Chapter 2

作者: Fish Cares
The photo album hit the floor, splaying open to a page that held a photo of the four of them.

All the color drained from Tristan’s face. Panic flickered in his eyes, then vanished as he composed himself.

He stooped to pick up the album, closed it, and set it aside as if nothing had happened.

“Bianca, let me explain. This isn’t what you think it is.”

“Not what, exactly?”

I trembled with anger as I pointed at the woman and children in the photo, my voice sharp.

“Who is she? And who are those two kids? Tristan, you’ve made a fool of me for five years. Do you still think you can deceive me?”

After a long silence, Tristan sighed and moved closer, reaching for my hand.

“Bianca, ours was a business arrangement with no feelings involved. You’re the only one I’ve ever loved.”

I jerked my hand away and stepped back, sick with disgust.

“No feelings were involved, but you somehow ended up with two three-year-olds?”

“I admit I was in the wrong,” he said, finally dropping the act when he realized I was not falling for it anymore. “But I’ll divorce her soon. Just give me a little more time. Once I’ve settled things over there, we can–”

“We can do what, exactly?” I cut him off with a self-deprecating laugh.

“Be together openly? Tristan, do you honestly believe I’m so desperate for you that I’d accept everything you do without any bottom line?”

A wave of sorrow washed over me. I did not even have the right to divorce him, not when there had never been a legal marriage between us.

Five years ago, I had eagerly dragged him to the City Hall to register our marriage after our wedding. Just then, he received a call and claimed there was an urgent matter at work, so he had to fly overseas right away.

“Be patient, and wait for me. The first thing we’ll do when I return is collect our marriage certificate, alright?” He held me close and kissed my forehead lovingly.

From then on, every time I mentioned registering our marriage, he always had an excuse.

Time and time again, I let myself be swayed by his sweet nothings, foolishly believing that love could conquer all.

Looking back, I realized just how naive I truly was.

It was not that he did not want to make it official; he simply could not, since he was already legally married to someone else.

My heart throbbed with bitterness and pain, as if it had been plunged into freezing saltwater.

Tristan’s expression darkened, and it was clear his patience had worn thin.

“Stop being unreasonable, Bianca Guthrie,” he said as he stepped closer; his presence became heavy and oppressive.

“I admit I’ve lied to you, but think about it. Haven’t I treated you well these past five years? Look at the house you live in, the car you drive, and the clothes and accessories you wear. Aren’t they all things I’ve given you? Without me, do you think an orphan like you could live the life you have now?”

I stared at him blankly as my heart sank like a stone.

“So what’s your point?” I kept my gaze fixed on him as I asked, each word slow and heavy, “Should I be endlessly grateful and willingly settle for being your secret lover?”

Tristan ran a frustrated hand through his hair.

“I just want you to calm down, Bianca. I don’t want to lose you. I may not be able to make you my wife, but I’ve given you all my love these past five years. All you have to do is listen and stay with me–”

“Enough!” I screamed, cutting him off. “You’ve lied to me all these years, and you still have the gall to say that? It’s revolting!”

Having no desire to waste another word on him, I grabbed my suitcase and turned to leave.

But then his hand shot out, gripping my arm so tightly it felt like my bones might snap.

“Bianca, if you walk out of that door, you’ll regret it.”

His voice was cold and dripping with a clear threat.

I turned and met his angry, bloodshot eyes. In that instant, the last shred of affection I felt for him disappeared.

“Tristan, it is you who should be regretting this.”

With that, I walked away, not once looking back.

As I dragged my suitcase through the quiet, late-night streets, I called my best friend, Cindy Lennox.

The moment she picked up, I broke down in tears.

“Cindy, I… I think I’ve been a mistress for the past five years.”

Maya’s expression grew serious.“My parents told me that the Clarke family is pulling strings to bury this whole thing. They’re even threatening my business partners in an attempt to cut us off financially.”It was only then that I realized we were not just dealing with a despicable man, but with a deeply connected and powerful family. No wonder Tristan acted with such confidence.“Are you scared?” Maya suddenly locked eyes with me and asked.I shook my head and met her gaze. “Not at all. The more he acts like this, the more determined I am to put him behind bars.”What had started as a fight for justice turned into a desire to see this corrupt family face the consequences of their wrongdoings.“Fine!” Cindy slammed her hand on the table. “Since they’ve shown no mercy, we won’t hesitate to be ruthless. It’s just the Clarke family, isn’t it? Let’s see how far their influence really reaches!”Bound by the same enemy, the three of us became more united than ever.As our legal adv

The moment Tristan heard me call the police, he completely lost control. He broke free from the security guards’ grasp and charged toward me like a madman.“Bianca, you filthy woman! How dare you call the police!”Before his hand could touch me, someone stepped in front of me.It was Maya. She stared at Tristan with cold indifference, her gaze devoid of warmth.“You’ll be dealing with me.”Soon, the police arrived at the scene.Faced with undeniable proof, Tristan had no words to defend himself. He was promptly taken into custody for questioning. As he was escorted to the police car, he turned to glare at Maya and me. His eyes blazed with resentment and defiance.“You’ll pay for this… I won’t let you get away with it…”The wail of the police siren drowned out his voice. The party fizzled out, and the guests slowly dispersed, buzzing with gossip and stories to tell.On the expansive lawn, only Maya, I, and the hastily arriving Cindy remained.“Bianca, are you all right?” C

As soon as Maya’s words fell, the entire scene became eerily silent.Tristan’s face drained of color. He stared in disbelief at his wife standing on stage, his expression a mix of fear and fury.“Maya, w-what is this nonsense? Get down here now!” he barked sternly.Maya did not acknowledge him at all. She simply handed the USB drive to one of the staff members.Soon, the display on the screen changed. The first thing to play was a series of clear audio recordings.“Ours was a business arrangement with no feelings involved. You’re the only one I’ve ever loved…“Don’t worry. Once I secure control over her company, I’ll divorce her immediately…“That house? Of course, I’ll put it in your name. My money is yours, after all…”What had once been Tristan’s sweet words and empty promises to me became the most compelling evidence to expose his lies.Murmurs spread through the crowd. Every gaze fixed on Tristan seemed to burn with disdain and disgust.Once the audio recordings ended, t

To my surprise, I received a call from Maya three days later. Her voice over the phone was emotionless. She coldly informed me that I was invited to her child’s birthday party that weekend.I did not understand why she wanted me there. It was clearly a trap, but I agreed anyway. When Cindy heard about it, she reacted even more strongly than I did.“Are you crazy? Aren’t you just setting yourself up for embarrassment by attending his son’s birthday party? What’s Maya trying to pull? She probably wants to humiliate you in front of everyone to relieve her own frustrations.”“I have to go.” I looked at Cindy with a firm gaze. “I can’t let myself be mistreated for five years and do nothing about it.”Cindy could not change my mind, so she repeatedly urged me to look out for myself. The birthday party took place on the lawn of Clarke Villa with a large gathering of guests.Tristan froze momentarily when he saw me. Then, a sly grin tugged at his lips as he made his way over.He pulle

After Tristan left, my phone rang. It was Miriam Whittaker from the orphanage.“Bianca, Angela had a stroke. She’s in critical condition at the hospital. The doctors say we need a large sum for her surgery.”My heart clenched when I heard Miriam’s voice tremble with emotion.I was an orphan, raised in the orphanage, and both Miriam and Angela Zucker had always been like motherly figures to me.“Don’t worry, Miriam. I’ll find a way to get the money. I’ll head to the hospital right now.”I ended the call and forced myself to calm down. The immediate priority was securing the funds for Angela’s surgery.Suddenly, I thought of the house Tristan had bought for me. It was where we had lived for five years. The location was prime and easily worth a few million.I immediately contacted the real estate agent, determined to sell it.However, the agent delivered some devastating news after checking the property details.“Miss Guthrie, this property is not registered under your name.”“

  • I Became A Mistress   Chapter 3

I sobbed uncontrollably as I recounted everything to her, not leaving out a single detail.Cindy was silent on the other end for a long time before her rage finally boiled over.“Unbelievable! Tristan is a total piece of work. Don’t be afraid, Bianca. Where are you? I’ll come get you right now.”At Cindy’s apartment, I drank the warm milk she gave me, and slowly, my emotions began to settle.Cindy, a top lawyer, listened carefully to my account. Her legal expertise kicked in, helping her regain her calm almost instantly.“Don’t panic, Bianca. We can’t let this slide. He’s deceived you for five years. That’s emotional fraud. Leave it to me. I’ll make sure he’s completely ruined and left with nothing.”Seeing Cindy so enraged on my behalf, I felt a comforting warmth within me.Yet, I had underestimated the depth of Tristan’s shamelessness and cruelty.Early the next morning, I woke up to Cindy’s piercing scream.“Bianca, you need to see this! Tristan is unbelievable!”I moved c
