"The forest that almost buried me was the same forest that remembered my name."

Sera's POV

“Where is he?” I asked the butler.

“He is just outside the palace gates,” he replied.

“Please, let him in,” I said, turning back to the butler.

“What? Put him in the dungeon,” Dravon ordered, stepping close to me. “He might be dangerous.” Before I could argue, he scoffed, throwing my own words back at me. “Or is it that you no longer care about your safety? Let them come.”

"The forest that almost buried me was the same forest that remembered my name."Sera's POV“Where is he?” I asked the butler.“He is just outside the palace gates,” he replied.“Please, let him in,” I said, turning back to the butler.“What? Put him in the dungeon,” Dravon ordered, stepping close to me. “He might be dangerous.” Before I could argue, he scoffed, throwing my own words back at me. “Or is it that you no longer care about your safety? Let them come.”“Let's see what he wants first,” Amira said, stepping between us to break the tension.“As you insist,” the butler bowed and left.“Fine,” Dravon and I both snapped at the exact same time.“Should we involve the council?” Kael asked.“No,” I snapped. We headed to the throne room. The heavy wooden doors closed behind us, echoing in the vast, imposing space. Dravon took his seat on the throne, his posture rigid. As the stranger entered, the atmosphere immediately felt off. He was a middle-aged man, his cloak weathered and dusted

"Some destinies are written before birth. Others are carved through survival."Sera's POVI couldn't wait until morning. I had run straight to Dravon's quarters and dragged him down into the cold depths of the dungeon.“What do you mean?” Dravon stared at the symbol I held the lantern up to illuminate.“Look,” I said, showing him the letter I had received from the elder.“This is bad… and you said you felt strange when you touched it?” he asked.I nodded, adjusting my robe tighter around myself because of a sudden chill I felt.“And you haven't seen this before?” I asked.“I have, but I never read into it. I thought it was just written in blood.”I stared back at the jagged lines resembling a coiled serpent.“Good, you're here,” Dravon called out, turning as Kael entered the dungeon, having likely followed our frantic scent down the stairs.“I need your help, Kael. What do you know of this symbol?” I asked, pointing at the groove carved into the wall.He stepped closer and stared at

  • I Bloomed for the Lycan King    THE KING'S APOLOGY

"The strongest warriors know how to fight. The rarest ones know when they are wrong."Dravon's POVI entered my chamber and slammed my fists against the heavy stone wall, the impact doing nothing to quiet my mind.“You almost lost me because you never knew how to hold me.”Her voice kept playing in my head on a loop, sharp and exhausted.A tentative knock broke my thoughts. “Your majesty?” Kael asked from the corridor.“Enter,” I growled. The heavy wooden door creaked open. “You look ready to kill someone,” Kael observed, leaning against the frame. “Is it the council? Are you still angry about them rejecting her as your Luna?”I hissed, pacing away from him.“Or,” Kael added, a knowing smirk touching his lips, “you're angry because she's stubborn.”“Exactly.” I sank onto the edge of the mattress, unbuttoning my tunic and tossing it aside. “Why can't she just be simple?”“Like the battles you win?” Kael tilted his head. “Or like Cyrene?”I froze. My hands gripped the fabric of my whit

  • I Bloomed for the Lycan King    THE SECRET BENEATH THE SCARS

"The wounds people leave behind sometimes reveal the power they were too blind to see."Sera's POVI wandered around the palace grounds in my plain servant's clothes, trailing my fingers along the cold stone walls like a newborn trying to memorize a pattern. I tried not to think about Dravon, or how much I had just hurt him. I had decided to be selfish for once. I needed some time apart to process everything.Leaving the courtyards behind, I found the royal garden. I slipped off my shoes, relishing the soft, damp grass beneath my bare feet. I walked over to the stone fountain, sat on the edge, and dipped my feet into the cool water. Staring up at the vast sky, I finally felt a fleeting moment of calm.Footsteps crunched on the gravel behind me."What do you want, Kael?" I asked, turning to look at him."Your Grace," he bowed."Oh, stop it already." I pulled my feet from the water and stood up. "Again, what do you want?" I asked, crossing my arms over my chest."He's in the throne room

  • I Bloomed for the Lycan King    THE WOMAN WITHOUT A CROWN

A crown can be placed on a head, but it cannot heal the wounds underneath it.Dravon's POVI stared dumbfoundedly at Sera. As I inhaled, I finally realized she was no longer the woman who had arrived here in rags. She had changed. And I knew that change was terrifying."Don't be a coward, Sera," I hissed at her, but immediately winced as a sharp pain tore across my chest. My wound had reopened. I could feel warm liquid seeping through the bandages."How did you know I was here?" she asked, her eyes going wide.I just gave her a look. *What do you think?*"We are mates," I gritted out through the pain."What's wrong?" Sera stepped closer, her eyes instantly assessing the bandages. "You're bleeding."Dropping her bag to the dirt, she draped my arm over her shoulders. "Let's get you back inside," she sighed. She half-carried me through the winding corridors to my chambers. The moment my back hit the heavy mattress, the adrenaline vanished, leaving only a blinding, white-hot agony. Almost

  • I Bloomed for the Lycan King    The King I saved

Sera's Pov I walked through the valley of betrayals and discovered something I never expected. The woman who was abandoned was stronger than the king everyone feared. We had rescued Dravon, and the Valdrakon rejoiced for the return of their king and our hard-won victory in battle. As soon as we passed through the palace gates, Dravon—still deathly pale and unconscious—was carried off to his chambers by Kael, who refused to leave his side until the healers arrived. I stayed just long enough to see the healer step through the door before stepping back into the corridor. The moment I stopped moving, the adrenaline finally crashed. My leather armor felt like a cage of lead pressing down on my bruised ribs. My thighs burned from days in the saddle, and when I looked down, dried blood—a mix of my own and our enemies'—was crusted deep under my fingernails. Every muscle in my body ached with a heavy, throbbing rhythm."Luna Sera."I blinked heavily and looked up. Amira bowed with a gentle sm
