Black Looks Good on Him

Wait a minute… he is the guy who kissed Elora at the nightclub a week ago.

Elora tried to hide her face behind a plastic coffee cup, which is useless, and pushed herself further into the corner. Elora hopes to melt with the elevator wall or disappear suddenly from this small box.

As the man entered, their eyes met, and Elora remembered him immediately. A pair of fluorescent cobalt blue eyes. Elora thought he was wearing contact lenses that night, but that seems to be the true color of his eyes. Beautiful … and cold.

"Do I know you?" The man asked, his voice devoid of interest. Maybe he had been dealing with girls a lot, so he acted as if he had no interest in Elora. He should have realized that Elora had no interest in conversation either.

Elora didn't immediately answer the question, she looked down and raised her coffee glass to cover the exposed corner of her face.

"No," answered Elora, hesitantly.

Instead of moving away or turning his back on Elora, that man step closer. "I've seen you somewhere."

"Nope. Wrong person." Elora put one foot forward, stopping that tall, handsome, damn model. "Do not step closer."

Elora imagined the man frowning questioningly. "Why? I won't bite."

Yes, but you can suddenly kiss me. And I'm very scared of men.

Ting!

The sound of the elevator that had reached its destination distracted the two of them. The elevator doors opened, and several people were standing there. One of them is Javier.

“Good afternoon, Caspian! You came on time,” said the head of the production department, whose name Elora did not remember because she was still nervous about Caspian's presence.

"El, what are you doing?" It's Javier's voice. He frowned in surprise as he looked Elora up and down. Elora must have looked like an idiot, crouching in the corner as if she'd seen a ghost.

"Ah—sorry." Elora hurried out of the elevator, past Caspian. Caspian's scent immediately grabbed Elora's sense of smell. The thick, damp, and fresh smell of the forest. Provides a mysterious serenity.

It seemed like Elora stopped for a split second, stunned by the enchantment of Caspian's fragrance until she finally pulled herself together and started walking again. Elora couldn't think straight until Javier grabbed her arm as they passed.

"Where do you think you're going, young lady?"

"To my room."

“Studio three. Now,” hissed Javier, who then dragged Elora so mercilessly that she almost spilled coffee on her clothes.

Caspian and the others had already walked ahead down the black-walled windowless corridor. The white fluorescent lights give this hallway a futuristic contrast.

"Do you know him?" whispered Javier. They both walked a fairly safe distance from the other's hearing range.

"I'll tell you later," replied Elora, who was also in a whisper.

Javier squinted, looking pleased. Like they were doing a sneaky conspiracy. "Looks like a fun story."

“Shitty story,” Elora corrected quickly.

Without realizing it, Elora had kept her gaze fixed on Caspian's broad back, who was clad in a jet black t-shirt. Looks like he loves dark colors. Indeed, the gloomy colors match perfectly with his overall appearance.

Caspian was busy chatting with someone from the copywriter department, whose name had faltered again to appear in Elora's memory. How could Caspian give her severe amnesic effects in such a short time? There is no way Elora's fear and hatred for men would so easily disappear because of him, right?

Finally, they arrived at studio three which was at the end of the corridor. Shooting the ad will start from the sidewalk in front of the office building. The studio is only used as a place for preparation.

All parties involved immediately gathered to hear a short briefing from the project leader. To keep the direction smooth, Elora stepped aside quite a bit in the corner. She did not want her existence to disturb the concentration of the team. Elora was busy sipping coffee that was starting to lose warmth. The coffee in the cafeteria is not very good, but Elora doesn't have time to go outside.

"El!" called Javier, who then moved his hand, gesturing for Elora to come closer. Elora widened her eyes, she unconsciously took a glance at Caspian, who had seen her like everyone else there.

"Yes?" Elora answered the call with hesitant steps.

"I just want to make sure there are no changes to the concept we have agreed on," said the project leader.

"Nope. If there was, I will tell you before we executed the project, right?”

“Can you explain again in brief, the story of this ad? Just to make sure that we have the same vision."

Elora almost rolled her eyes. The project leader this time was very happy to check up to ten times on every detail of the advertising concept. It might sound good, fixing things up a few times. But not for now. It's a waste of time.

Elora took the time to gulp her coffee down before fulfilling the project leader's request. “The ad tells the story of a man who comes to the office wearing only his underwear. Because the underwear is very nice, comfortable, and makes him extraordinarily cool, so he wants to show the world what his underwear looks like."

“The underwear I'm wearing right now is cool too. You want me to show you?" chirped Caspian. Elora could catch a faint grin on the edge of Caspian's lips. Not a teasing grin, but more like a sneer.

Elora clenched her jaw. She could not find a clever answer to silence the insult. So Elora just said, "No thanks." Then Elora returned to the project leader. "How about it? Are our vision the same?"

The project leader nodded in agreement with a thumbs up.

"Okay. Now, Caspian please get ready. Others, carry out the tasks according to the distribution!" ordered the project leader.

Without having to be asked twice, everyone began to split up and carry out their respective duties. Elora walked towards the trash can near the entrance. She stepped on the pedal to open the lid of the trash can, then threw a plastic cup into it.

"That deep breath means something." Javier, which suddenly appeared, made Elora jump.

"What is it this time?" Elora looked at Javier exasperatedly.

"Now we don’t really have a thing to do. So you have time to tell me what happened between you and that Caspian."

"We kissed." Elora realized that her statement was wrong when she saw Javier's shocked face, so Elora immediately corrected it. "He suddenly came and kissed me." Elora also recounted the incident at the nightclub.

Javier's face turned gloomy. "Are you okay?"

Elora knows what Javier means. He talks about the trauma Elora is trying to heal.

"I was shaken ... but I'm fine now." Elora forced a smile, which only became a faint curl on her lips.

"If you need to see a psychiatrist again—"

"No, Javi. I'm fine. Really." It seemed like Javier couldn't believe it, so Elora added, “Yes, it's scary. But strangely, I didn't feel as scared as I thought. After he left that time, I was immediately fine."

Actually, she cried that time. But it didn't take long.

Elora was stunned by her own statement. How can she be all right? It seems impossible … but in fact it is.

Elora looked away to the center of the studio. Why are her eyes always trying to find Caspian now?
