Can’t take Mogs. You’re my bodyguard.”Quinn ignored the comment about the cat. Much as he felt sorry for Cade, he wouldn’t give up his Mogs to anyone.“I’ve explained my reasons for leaving. I’m sure you’ll find someone els

Quinn“What the hell do you think you’re doing?” he said out loud to the empty house. Then he sprinted around to the garage, not surprised to see Doug waiting for him.“Padraig has him in sight. He’s changed destination. Head for the Japanese Garden,” Doug said, handing him an earpiece.“Padraig?”“I’m here.” The soft Irish-American accent was barely audible above the engine and road noise.“The tracker is working well,” Doug said.Quinn and the CDR team weren’t born yesterday. They knew Cade was likely to bolt at some point. The tracker had been installed on the bike before it was returned to Cade.“Okay. I’m gone,” Quinn said, as he gunned the engine. His Hog was built more for reliability than speed, but she’d get him there. The gates opened as he approached, and one of Doug’s team waved at him while he concentrated on a phone call. • How Do I Seduce My Married Bodyguard?   Chapter 26

QuinnQuinn took a grim satisfaction in walking away from Cade. It was that or spank him. At some point Cade was going to have to realize that, when it came to his personal protection, Quinn was top dog, alpha boss etc. Of course, Quinn insisted on being alpha boss in any situation, which was why he generally worked with small teams, and on his own where he could. He was lucky that most of the time CDR gave him his head.He retreated to the den to catch up on conversations with the team who would be handling security at the live event. Big gigs were always a nightmare, with so much potential to go wrong.“You know I’m managing the bike event, don’t you?” Griff Larson groused as Quinn ran through his list of questions… okay, orders.“Yes.”“You could sound more convincing.”“My client is challenging.”“I’d heard,” Griff said dryly. Griff understood this was code for Cade would be a pain in the ass if he got the opportunity.“If he can find a way to buck the system, he will.”“It’s all

CadeCade listened to Quinn go down the stairs and smirked into the sheet.Sucker! He grabbed Quinn’s pillow to hug, and closed his eyes with a happy sigh. He had no intention of getting out of bed. Adult here. Cade didn’t need to be tied to Quinn’s schedule. He’d go back to sleep and wake up at a normal hour like four.He heard Quinn in the kitchen and his stomach rumbled loudly.“You can shut up too.”Another loud rumble.Cade flopped onto his back. Maybe the universe was telling him he needed to get off his butt and go find coffee. That was all he needed.Coffee, and then he’d come back to bed. Cade pushed back the covers and looked down at himself. He was naked. He hadn’t even realized he’d gone to bed without wearing pajama bottoms or sleep shorts. Quinn had dried him and put him to bed as if he were a small child. Cade felt his cheeks heat. He’d felt wanted and cared for and protected. Would it be too much to ask for that? His belly growled again.“Okay, okay, I get the picture.
