"DRINK! DRINK! DRINK! DRINK!"

The small crowd of boisterous guests cheered—half of them gathered around the bar. A mix of their closest friends and a few more recent acquaintances, all with drinks in hand and wide grins on their faces, rooting for Camila as she gulped down the last of her cocktail in one swift motion.

Antonio was in the midst of the group, arms crossed, eyes fixed on Camila as she laughed like she wasn't the same angry, snappy woman from one hour ago—heck, months since he had met her.

He had never seen her so... carefree before.

Was this the real Camila, the one that had somehow lost her way along the journey?

He watched as she threw her head back, her blonde hair cascading down her shoulders, the sound of her laughter mingling with the cheers of their friends.

It was a melody he hadn't realized she had inside.

Camila, her cheeks flushed pink, raised her empty glass. Tipsy but with a playful glint, she declared, "Another round, boys!"

"Come on!" the bu

Four months. Just four months, and Camila's life had totally flipped. In a good way.Camila took a shaky breath. The car smelled like a flower shop had thrown up inside, all white roses and nervous pre-wedding sweat. Yesterday, they'd done the court thing already. Today was the big church wedding deal. Court papers were already enough, but Antonio insisted on making it big.And the dress? A huge white ball gown, 'cause he wanted her to have the "honor" of walking down the aisle. The baby bump was already practically showing, even at four months. Her "wild card" was definitely not subtle.Moving in with Antonio had been a battle he'd won, mostly. He'd sweet-talked her with promises of taking care of her, telling her to just chill and skip work. But nah, she'd dug her heels in and kept going to the office. They'd finally agreed she'd take maternity leave around four or five months. Given how fast this belly was growing, that was coming up quick. Or had even arrived, probably. After the

Camila nodded slowly, like she was trying to get through to a kid."Yeah, Daddy Antonio, we're gonna be parents. And honestly, it scares the hell out of me." She pulled back a bit to look him in the eyes, surprisingly calm now. "I know, I'm twenty-eight, kinda past the 'ideal' age for a first baby some people say, but this? I wasn't ready, totally like you said. Neither of us were."She paused, then a brighter, almost giddy spark lit up her eyes. "At the same time... There's this weird tingle, like I'm stoked."Antonio's hands were still on her shoulders, his thumbs barely stroking her top. Her words, especially that last bit, seemed to click something into place for him."Stoked?" he mumbled, trying the word out. He looked from her eyes to the small space between them, really trying to picture what "parents" meant. This wasn't just some vague idea anymore. This was them. This was freaking real. It's happening so fast."Yeah, stoked," Camila confirmed, her voice getting stronger, all

The villa was… big. And quiet. Too quiet, sometimes, especially after the constant hum of Ernesto’s house or the controlled chaos of his own old place he practically grew up in.Three weeks. It had been three weeks since he’d practically cut ties with Ernesto. Three weeks since he’d slammed the door in his face. Deleted his contact, everything. Call it dramatic or even foolish, too much, but he called it necessary. He'd needed the space to clear his head, to feel something other than the suffocating weight of Ernesto's presence. At least let it go back to the days when Ernesto was rotting in prison. His absence had been a blessing then.Alberto was loving it, surprisingly. The sprawling garden was a wonderland, and the pool was a constant source of splashy delight. Abuelo, after an initial period of dramatic pronouncements about being a refugee, had found a comfortable armchair and a stack of old novels, content to be waited on by the staff Antonio had hastily brought in.Antonio, on

Ernesto leaned back in his chair, went silent for about a minute, sighing, his eyes focused on some point beyond the room, twisting his lips as if fighting to keep his cool. His fingers drummed on the dining table. And Antonio, on the other hand, was very patient. Finally, Ernesto looked his way. "So you don't mind me introducing her to the family?"Antonio grimaced. "No, I was being sarcastic.""Oh." Ernesto mouthed. "Makes sense.""Ernesto!" Antonio snapped, but Ernesto spat back, his voice rising, his fist connecting with the table."What do you want from me, Antonio? To apologize? I got you another step-sibling. Sorry, you're not getting that from me. And how the hell did you find out about Diane?""Can someone please make me understand? Who's Diane? I've heard 'family' like twice now... because last I checked, my family tree had a few less branches and a lot less baggage." Abuelo cut in, his gaze still darting between the two. Waiting, but it seemed neither of them was in a hur

Camila's protests died on her lips as Antonio's hands found their mark, his fingers expertly finding the places that made her shiver and made her forget all about alarms and meetings. Her "no, no, no" dissolved into a breathless moan as he leaned in against her neck. The fight simply evaporated. It was always like this with Antonio – his mischief, his touch, the way he just knew what would make her melt. One minute she was all professional resolve; the next, she was a happy tangle of limbs again, just like earlier, lost in the rhythm of his body against hers, the scent of him, the intoxicating heat."One more round" had turned into several. The alarm clock was silent now, probably having screamed itself hoarse and given up. Camila lay tangled in the sheets, Antonio's arm heavy around her waist, his head still nestled comfortably against her breast. A soft, satisfied sigh escaped her. She stretched a bit, feeling the ache in her muscles. She glanced at the clock on his bedside table: 7

Camila was a happy tangle of limbs with Antonio in bed, lost in that post-sex haze. His soft breathing filled the quiet space, his head resting right in her cleavage, his cheek against her skin. He always did this after each round, using her breast as a pillow. It was weird but cute. Now, staring at his sleepy face, she couldn't ignore how adorable he looked sleeping like a baby with no care in the world. She brushed his hair back, real slow at first, but then just ended up stroking his head. How could someone be so greedy? Like, totally lost in the moment, completely forgetting about the mountain of reports, calls, and work waiting sharp at 8 AM? She wiggled a bit, snuggling closer, feeling his hip tucked against hers. It's not like she didn't have fun. Every touch, every kiss, every breathless second was awesome. But as the early morning hours just kept slipping away, her brain, always the practical one, started adding up the cost. Not money-wise, but in lost sleep and the total scr
