Chapter 2

Author: Fierce Sleeping Dog
Stacy immediately saw me sitting across from Lewis. The smile on her face froze in an instant.

Her pupils widened abruptly, as if she had seen a ghost.

"Heather?"

Without even looking at her, I lifted my iced latte and took a slow sip.

Lewis frowned and looked at Stacy with displeasure.

"You know her?"

I casually stirred the ice in my cup.

"She is my roommate, Stacy White. "

Stacy bit down hard on her lower lip.

Panic and jealousy flashed in her eyes. She glanced at Lewis's strikingly attractive face, then back at me.

In the end, greed overpowered her fear. She took a deep breath, then boldly pulled out a chair and sat right next to us.

"Lewis, what a coincidence," she said, adopting a pitiful, fragile look. "In fact, I was the one who invited you here today."

She reached out, trying to grab Lewis's hand on the table.

"Heather just happened to pass by. She doesn't even play this game at all."

Lewis jerked his hand back as if he had been shocked, and a flash of disgust crossed his eyes.

He turned to look at me in confusion. I gave a soft laugh, resting my chin on my hand as I watched Stacy.

"Oh? You were the one who set this up? Then why don't you tell us which dungeon we cleared together last night?"

Stacy stiffened immediately. She had logged into my account, but she had been busy chatting the whole time and had no idea what went on in the game. After a long silence, she failed to respond at all.

"I was too tired last night to remember," she said.

She looked away, attempting to recover what little composure she had left.

"Lewis, don't listen to her. She's never even seen what a max-level account looks like."

My smile carried a hint of sarcasm.

"Since you're so confident, let's talk about mechanics."

I turned to Lewis and said in a composed, matter-of-fact tone, "After the recent update, the mage skill 'Frostworld' had its cast animation reduced by half a second. To prevent it from being interrupted in cross-server PvP, should the third row go for 'Rapid Cooldown' or 'Frost Shield'?"

Lewis's eyes lit up at once. This was the kind of edge-case knowledge that only top players would care about.

He turned to Stacy, studying her closely. "Stacy, since you're 'Moonwalker,' what's your take?"

Stacy was completely stunned. She usually only used my account to act cute in safe zones and collect gifts. She couldn't even recognize all the hotkeys, let alone understand cast animations or talent trees.

"I think…" she stammered, nervously tugging at the ill-fitting white designer dress.

"I think 'Frost Shield' would be better. It helps with survival."

She offered the answer as if it were reasonable, hoping it would sound convincing.

Lewis's expression cooled instantly.

I laughed sharply without holding back. "That's a trash talent only low-level beginners would choose."

"You don't even understand basic class mechanics, and you still dare to impersonate the number one mage on the server?"

Each word hit Stacy like a slap across the face.

Lewis immediately followed up with a clear and decisive dismissal.

"Please leave. My girlfriend and I have private matters to discuss, and we would prefer not to be disturbed by outsiders."

Stacy's face turned a deep reddish purple. Her disguise had been completely torn away in public, and she had to watch the main target she had worked so hard for fall straight into my hands.

A wave of humiliation and unwillingness overwhelmed her.

She could not keep it together any longer. Covering her face, she rushed out of the cafe like a defeated stray.

"Damn, that was such a clean and precise takedown from Heather!"

"Stacy is totally clueless. She can't even answer a single question!"

"Lmao, she doesn't even know what Rapid Cooldown is and still tries to pass herself off as the top mage!"

"It is over. Heather has already secured the main target!"

"Poor Stacy is likely crying right now. She isn't going to let this slide!"

I watched the flood of comments scrolling rapidly across the screen and calmly finished the last sip of my iced latte.

If she refused to let this go, that suited me just fine.

This was only the first catch. The real show had just begun.

The match officially began. Stacy had changed into our team uniform and stood in the front row of the family section below the stage. She waved a glow stick and cheered for us at the top of her lungs. Our opponents were Crown Hunters, a veteran powerhouse that had held the championship title for three consecutive seasons. In the grueling BO5 format, the series was pushed to a 2-2 tie.It all came down to the most suffocating final game.At the 25-minute mark, the battle over the dragon that would decide the match began.Crown Hunters changed their game plan and committed fully to a single target, locking onto me, the core mage of our team. As soon as the fight began, their four frontline players emerged from the bushes in the fog of war, unleashing a coordinated barrage of crowd control skills from every direction."Heather! Flash now!" Lewis shouted urgently through the headset."Ignore me!"I stared intently at the screen, executing rapid blind inputs on the keyboard."Shadow

After Stacy left, those strange live comments disappeared as well. I pulled out my chair and calmly swept my gaze across the four top-tier players in the entire server."All unnecessary personnel have been cleared."I took out a team proposal I had prepared long ago from my bag and tossed it onto the table."Now, let's talk business. Astral Titans is officially established today." Over the next three months, there was no romance or distractions, only hellish, closed-door training. These four big shots, who used to dominate the game with arrogance and pride, were thoroughly disciplined by me in the training room until they became obedient.Lewis's positioning lacked precision, so I made him grind solo quests overnight as punishment. Shadowfang's timing for engagements was too impatient, and I tore him apart during review sessions without holding back.In this base, there were no playboys and no backup options, only absolute skill and an extreme hunger for the championship. The

The private room fell into a deathly silence.Stacy stared as the plan she had painstakingly arranged was laid bare before everyone. Her face went ghostly white. After the flood of panic subsided, she behaved like a cornered mad dog and abruptly leapt to her feet."Does it even matter?" she shouted, pointing at my face."Heather, what right do you have to accuse me? Haven't you been using these past few days to secretly meet all four of them in person as well? You met Lewis at Riche Cafe, then went to Velvet Club to find Shadowfang. Aren't you doing the exact same thing, building your own little pool of guys? You're just as shameless as I am!"At that moment, dense lines of comments flashed across my vision again."Holy crap! Stacy just started a livestream on the campus network!""The entire school is watching this drama unfold right now!""That move to shift the blame was brilliant. Stacy's really smart. Heather's done for now!""Right, she won't be able to clear herself of

Lewis stepped forward, placing himself between Stacy and me."Heather, why are you pretending to be Stacy?" he asked, fixing me with a cold stare.Shadowfang didn't hold back at all and snapped, "Get lost. Stop embarrassing yourself here."I looked at this group of idiots who had been brainwashed and were moved by their own delusions, and I couldn't help but let out a quiet round of applause. The crisp sound echoed sharply through the private room. "Well done. This is truly spectacular!"I slowly pulled out my phone from my bag and opened my game assistant app."Stacy, your memory is quite good. Since you're so fond of talking about true feelings and chat history, why don't we put the past two weeks of your conversations up on the big screen in this room? Let these four big shots see just how sincere you really are."Stacy's face stiffened instantly. As soon as she realized what I was about to do, she lunged forward in panic, trying to snatch my phone."What are you doing! How

At the mention of a face scan, Stacy's face went white. She bit down on her lip, and a slight tremor ran through her.A moment later, her expression shifted, and she put on a helpless, aggrieved look. "Heather, you know perfectly well I bought this account from a trading platform. The real-name verification isn't tied to my ID. Making me do a face scan now, isn't that just your way of using the loophole against me?"With that twisted argument, she neatly avoided the fatal flaw of the face scan while recasting herself as a victim being suppressed by wealth and power. Before I could respond, she immediately turned to the four men and switched tactics, playing the emotional card."Accounts can be stolen, but everything we've been through together can't be!"Her eyes reddened as she looked at Lewis with deep emotion. "Lewis, when you were preparing for your law exam last month and pulled three all-nighters in a row, I stayed on voice with you for three days and nights. The day you h

The atmosphere inside the private room was extremely strange.Stacy sat in the main seat, wearing a delicate white dress. Her eyes were red and swollen, making her look undeniably pitiful. Around her sat four top-tier big shots, including Lewis, Shadowfang, and Reviver. In the center, a man idly twirled a lighter. He was Cyrus Richmond, the heir of a top-tier elite family in the capital circle and the second-highest spender on our server. As soon as she noticed me enter, Stacy sprang up from her seat. She pointed straight at me and cried out in injustice, "Heather! You shameless account thief, you finally dared to show up!"The room fell into immediate silence. All four men turned their attention to me at once. Lewis, Shadowfang, and Reviver also rose to their feet, instinctively positioning themselves as though to protect me. Upon seeing this, Stacy's tears spilled over like broken pearls."Lewis, Shadowfang, Reviver, don't believe her! She's not Moonwalker at all. She's my r
