ERMA PRESCOTT.

It's been barely four weeks since I left Falls City, after Grandpa Kels death. I didn't even get the time to bury him. I couldn't wait for a second. The write-up had told me to run.

I knew he had a son.

I have been trying to get through to him but it has been impossible since the duo was not on good terms - something about a woman named Beatrice.

Oak City was quiet. I got a job in a restaurant and was able to stay in the kitchen too.

Today, I was in the hospital, which my boss forced me to attend. He said I was pale so he paid the hospital from my paycheck. Now I was waiting for my result.

“Pregnant?!” I read the paper, and the word ‘positive’ suddenly looked like double edge sword pointing at my face.

I raised my head and the doctor was smiling while dread filled me. No. No.

Goodness, I forgot to take the morning-after pills.

Damn it! Now I was carrying Herth Lockwood’s children. It didn't feel wrong. And I wonder why it didn't feel wrong. Scared... Yes but wrong, no.

I clutched the result to my chest, stepping out of the hospital, each step slower than the next.

When I got out, I stared into space, my mind a whirlwind of emotions.

First, I lost the only man who had ever loved me.

I got chased out of town by only god knows who.

Now I was pregnant with a baby whose father now hates me because he thinks I was bullying his daughter. I was still in the midst of finding out who I really was.

Just then my phone buzzed, seeing Martha’s name over the screen, I quickly picked it up.

“Girl, I think I got it. I cracked the code. I know what you are now and you are going to be shocked out of your mind when you find out!” Her voice rang in my ears making me pull the phone back.

“Well, I hope it involves getting baby funds.”

“What?” She asked but I didn’t answer. I ended the call and took the next available bus to her place.

I had been feeling really weird lately and that made me confide in Martha. She was a girl who was obsessed with science and creepy things, she was mad.

Soon, I arrived in her dorm and there she was sitting in the middle of her bed, legs crossed. Hair was crazy. Her hands were in the air and she would swear that she was meditating. Even when rock music was playing in the background. I walked over to her speaker and removed the plug and only then did she open her eyes, revealing her brown orbs.

“Tell me what you found out!” I sat on the bed, next to her.

“You just ruined the meditating moment.”

“By meditating moment, you mean your crazy sessions where you digest nonsense through music? So glad I ruined that!” I hissed, throwing her a squid pillow so I could sit well.

“You are lucky I like you and rock music is not nonsense.”

“Yeah, according to the Marthatican book. Can we move to the part where you tell me the things you came up with?” I rolled my eyes, moving forward as she walked over to her work table, filled with her junk. By junk, I meant a rat skeleton, a bunch of disks, and a rock n roll pamphlet, etc.

“Everything points to one thing, Erma…. You are a werewolf,” she said, raised her head over her shoulder, and looked at me. For a second, I sat there, unable to process what she had said.

“Ha, a sick joke,” I chuckled. Of course, Martha had a great sense of humor.

“No. You said you bit into a man but you did not suck his blood. You gained claws. You gained strength and heightened smell and hearing. You are not attracted to blood. And you cannot stop thinking about the man you mark which is because he is your mate.” She clarified, licking her tongue like she was a genius explaining math.

But this wasn’t math, it was my life.

“You are crazy!” I laughed.

“Yeah, a crazy genius because I fixed the puzzle.”

“No, you are actually crazy. I am not a wolf … I am actually pregnant. Explains why I keep thinking about a man who is old enough to be my father. It is because I gave him my virginity and now I am carrying his baby!” I blurted, getting up to pace. Pacing helped me manage my anger, anxiety, and adrenaline.

“No way because that will not explain the claws during your attack on Sophia and I knew you were pregnant like a week ago. The signs were all over. You became really cranky. Your face is paler and you've gained some pounds. The only problem is….” She got to her feet and grabbed a hair band and tied her hair in a bun.

"She wolves no longer carry babies, not for a long time. Naturally, their strength begins to fail them and they have to be taken to Nuart for safety. But here you are, still very strong.” Her eyes moved all over my body and I swear I wonder how she knows all these things. I mean if she were telling the truth.

“Sounds like something out of a fictional book!” I waved my hand across her face, picking up my bag as I was tired of listening to her.

SHE IS TELLING THE TRUTH BUT I DON’T TRUST HER, SHE KNOWS TOO MUCH ABOUT WOLVES!

It was the voice again. It wasn’t mine but it comes from me.

“Your eyes just glazed over, your wolf spoke.” She smiled, folding her hand on her chest. Her dark make up adding more dramatic effect.

“Stop it. Its the pregnancy. Wolves are not real, we only read about them in fiction.” I got to my feet, wearing my bag on my shoulder.

“Yeah, but ever wondered how the government stops acquiring taxes yet can keep the community in check? Wolves majored here hundreds of years ago, and we survive through the resources they extend to us cause we gave them a place to stay.”

“Shut up, Martha. You always say nonsense.” I rolled my eyes but she chuckled, settling back in her chair.

I made to leave, walking to the door when she spoke again.

“Yeah, even if you don’t birth by Nuart, you will need your mate by your side to help you. You marked him already which is the first initiation, a part of your soul and his are merging - not completely though since he hasn’t marked you. Now that your bodies are aware that a part of you is somewhere, it will always want to find it. And when it doesn’t it will fight against you.” She smiled, her eyes glinting with mischief that I couldn’t fathom.

“Martha, you are crazy!” I blurt, reaching for the door handle when her voice sounded yet again.

“You are either genesis wolf or an Infernal, the two always move together. The Genesis wolf is too good to be true so the universe created an alternate who will always make it hard for her to fulfill her destiny which is to save the werewolf race. Either way, you should be aware of who you are now and start working toward it because you already have an entire creation made just to stop you! Genesis is to stop Infernal and vice versa.” She faced her computer, typing recklessly, a bunch of words I didn't understand.

I refuse to believe her.

She keeps saying crappy things about the wolf. Citizens no longer pay taxes because the government found a better way to raise funds.

Not some fucking wolf!

  • I SLEPT WITH MY BULLY’S FATHER   SHE KILLED MY DADDY

HERTH LOCKWOOD. Gideon knelt in front of Sophia, attending to her wound, helping her clean it off while I watched. Sometimes it seemed Gideon loved Sophia even more than I, her father. “Sophia, why didn’t you tell us about being bullied. For years, you’ve been bullied by her and you said nothing?” Gideon scolded, a deep frown etched on his face. Tears filled her blue eyes, just like Gideon’s - one of the reasons I assume he cares a lot about her. “She is an orphan so I just thought that it was frustration. She has been bullying me since kindergarten, calling me names and dragging my hair. You saw her right? You saw what she did to me? I blame myself for being so kind-hearted and trying to understand everyone.” Tears rolled down her cheeks and her body trembled lightly. Gideon pulled her closer, wrapping her hands around her while she sobbed in his chest. I looked away. “She is barely twenty-two and she managed to seduce you, Herth. She is bad news.” Gideon shook his head and th

  • I SLEPT WITH MY BULLY’S FATHER   WHO MURDERED GRANDPA KELS?

ERMA PRESCOTT. The orange glow of the cigarette tip sank into my arm and a agonizing scream escaped my lips as pain shot through me. “Stop, please,” I begged, writhing in discomfort. Sophia held me in place, her minions laughed behind her, mocking me for my weakness.“I am your queen, you bitch!” She rammed it deeper into my skin and this time I didn't feel pain, rather I felt upset. YOU ARE NOT QUEEN, I AM!A voice in my head popped in, and the next second, I reached out and grabbed Sophia’s arm, stopping her. I was shocked that I did, because Sophia was always strong. “Bitch!” She called, anger morphing her face but I was angrier- the voice was angrier. I did not know what came over me when I grabbed her neck. Gasps filled the air but I did not care. I rose to my feet, smirking when her angry face morphed into agony. It felt like I was not controlling myself. I pushed forward, shoving her into her SuVI grabbed her wrist, her bone creaking under my grip and she cried. “Aggg

  • I SLEPT WITH MY BULLY’S FATHER   SHE IS THE MOTHER. THE MYTH. THE LEGEND

HERTH LOCKWOOD: “Okay, your story sounds like a damn lie, Herth.” Gideon chuckled, looking away. “You’ve had too much of that vintage bourbon. You are seeing ghosts.” I didn't blink. I sat behind my desk, my hands clasped on my chest. I knew how it sounded. I knew the history. But the fire currently burning in my veins wasn't the alcohol. It was her.“The Genesis wolves are extinct, Herth. They have been gone for two centuries,” Gideon uttered refusing to see logic in what I had said. “Their disappearance was the Moon Goddess’s final judgment. She is done with us. She is letting us fade into humans. You know the law of the Nuart, we are products of science now and Alpha genes, not spirit. Not some goddess.” I stood up, my movement slow when I reached for my collar, unbuttoning the top three studs and tilting my head to the side for him to see. “Look at it, Gideon. Truly look at the mark she had given me,” I commanded and he turned to me, shaking his head. He stepped forward, h

  • I SLEPT WITH MY BULLY’S FATHER   THE VIDEO THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

EMMA PRESCOTT. No one warned me that a petty act of revenge against Sophia Lockwood would cost me my entire life. Hello, my name was Emma Prescott and this was the story of my life. Monday came and I was so excited. Today, the download of the video was going to be complete. Today, I would finally stop being bullied by Sophia Lockwood. I hid from everyone, standing under a tree. My bag sat on my shoulder, my fingers on the screen of my phone. The video and finished downloading. Excitement sprang through me. Finally, Sophia would have no choice but to leave me alone now. Although I had lost my first time to Herth Lockwood, the weight of being bullied was heavier. I clicked on my screen and the video unfolded before my eyes. The next second, the smile that spread on my face turned to awe. What? I choked. The adrenaline I felt disappeared, replaced by stress within seconds. My eyes kept going wide as the video played out in front of me. I stood rooted to the floor, my sen
