Chapter 14 Birthday part II

Surprise, let it be. The curtains in the carriage were down, she could see nothing again.

“Can I look through the window?”

“Yes, if you want.” The pleased look was stuck to his face.

Arya lifted the curtains, she could watch the residential area, they were somewhere on the east side of the city. She has never been there. It was the rich part. Right now they are moving to the center of the city. Arya could see some passers by. The weather was sunny and it was warm, children were playing in the garden, a young woman was walking with a small dog, and a boy was selling newspapers. Ordinary life she hasn’t seen for a while. The carriage stopped in front of a cafe.

“Come here Arya.” Mr Reyes helped her out of the carriage. They walked into a cafe. In the corner next to a window there was a small table for two and Mr Reyes headed that way. It was a nice breakfast, Arya kept looking around.

“What’s so interesting?” her companion finally asked.
