My jaw twitched and I fisted my hands on the fur coat that Gabriel had placed over my shoulder.

“It's best if we don't talk about it.”I heaved a slow sigh,”I'm sorry if my question hurt you in any way.I shouldn't have meddled.”Gabriel said in a remorseful voice but I didn't say anything.

“I will go back inside,”I turned to look at Gabriel and he nodded with a smile,”Thank you for the jacket.”I removed it carefully then handed him the jacket.

I turned around and walked to the mansion without looking back at him.However,I could feel his eyes on my back.
