Chapter Ten: How to Identify the Enemy

Once the detectives left, Daniel got ready to go looking for Brooke. He had no idea where or how to begin, but his instincts told him to dress lightly in case he got into trouble, and that, in keeping with vampire characteristics, they would be out late at night looking for blood. But where could he find them? He couldn't look for them or wait for them in a dark alley or anything like that, which would be wasting time. The best way to look for them in places where the largest number of people gather, that is, in clubs, bars and discos. Would they be so obvious? He would find out, so he had already made up his mind to start there.

He left at the stroke of midnight. He decided to search first for the places close to where he lived, that is, in lower Manhattan, and he left on foot. He had put on a hooded jacket and a few blocks from him covered his head.
