Chapter Fifty Two

Jesse waited for her to talk but she seemed to be in shock and wondered what he'd said to make her freeze like that.

"Miss?". He called.

Bella started and shut her mouth then turned towards the door as it opened and Jesse's mother and sister walked in.

"Oh my God! He's awake." Martina cried rushing forward to his bedside. "Jessica, please get the doctor."

"Yes Mom." She said and walked out.

"Oh my baby." Martina cooed and hugged him tight. "Thank you for waking up. Thank you."

"You're suffocating me mom." He said.

"I'm just so happy that you are awake." She sniffled.

"Not the tears, you know I can't handle it." He said.

Martina chuckled then looked at Bella who was silently watching their exchange with an indecipherable expression on her face like she couldn't understand what was going on.
