Laya POV
Suddenly I’m met with a burning torch against the wall, in front of it lies an impenetrable wooden door and I find myself gasping as a shiver runs down my spine.
The moment I take a step toward the door I slowly lift my hands and place them against the rough edges, which have clearly been put in place to barricade anyone from entering.
I feel my breath being taken away by something beyond this door, as my breath quickens I close my eyes and rest my forehead against the cold metal barricade.
Before I can even process my next move I suddenly notice a presence from behind me, lurking in the shadows like the murky iniquity he represents.
“Dax,” I mumble as my eyes finally open, the scent of his repulsive stench gnawing at my very insides like the sorry excuse of a human being he had always been.

Groban POV I can't say for sure how long I've been kept down here in this place of torture, but I can say that time has completely meshed together for me as I drift in out of consciousness. What is the protocol with wolfsbane I wonder as I feel myself fade away again, I've become incredibly familiar with it in these times as I know exactly when I've been injected with it, besides the burning sensation that runs through my veins all the way to the core of my soul, the other thing that makes it stand out to me while I'm semi- unconscious is how it weakens me, how it weakens my wolf to such an extent that it's impossible for me to even open my eyes. The effects are like a serious drug to us shifters, one which would be completely harmless to humans but deadly to us if we happen to overdose on it.
