Daniel's POV
"Alpha" My men's voices could be heard from the back. But my dark gaze remained fixed on the girl in my arms. She clutched my black shirt as if her life depended on me. My eyes moved to the ripped part of her dress near her chest. From the torn dress, her cleavage was exposed. She was wearing a lavender colored bra inside. Her soft bosoms were half exposed to my eyes. I blocked my men from approaching, as I did not want them to see her like that. "Leave." My deep voice shook the men standing behind me. They exchanged glances before nodding and leaving the factory. I realized that the girl fell unconscious in my arms. I drew her closer, hiding her head against my neck. I closed my eyes when her scent came across my nose. It was a flowery scent, more like fresh roses. I clenched my jaw and looked away from her. She called her husband's name when she fainted. But she was wrong. I was not her husband, but someone who could rip off her husband's head and kill him in a moment. “Foolish girl, do you think your husband is a capable man?” I muttered with a sneer. I walked out of the factory, carrying her in my arms. A luxurious black car awaited me outside the factory. It belonged to me. My driver noticed me from the inside and immediately came out to assist me in opening the back door. I settled her gently in the backseat, a silent cocoon, before sliding in beside her. "Start the car," I ordered the driver. The driver drove the car at high speed, knowing exactly where his Alpha wanted to go. “Who is she, Alpha?” The driver asked, glancing at the rearview mirror. I lowered my head, observing the girl's face. I did not reply to my driver, but I knew who she was. ‘My rival's wife.’ Her cheeks were red, and her lips were tainted pink. Her slim body leaned against me. I moved my hand and wrapped it around her waist. She indeed had a good body. Her beautiful face was alluring. Her fainted state was seductive. I could not help but stare at her. . . . Third POV Violet was not completely unconscious. Her eyes were closed, but she could feel her head resting on a hard chest. The rhythm of his heartbeat was steady and an unfamiliar drum against her ear. She was lost in a haze of wine and his scent, a delicate blend of clean and woodsy. It was completely new to her, a mystery in the intoxicating fog of her mind. She tried to move, but her entire body was numb. Perhaps it was all because of the wolfsbane. Her heart rate increased as her mind became disoriented. She felt his strong arm wrapped around her waist, sending an unexpected sensation. But she could not open her eyes and look at the man. His features were sharply defined, almost chiseled. His strong, straight nose and high cheekbones gave his face an angular intensity. If she brushed her finger against his sharp jawline, it might cut her skin. Her body began to heat up, and she wanted to be closer to him. When he sensed her movement, his brow furrowed. He tilted his head to look at her and asked, "So, you are awake?" His deep voice shook her body, and his warm breath caressed her face. Her lips quivered as she spoke with her eyes closed. "L-Leo-" He pressed his finger to her lips and whispered, "I am not your husband Leo." She was shocked to hear that. But the effects of the alcohol and wolfsbane completely took over her. This time, she really passed out. - When she awoke, it was early morning. She frowned when she looked around. She found herself in the bedroom she shared with Leo. She was shocked. "Was I dreaming again?" She questioned herself, shaking her head in disbelief. However, her gaze was drawn to the red marks on her wrists. She shifted the blanket away from her body and noticed her dress had changed. She checked her ankles and found red marks there as well. "How did I end up here? Last night..." She tried to remember everything. But her head was aching like crazy. She only remembered Leo's red eyes. But what about the voice and the words the man had said? At that time, the door of the room opened. She noticed the pack doctor, Limon, entered the room. "Doctor Limon?" Limon approached the bed, looking surprised. "Oh, I am glad you have woken up!" "H-How did I get here? I was not here...." she murmured in the last sentence. Limon sat on the edge of the bed. He was Leo's close friend, and he always treated her nicely. "Leo brought you home last night." As soon as Violet heard him, her eyes lit up, a big smile spread on her lips, and she felt relieved. She assumed she was under the influence of wolfbane and alcohol so she mistook Leo for someone else. That was again an illusion, and Leo was the one who saved her. "Yes, you are right. I knew it was him. How can I not recognize my Leo? That pair of eyes belonged to his wolf. Who would have risked his life to save me from the kidnappers? It was only him!" Limon was taken aback by how she looked happy. He nodded his head. "Calm down. If not him, who else could save you? You owe him." She took a deep breath and gave him a nod. "Yes, you are correct. Where is he?" "In the study room. He could not get any sleep last night. You can go and talk to him." She got out of bed and dashed out of the room, smiling as she made her way to the study room. "Slowly... You are still weak..." she could hear Doctor Limon's voice from behind. She ignored his words and rushed into the study room, only to find Leo sitting in the chair behind his desk. She closed the door and walked over to him. His eyes were closed, and his head was leaning back against the chair. She came to a stop near his chair and sat down on her knees. She rested her hand on his thigh and said, "Thank you for saving me again, Leo. Those kidnappers... if you hadn't come, they..." She could not finish her sentence because tears streamed from her eyes. She sobbed and uttered, "When you told them to keep me, I was so scared and upset. I had no idea you were going to save me that way." Leo opened his eyes and gazed at her. He saw her crying. A frown appeared between his brows, but when she raised her head to face him, it faded. He lifted his hand and placed it on her head. "You are absolutely right. I rescued you from the kidnappers. Once again, I saved your life. What can you do in return?" She was taken aback by the unexpected question. But she quickly wiped her tears away and responded, "I will always keep you in my heart. I will never give this place to anyone else. I-I love you, Leo." She blushed as she confessed to him. Hearing her, he removed his hand from her head. She was startled. But his next statement surprised her. "On our anniversary night, I will give you what you have wanted for so long. I will mark you as my mate."Violet entered the forest. She walked into the woods, feeling refreshed. Almost immediately, a fresh wind blew, touching her face. She took off her heels. Her bare legs touched the cold grasses, sending her shivers.A smile appeared on her lips. She took a deep breath. But as soon as she closed her eyes, the wolf she had met years ago came to her mind. She immediately opened her eyes, swallowing her breath. She pushed all the thoughts and started walking. She came to a halt in front of the trees. She looked down and saw the trees downwards. It was so deep that if someone fell from here, they might be hurt very badly."What do you think you are going to do?" She heard a voice from behind. She shut her eyes, feeling annoyed. She turned around and folded her arms against her chest. Her eyes locked with Daniel's eyes. "Why don't you just go away?"Daniel approached her. "Do you think after what happened last time, you are safe in my pack?"She gave him a cold look. "So? Did you come behin
Violet did not want to hail any cab right now. She wanted to walk for a while. She recalled what Bella had told her about Daniel. 'To every mother their son was right and different,' she said to herself. She had no idea how long she had come. She paused in the middle of the road. She glanced at her left and right. It looked like the road in her pack. She recalled how she had met Leo for the first time. She was roaming like this in the middle of the road that day. The road was beside the forest. She remembered how she met Leo's wolf six years ago.'Leo's wolf?' She was puzzled when she realized she had almost forgotten that it was not Leo's wolf.'Then who was that wolf? He didn't come for help. I was foolish to think that he was Leo.'However, something struck her mind. Her brows shot up."How did Leo know about the encounter in the forest? He used to tell me that we met in the forest that night. Why did Leo lie to me?"Her mind was messed up. She was standing in the middle of the roa
"Daniel cares about me a lot. I don't know who will take care of him when I won't be here," Bella said to Violet while looking at her son. Violet cast a glance at Daniel, who was talking on his phone near the window. He got a call a minute ago; from then on, he left the table and became busy on the phone. Bella's voice shook slightly. Her beautiful eyes were filled with moisture. Violet could see the pain in them. "Don't worry, Aunt. You will be fine," she said. Bella gave her a sad smile and stuffed a spoonful of food into her mouth. While chewing, she said, "He is not like others. He is different." She swallowed her food and then uttered in a low tone. “He never expresses his pain or struggles to anyone. But only I, as his mother, knew how he lived his life. Even though I married Alpha Luka and gave him a surname, the pack members never accepted him. Daniel never accepted the family either.” Violet kept eating as she listened to Bella. "What about your other son? Do you
Violet asked about Bella in the reception area. It was a new restaurant, unlike the one she had previously visited. It was a very peaceful and relaxing environment. A waiter led her to the private cabin that Bella Collins had reserved for her. When she walked in, she discovered Bella reading something on her phone. "I am so sorry, Mrs. Collins," Violet said politely. Bella lifted her head to look at her. Almost immediately, a smile spread on her lips. She got up from her chair and said, "It is fine, dear. I just arrived a minute ago." "That's a relief," Violet uttered. She approached the table in the cabin. Bella took hold of her hand. Violet glanced at her hand, then gazed at her. "Please take a seat," Bella said. She was still the same polite, beautiful, and woman of manners. Violet admired Bella while recalling her mother-in-law, Clara's words. 'Daniel is not a son from the Easton family. Maybe Mrs. Collins lied to me about him. But she is in a dangerous phase of
Her icy eyes trembled. He saw the change in her expression. He chuckled, which sounded mocking to her. "You are so eager, darling." She turned her gaze to the window. Her eyes became empty. 'Love?' she thought. She was very eager for love five years ago. She desperately wanted to lean her head against her husband's chest and tell him what was on her mind. But she could not do it. Her one year of marriage passed like her whole life. She wanted to be happy with Leo. She wanted him to tell her how much he loved her. But she could never be the ideal wife for him. She was weak and fragile, a stupid girl who did not understand how the world worked. The eagerness to find love remained incomplete in her heart. "Why do you want to meet my mother?" She heard Daniel's voice. Surprisingly, it was cold. She was taken aback by how quickly he had changed tone. "What happened to Mrs. Collins?" she inquired, without turning to face him. The car went completely silent. Outside th
Violet frowned at him. "Why would I go with you? I can rent a car from here." Daniel did not stop as he made his way to the main door. Nick followed him behind. Violet clenched her teeth. 'I am not going with him.' She walked to the door while booking a cab on her phone. She stepped out of the house and saw that Daniel and Nick standing outside a black car. "You don't need to go with me. Go back," Daniel said to Nick. Nick was dumbfounded. 'I offended Alpha!' he realized. With a nervous tone, he said, "Alpha, you gave your driver a leave. I am here to drive." "No need. I can drive on my own," Daniel replied. Nick sighed and bowed his head. I should have kept my mouth shut. Why did I even try to praise Mrs. Easton? It was my fault,' he thought and bowed to Daniel before leaving. Violet ignored Daniel and walked right past his car. Daniel frowned and asked from behind, "Where do you think you are headed?" "A cab will arrive shortly to pick me up," she replied. "No
