Author's POV

"I thought you said you don't want this huh," he sneered, gripping her chin, forcing her to look at him. "But.... it seems you've been looking forward to this all day." His voice was cold, sending shivers through Elara. He left her chin, throwing her head to the side.

"Now. Strip," he commanded again. This time Elara couldn't refuse. Her hands gripped the edges of her dress and she pulled it over her head. Then, she slipped down the straps of her bra and took it off too.

Damian's eyes shifted between her breasts, stomach and body, which were bigger than he remembered. Elara had always had a slim body and a flat stomach, so why would she suddenly get bigger?

"It seems someone has been gaining a lot of weight," he said, his eyes still roaming her body.

"....huh!" Elara blinked, caught off guard.

"You've gained a lot of weight. One would think you're pregnant."

Elara's heart skipped a beat. He noticed how big she had gotten. No. He can't know about the baby. He doesn't dese

Elara's POV The heavy door of the prison slammed shut behind Damian, leaving a suffocating silence in its wake.Still slumped on the cold, prison floor, I felt my body heavy with exhaustion, my limbs weak with pain, and my asshole burning as if it wanted to rip apart and the worst of all was my dignity—shattered. I placed my hand over my mouth trying to stop the sobs that broke free from my throat but I couldn't.I wrapped my arms around myself, I picked up my dress which was lying beside my ripped panties. I draped the dress over my chest, trying in a futile effort to cover the shame burning into my skin.I hated him.I hated myself more—for moaning—so loudly. For responding to his forbidden touch. Every thrust, every flick of his tongue, every spanking of my ass—I fucking responded to it and even enjoyed.I was disgusted. I was filthy.I was so overwhelmed with shame that I didn't notice when the next door creaked open."Elara."The voice made me freeze. The head snapped up. Ethan s

Author's POV Luna Selena could barely wait until it was morning before she unleashed chaos at the palace gate.Luna Selena, once the beloved and elegant Luna of the Pack, now stood with disheveled hair, and thinner than she was before. But her eyes were blazing with fury and her presence was still as commanding as ever as she slammed her palm against the iron gates."I demand to speak to Alpha Damian," she shouted, her voice echoing through the morning sun. "Open these gates at once!"But the guards wouldn't let her come in even though they knew who she was. They exchanged nervous glances but held their ground. "You're not allowed to come inside, Luna Selena," one said, his voice shaky but he still tried to stand his ground."Former Luna," another corrected rudely. This made Luna Selena lose every control in her. Her face was contorted with rage. "How dare you speak to me in such a manner? So this is what I have been reduced to? A stranger in a pack that I once ruled and built?" Then

Author's POV"I'll fuck her everyday until I'm satisfied," he murmured to himself, leaning back on the sofa and stroking his cock lazily. His cock was already hard just by thinking of Elara and dripping with pre-cum. He couldn't wait until night before he took her again.A sharp knock on the door made him flinch. He quickly wrapped his robe properly around himself."Come in," he called out, his voice laced with a mix of irritation and anger. The guards came inside hurriedly, bowing. "Alpha! Alpha—Luna Selena is at the gates. She’s in the palace now. With the Elders.”Damian jolted up from his couch, panic flashing in his eyes. He hurriedly stormed out of his room, but when he realised he was in his night robe, he came back and changed into his regal outfit before storming out again. What? How could this happen? Luna Selena was supposed to be at the hospital, how was she here? Those questions ran through his mind as he walked the palace hallway. He knows Luna Selena's presence wasn't go

Ethan's POV Sleep had been a distant fantasy for me the night I heard Elara moaning to Damian's touch. As I kept thinking about everything that had happened my heart broke.Fuck! Her moans rang relentlessly in my head, persistent like a nemesis trying to catch up with me for a crime I had committed. Even in the darkness I could see her bare body, the way he thrusted into her brutally, the way he spanked her ass roughly and the way she reacted to it. Even though she was in pain. Even though she hated him.I could see every single thing. And it was painful to watch. Painful to see another man fucked the woman I love so wildly like she was some whore. And the worst of all was that my cock hardened at the disgusting sight. For a moment, I wished I was the one fucking her like that.Realization dawned on me that I was worse than Damian. Worse than the man who has broken her. I quickly reprimanded myself and my desire quickly morphed into anger, my chest rising and falling like it was goin

ETHAN'S POVBy the time I reached the palace infirmary, they had already moved her into an ambulance, transferring her into a more renowned hospital. I heard the healers whispering frantically about her condition being more critical than they could handle.I knew instantly that it was cancer. She was already weak and the brutal sex from last night must have made her collapse.Damian!!!If anything happens to Elara, I swear I will kill Damian. With that, I walked back towards my room to set my other plans in motion._______When night fell, I made my way to the underground wing where the assassin and the guards who falsely testified against Elara were being kept. I paid off the night wardens—they knew better than to ask questions when I walked in with my blade.Inside the cold room, they looked up, startled."You," I said coldly, locking the door behind me. "We're going to have a little conversation which will determine if you will survive tonight."I dragged a chair across the floor, t

  • I AM BETRAYED BY THE MOON   Chapter 53

Elara's POV Warmth. That was the first thing I felt. A strange, almost unreal warmth spread through my body, and also settled deep in my heart. Even if I hadn't opened my eyes to confirm my environment, I knew for sure this wasn't the cold prison floor that had become my home in the past few days. And an arm wrapped around me. Gentle, soft touch as if shielding me from the brutality in this world, in my world. My lashes fluttered as I struggled to open my eyes. The vision was blurry at first, but after several blinking of my eyes, I saw someone I have never imagined seeing, at least not like this. Not in this broken state I'm in.Mother. Her face hovered above mine, her once beautiful face now twisted in pain, her eyes were red and swollen from several hours of crying. She had been crying and she was still crying. Because the tears were still streaming down her face even as she cupped my cheeks like I was the most important thing in the world. Actually, I was the most important thi

ELARA'S POV"I'm sorry," she whispered. Again. And again. "I should have checked up on you sooner. I should have been here for you. I have failed you, Elara."“No,” I whispered, brushing her back gently. “You didn’t. I made this choice. You were only trying to survive too. You were trying to fix the mess I made for you and father. If it weren't for me, my father wouldn't have gotten into an accident.""Don't say that, Elara. It wasn't your fault that you fell in love."Of course, it was my fault. Loving Damian, making sure everyone around me accepted him and failing not to see his betrayal even when it was happening right in front of me. All of it was my fault and I will keep paying for it for the rest of my life.We cried in each other's arms, sniffing as pain consumed us. Her tears soaked the back of my hospital gown and I'm sure mine soaked hers too. Then the door creaked open. Although I had lost my sense of smell and my memories were starting to get disorganised too—the doctor sai

  • I AM BETRAYED BY THE MOON   Chapter 55

Damian's POV I was waiting. Two hours passed and I was still waiting. After three hours, there was still no word from Ethan. I paced my room restlessly, the guards staring at me and constantly shifting uncomfortably. Something was wrong. Everything was wrong. Ethan wasn't the type to leave for hours without taking permission. He was efficient and prompt in the six years he has worked for me. Alpha Cadman introduced him to me to be my assistant, and we've managed to get closer since then. I trusted him so much and he was the brother I never had. He was always hopeful and full of smiles everytime he carried out the several duties I handed over to him. And now, he was missing. The realization made my heart clenched with suspicion. Where could he have gone? Was he taken or not? If he was taken, who had him? And why? Or did he leave the palace because I failed to listen to him about Elara and even threatened to have him locked up? But Ethan wasn't the type to cower—he was very courageous

Elara's POV "Alright, my Alpha. I'm more than happy to serve you tonight." The words spilled out of my mouth like silk, sweet and submissive exactly what I knew he'd like to hear, what I wanted him to hear. Pathetic. I even offered him my most charming smile, the kind that I knew use to captivate him in the past. The one that used to make his eyes darken with lust. And just like I expected, they did work. And he was also surprised. He hadn't expected me to say such words but I did anyways and I didn't regret it one bit. Because every word I said… every breath I took in his presence now… was a blatant lie. Inside me? I was screaming in anger. But then my wolf as always was silent at the moment—I realised she was torn between us—obviously wouldn't mind sleeping with her mate, but she was still bothered that I didn't want to do it. I turned back toward the room, the fake smile washing off my face the moment my back was to him. The moment I knew he couldn't see me and a deep fr

  • I AM BETRAYED BY THE MOON   Chapter 109

Damian’s POV “Elara’s belongings,” I said coolly, my hands tucked behind my back as I addressed the two maids standing near her door alongside with me. “Pack them. Move everything that belonged to her into my chambers. She’ll be staying there from tonight onward.” The maids exchanged a quick glance of uncertainty before bowing and entering the room. I leaned against the wall outside, waiting. After she left earlier, I was suddenly interested and aroused more than I could control. I needed to act fast before she changes her mind, and it was to test her too. To make sure she really meant well. And also to keep an eye incase she tries to carry out her initial threat of 'I will drag you down from that throne.' I don't want her fooling me again like she did with Ethan. I hadn't find out what really happened between them but deep down inside it feels like Ethan betrayed me. He was fooling me while working for her. Because it was the only explanation that made sense after I saw her bre

  • I AM BETRAYED BY THE MOON   Chapter 108

Lyra's POV Elara..... That sly bitch. She had barely let me step outside before she slammed the door in my face like any more minutes I spent in her room hinted that I was ruining something.... something important, something she was obviously hiding. I stood in the hallway for a breath longer than I should have, my eyes narrowed, heart racing with suspicion. That satchet… that damn pills on her table. I knew exactly what it was. Prenatal vitamins. I was taking the same pills for my baby recently, although it was a different brand. But hell, I still recognised them if I see them anywhere. Could Elara really be pregnant? Or is it possible for someone who isn't pregnant to be taking a prenatal vitamins? I don't think so. The thought made my heart skipped a beat. I turned on my heels, walking down the corridor. If she was pregnant, then who was responsible for it? Was it Damian? Or maybe....... Ethan? My eye widened at my thoughts, but I quickly shook my head in disagreement. I

  • I AM BETRAYED BY THE MOON   Chapter 107

Elara's POV Once Clara left, I sat down at the edge of the bed and rubbing my temple and sighing in frustration. I had just remembered that I said I was going to move to Damian's room. This was crazy. I didn't even mean to say that. But the word had left my mouth before I could stop them in a desperate bind to make him believe me earlier. I should have never said that no matter what. Sharing a chamber with Damian again felt like inviting a wolf into my den, one I couldn’t quite keep from growling, or biting. And that kiss… the memory of it alone made my stomach twisted with discomfort. And now? I'd be sleeping in his bed tonight. And I don't need any soothsayer to tell me what was to come next. It was crystal clear that he'd try to sleep with me. He’d use it as a test, a way to claim control and even if it isn't that, I could see I still have an effect on him. And the thought of his hands on me for the whatever reasons, the thoughts of his cock inside me after I had sworn not

  • I AM BETRAYED BY THE MOON   Chapter 106

Elara’s POV The moment I stepped into my room and the door clicked shut behind me with a soft click, I leaned against it for a long moment, closing my eyes and I had a bit of relief. My chest was still rising and falling from the aftermath of that kiss. I clasped my hands together tightly, trying everything I could to steady my breathing. The disgusting taste of that kiss still lingered on my lips. It was everything warm, aggressive, unforgettable. And it was everything I hated because of the way it had unraveled me in ways it shouldn't. Damn him. For one week I had been preparing for this. And I thought I was fully prepared to take up this role that I had perfectly crafted. This role of being calm, calculated, in control. But it turned out to be harder than I had expected. The moment he pressed his lips on mine, something within me cracked. Something old. Something buried. Something dangerous. Fuck!!! Even my wolf wasn't left out. She had been restless, jumping inside me since

  • I AM BETRAYED BY THE MOON   Chapter 105

Author's POVElara’s eyes glittered with unshed tears. “No. I still feel betrayed. But I’m choosing peace. Choosing to put everything behind me and move on.” “Bullshit,” Damian snapped. “You don’t forgive that easily. I know you, Elara.”Her lips curved into a slow, mysterious smile. “Maybe you don’t know me as well as you think.”There it was. The glint in her eyes. The spark behind the calm. She was playing a deeper game, and they both knew it. The only problem was—he didn’t know the rules yet. He can never know. His own tenure have run out and this was her own time to be in charge. Her games, her rules. Damian exhaled heavily, running a hand through his hair. He had no choice not to believe her for now. He knew pushing further was useless. "I don’t know what game you’re playing, but if you hurt yourself or get caught in something dangerous—”“I’m not here to hurt myself, Damian,” she interrupted coolly. “I’m here to stand by your side. To support your reign. Isn’t that what a L

  • I AM BETRAYED BY THE MOON   Chapter 104

Author’s POVThe grand hall which was filled moments ago with shock, suspicion, and false smiles eventually emptied. But the echo of the elders’ reluctant chants of “Long live, Alpha Damian”, still lingered in the air, thick like a aftertaste of a sour poison.Damian didn’t speak. Although he could barely hold himself from snapping but at the end of the day he waited until the heavy doors slammed shut after he gave the guards a quiet order to exit the room, leaving only two people in the room.Him. And her.Elara sat back on her throne, her legs crossed in such a graceful manner that made her give a type of aura that was impossible to ignore. Damian noticed it but he quickly shoved it away.Who would care about some aura in such a situation? He was literally burning with rage inside. She noticed him as he tried to force himself to look away from her and a faint, taunting smirk tugged at the corners of her lips.Interesting. It was good to know that she still had some kind of effects

Author's POVA week later.Although everything had died down temporarily, the elders still had their suspicions. They were equally keeping an eye on Kael, their eyes like that of an eagle watching, waiting for him to flop. And also on Damian trying to figure out the real reason why he let Kael go.For one whole week, Elara was nowhere to be found. She hadn't been seen in the palace. Everyone had expected that she was still probably angry at the Alpha for everything and coupled with the fact that justice wasn't exactly served.Today, Alpha Damian sat at the grand hall with Elders Seraphina, Selena, and a few other trusted members of the high circle. They were discussing about the pack matters and how to restore peace.Kael stood by silently near the back, arms crossed with a guarded expression on his face. From the look on the Elders face anytime his eyes met with them, he knew he wasn't exactly wanted here but he equally doesn't care.A sharp knock on the double doors silenced the roo

Author's POVAfter Damian watched Elara storm away like a raging wildfire, the evidence of her fury was still trailing behind her like smoke that can't be put out. Damian turned away slowly and made his way towards his room, his steps heavier than the last and his thoughts a storm. When he got in, he shut the door behind him, resting on it. He exhaled slowly, but the weight of his encounter with Elara didn’t lift from his chest. He felt bad. No. He felt worse.Of course, he had expected her rage. Prepared for the venom in her voice. But it didn’t make the blow hit any less. If anything it felt like he was broken beyond repair. He had agreed with her, and assured her that he would fight for Ethan. But he didn't. And now the guilt was already eating him whole and alive. Haunting his soul. She’s right, his wolf whispered in his head. 'You betrayed her. You betrayed Ethan.''But I had no choice,' he fired back. Not really. It wasn't his choice. He had to do it to save his child and that
