Andrew

Dark Desert Pack

The council room was tense. No one said it out loud but I knew everyone felt the desperation in the air. Well, nothing was new. Council meeting had been like this ever since that fateful night 5 years ago.

Reports piled in one after the other and we’ve spent the whole morning dealing with those one by one. And yet, there was no time to complain. Things had been extra difficult since Alpha Chris banned us from his circle and we needed an extra push if we wanted to stay afloat.

And survive.

“They think they have us in our throats.” Elder Ashley scoffed. We were currently discussing the tension on the southern border. “Well, everybody thinks they have us under their feet. Nothing new.”

“Look around, Elder Ashley. We’re still standing on our feet. They just assumed because the whole continent hates us. But we never lose our fangs. Keep that in mind.”

“What should I do then, Alpha?” She asked with some glimmer of hope in her eyes.

“Show them our fangs. Who care

EmmaMemories came rushing in as I walked through the airport lobby. The smell of coffee….the sound of rolling suitcases from the luggage….and the announcements echoing inside the airport all felt the same. The scene that welcomed me was similar to the scene I left five years ago when everything in my life fell apart.I removed my dark-tinted glasses I wore when I reached the end of the lobby.“Windcore Region… It’s been a long time.”I took a deep breath. Then proceeded to scan the place. The night wind brushing my skin felt familiar as well. A sense of belonging filled my heart. Truly, I was home. I wasn’t gonna lie, I was happy to be back. But hiding behind this happiness was the fire burning in my heart. I came back not to reminisce but to seek justice for my sufferings and I would make sure to keep on reminding myself about that. Suddenly, a black car with an eagle logo in front stopped in front of me. A woman stepped out and looked around. When our eyes met, a light smile was

AndrewI was amazed the moment I entered the ballroom. The lights from above gave the room a warm glow. The marble floors were shiny and the tall walls were covered with detailed designs that showed class and wealth. Sycamore Enterprise truly lived up to its name. The tables stood around the edges of the hall and were covered in white cloth. Crystal glasses were at each center, sparkling like ice. Werewolves danced slowly in circles at the center of the hall.I smirked. Truly, this was a party for the elites. I felt proud that I was one of them.My black suit fit me well. The fabric hugged my shoulders and chest and added to my confidence.Everyone wore a mask. Some were grand and heavy with gems. Mine was very plain just the way I like it. I wore a black half-mask that let my jaw and eyes stay visible.I didn’t try to hide my face from everyone. There was no reason to. I wanted everyone to see me. I wanted them to take a look at the Alpha who was banished but still found a way to sur

Five years later...EmmaThe clouds were delicately beautiful today. My eyes were glued on them as they moved steadily across the blue sky. I smiled. "If only you can see how beautiful the sky is…I bet you will like it too," I whispered to myself as I stared through the glass window inside my office. Then a soft knock echoed around.“Come in!” I shouted. My assistant greeted me with a faint smile.“Perhaps good news?” I asked her, assuming something good.A huge grin was plastered on my assistant’s face. She approached, handling the report she had been holding the entire time.I smiled even before I opened it. I read through the pages. The latest trial about the drug we were doing studies on turned out to be a success.“Congratulations,” she said, quickly followed by a big hug.“It was a team effort. Congratulate everyone for me.”“Well, how about you say it personally to them? Let’s eat out tonight to celebrate this success with everyone,” my assistant suggested. I just smiled and s

Andrew The screen went black. The lights came back on. All eyes turned to me as we all processed what we had just witnessed. And my initial response? Nothing. I was rooted to my spot, shocked. My body refused to listen even if I wanted it to move . Then, murmurs filled the hall. “Is that true?” “That poor girl…” “He forced her to abort her child?” “That’s so wrong!” “How could he? That’s his Luna.” I wanted to speak and defend myself. I wanted to tell them that the child she was carrying was not mine and had nothing to do with why her baby was gone. Yes, I hated that bastard, but I wasn’t that evil to kill it. That child was innocent. But so was I. Why is it, suddenly, everything was my fault? I looked around the room and searched for anyone who might defend me. But there was none. They were all judging me with their looks. They were staring at me like I was the most evil alpha in the land. Even if I found the courage to speak and defend myself no one would believe me for

AndrewAll eyes were on me.And I had no idea why.Alpha Chris was holding up a USB. I was so confused. Emma said it contained an artifact owned by a great wolf from the past. What’s with the USB for? Alpha Chris chuckled and tried to ease the tension. “Maybe the gift comes with a presentation,” he said lightheartedly. The crowd murmured in agreement. People smiled. But my instinct told me something was wrong. I was so nervous. I never did but this moment was an exception.“I think there has been a mistake,” I said quickly. “That file… well… it wasn’t the gift I intended to give you.”Alpha Chris turned to me with a glare that could peel flesh from bone. “What do you mean?”“Well…I…uhm…” I stuttered. I tried to think of an excuse but my throat was not forming any words. “Is this some kind of a joke?” he asked coldly. “Are you trying to make fun of me inside my own pack and at my birthday?”“O-Of course not, Alpha,” I stammered. “I wouldn’t dare.”He looked at me with an acknowledge
