Oscar.

My uncle stared at me in disbelief at what I had just told him. I didn't want anyone to know in the first place, and I didn't want Karen to know either because I knew we couldn't be together.

It had happened the very day she boldly called out to me for help on the street. I wasn't happy when I found her. I knew she would be the Genesis of my troubles. I was still having fun with Tabitha and Riley. I didn't want a fated mate, but there she was, my fated mate.

The worse part was that she was human. Why would the moon goddess choose to curse me like this? I couldn't turn away from her. She had been given to me by the goddess. I knew I had to help her, and that was why I offered her a job.

Humans never felt the mate bond, so there was a possibility she felt nothing for me. I didn't want to reject her, but I didn't want to accept her either. When she resumed work, the pull towards her became strong, and I just had to kiss her that night.

I had fired her not because she got drunk and puked everywhere but because she had a terrible hold on me. I had begged Valery to help me lay her off because I knew I wouldn't be able to do it. Fate had worked against me, and she had walked in on Tabitha and me. Her stubbornness made getting rid of her impossible. It was only normal that the moon goddess would give me a bold and stubborn mate. It was sad that she was human, and I didn't want to get tied down by the mate bond. Especially not to a human.

I tried to get her uncomfortable and have her quit when I did what I did with Tabitha in the office, but Karen was immune to everything. Her immunity to ill-treatment made me figure that she must have had a shitty life growing up. By the time Tabitha left, I found myself wanting her. I intended to take her that night and use her some more, then lay her off, but when she told me she was a virgin, everything changed. It meant the moon goddess had kept her for me. I thought she was lying, but when I felt it with my fingers, I couldn't do it anymore. I was going to be her first, and I intended to make it special before leaving her.

When those wolves had come for her, I began to wonder what I had gotten myself mixed up in. I wasn't lying to the wolves when I told them she was my woman. I couldn't throw her to the wolves like that.

The goddess had given me a daunting task. She had fated me to a hunter and pitted me against the werewolves and the vampires in the process. How did she expect me to survive this unscathed? If I protected Karen, it meant I would be fighting enemies from both within and without.

"You have to reject her son," Was the first thing my uncle said.

"Don't worry about her feelings. Humans don't feel the mate bond. She probably doesn't even care about you." he explained.

"So I should reject her and hand her over?" I asked my uncle, looking at him funnily.

"No, son. Reject her and then bring her here. We will try our best to protect her. But in case we fail, it won't affect you. If you don't mind me asking again, who is she, and why are people after her?" My uncle asked, and I took a deep breath to reply. I knew there was no need to hide it anymore; I just had to tell him.

"Her name Is Karen Hunter, an orphan I hired. Last night, I found out she is the granddaughter of Giles Hunter and the daughter of John Hunter." I told my uncle, and he stood in shock.

"Are you sure about this?" He asked, and I nodded.

"You can't bring her here, Oscar; the wolves and vampires will come knocking. Why would the goddess curse you like this and bind you to a Hunter?" he asked, looking very worried and scared. I understood his reaction. Anyone that wanted what was best for the pack would react the same way.

"I don't know what else to do, uncle," I told him.

"Reject her and leave her to her fate. The Hunter's bloodline has to end so we can all have peace," he stated in a matter-of-fact tone. "You can't endanger your pack by bringing her here, and you cannot endanger our kind by allowing her to survive. You can't endanger your life by trying to protect her. No Hunter descendant is worth it. I know asking you to kill your fated mate will be too much, but you have to leave her to her fate. You cannot be her guard wolf. This is too big of trouble to get yourself and our pack mixed up in. Walk away while you still can, Oscar. It will hurt for a while, but you will get over it. She would become a distant memory," he advised.

I knew he was telling the truth.

Karen was a danger to my kind. I was angry that the goddess would curse me like this. I returned to the house an unhappy man.

I found Karen sleeping when I entered her room. I remembered how she had peed on herself out of fear. I remembered how she was shaking and screaming. The girl was ordinary. She had no Hunter powers, and she was alone and scared. Why would life deal her such a terrible card? She was truly unlucky.

When I first met her, I could see that she had been unlucky most of her life. When I investigated her, I found she had nothing to her name. Wondering how she was surviving and how quickly she agreed to my terms was why I believed she might be loose. She had only been desperate. I realised she might never really have a break. I didn't intend to settle down with her, and though I wanted to protect her, I couldn't risk my life for her. She was truly alone and unlucky.

I decided I wouldn't leave her to her fate yet, but I wouldn't get my pack involved either. She was innocent and helpless in all of this. I would try to protect her the best way that I could and see where it goes from there. One thing I was sure of was that I wasn't going to settle down with her no matter how strong the pull towards her felt. I needed a wolf as my mate and not a human. Once I am ready to name a Luna, I will let her go.

OscarI woke up and found Karen still asleep. My mother entered the room without knocking and began to scream.Karen woke up to her screams, and I wondered."Oscar, you are back!' my mother kept saying, Karen was sluggish as usual and soon began to giggle."Sorry I didn't tell you last night, Martha, I wanted to be sure." Karen apologised to her, and she smiled and came to hug me."I missed you so much, son," she said, crying bitterly, " Is everything okay with you?' she asked me, and I nodded."You are blessed, Oscar. Karen never left your side for one second. She cared for you throughout and never complained. Even though the bond was broken," My mother said, and I looked at Karen, who was blushing."We were able to get the witch that Genevieve acquired the potion from. She bitch claimed she was pregnant, so we could not kill her. We later found out she wasn't carrying your child. Unfortunately, someone helped her es

KarenI hid the wounds on my back and my butt and continued to make love to Oscar at night. With every release, the mark's burns increased. His eyes were no longer yellow after two weeks of my treatment. The doctor had thought the sedation was working, and I let him believe so. His mother was hopeful. I knew if I told her what I was doing and she saw the markings on my body, she would stop me, but I felt our connection coming back, and there was nothing that would stop me from continuing my treatment. An extra week passed, and I finally decided that after that night, I will have to let my body heal before I continued. I had cuts and scratch marks all over my body. The pain was searing, and I began to cry after I had finished making love to Oscar and the bite burned terribly. I doubted if I would be able to hide the pain for long. I laid next to him, crying and praying all this wasn't for nothing."Karen!' I heard Oscar's voice, and for a minute

KarenOne whole month passed, and Oscar wasn't any better. I was healed fully by then. I took care of him. I bathe him, fed him, and made sure he was comfortable. The doctor had him sedated most of the time. Gavin and Ruth were constant visitors to the house. Martha had investigated what happened, and she had found out that Genevieve had used a potion on her skin to drive Oscar's wolf insane. Genevieve was publicly disgraced, and Martha had blamed her for his insanity. We had kept the real reason between us. The witch that sold the potion to her was traced and eliminated by Gavin. Genevieve claimed to be carrying Oscar's baby, so we could not kill her. We would have to wait until she gave birth and the baby was tested. Martha made sure she was uncomfortable and had the b*tch locked up in a cell on the settlement. My parents pleaded with me to join them, but I insisted on staying soon they stopped. I was no longer interested in whatever was happening in

Karen"Why Karen, what happened to my baby?' She asked, crying, and I did not know what to say, so I opted to tell her the truth."Ricky Pinewood told me Oscar sent for me, and I followed him to Oscar's office only to find Oscar in his wolf form with Genevieve..." Seeing the image in the eyes of my mind still broke my heart, and I did not have the strength to describe the scene to her."I got angry and came here to pack my things and leave. Oscar was pleading with me, but I had made up my mind, and this happened." I explained, and the woman began to cry."My baby, my poor baby." she wept, looking at her son."What can we do?" I asked her, and she shook her head."You shouldn't have threatened to leave him. You broke the bond when you made up your mind. That is why he is like this. You shouldn't have broken the bond." she said, crying. "if you were a wolf, you wouldn't have been able to break it. I tried to warn Oscar, but he

KarenI honestly could not believe Oscar could allow these people to do this to us. I was still recovering from my surgery. This was unfair. I know we hadn't made love in two weeks, but it was too small a time for him to lose control like this. The man had no self-control, and I dreaded continuing the relationship.Kelly was right. I could never be enough. This was the best time to the walkway. I didn't want to, but I knew walking away was the best option. Oscar went on his knees and begged me desperately. He started to cry like a baby, and I could feel his fear, but this was just too much."let's go to the city together. You can sleep in the old room. I promise to make myself scarce. Please don't leave me. Allow me to prove to you that Genevieve had used something to force my wolf." he said, sounding like a mad man."You are alpha, Oscar. You can command her to say whatever." I pointed out, and he shook his head."Okay, okay, you do the investigation," he said, grove

OscarMy wolf was overpowering me, and I did not know what to do."leave my office, I managed, but there was no authority in my words. My wolf won't let me. Whatever she did had driven him crazy, and he was ready to do whatever it took to relieve himself. Genevieve was in control. It felt like witchcraft."I think your wolf is in disagreement with that." She said, unbuttoning her blouse so that I could get a clear view of her br**sts. Her n**ples were hard as hell, and she began to rub them with her fingers.I tried to get up, but my wolf kept my ass planted on the seat. I was losing the battle. I swore that if she succeeded, I would kill her for this. She spread her legs open, and I saw she had no panties on. She began to pleasure herself. She called on my wolf to ease her needs, and he responded. I was hard, and I shifted on the chair. My wolf had taken over completely. Genieve smiled at me and went on her knees to blow me.My wolf f*
