Angelo’s POV

The warehouse smells like rust and old blood. It always does. This is the same warehouse where I kept the guy who murdered our loan shark. Back when he was crying about keeping all his fingers.

I step inside to see him already waiting, shifting on his feet like he is standing on hot coals. He gives a weak smile when he sees me, then straightens up and puffs out his chest like it would help.

“Mr. Angelo,” he says, with his hands twitching nervously. “I—uh—I did what you said.”

I cross my arms. “Go on.”

He pulls a folder from his coat and hands it over. “You asked me to multiply by five half of the 570 million. I turned that into 855 million.”

I flip through the file. Numbers, transfers, dummy corporations. The man has done his homework. I whistle low. “You tripled it.”

He nods whilst swallowing hard. “Yes, sir. I—uh—wanted to impress you.”

I look up, smirking. “You did good, man. But it’s not enough.”

His face drops like I had slapped him. “I—I know. I know,” he stammers.

  • I Sold Out a Mafia Boss   Chapter 69: Dangerous Loving

Ricardo’s POVI can smell the scent of her perfume the moment I burst through the door of the secret mansion. I am desperate. My dick is hard with need, and my mind screams her name.I have to see her, touch her, and silence the demanding voice in my head that only she can quell.“Lana! Lana!” I call out with urgency and desire.I search the ground floor, with my eyes scanning every nook and cranny, but I don’t see her. I take the stairs two at a time with ragged breath, driven by the urgency of a man drowning in his own obsession.I find her in the master bedroom. She is standing near the window. I gasp softly as I take in the sight of her. She is wearing the crimson lingerie I asked Luca to pick for her the very first time I took her. It’s a thin, sheer fabric that barely covers her skin, emphasizing her curves I’ve come to crave. I smile slowly, “Is this for me?”Lana doesn’t respond. She just looks away from me with a stiff posture. Her gaze is fixed on the wall as if she can’t be

  • I Sold Out a Mafia Boss   Chapter 68: The Other Woman

Ricardo’s POV"Mommy, daddy, ewwwww!" Gianna's high-pitched sound of pure childish disgust, makes me instantly pull away from Antonella’s lips.My mother bursts out laughing, and the maid holding Isabella chuckles along with her. Antonella’s face twists in surprise and disgust from my spontaneous and forced kiss. It’s written all over her—anger, contempt, a woman who knows she’s wrong for enjoying a kiss from the man she hates with every fiber of her being.Yet, in the next breath, she turns her head and softens her features. She plasters on a smile as she walks to the maid and scoop up Isabella from her arms.“Mi bella bambina,” Antonella coos, rocking my youngest daughter against her chest. Isabella wriggles, chuckling out loud.I look at Isabella, expecting the easy affection I get from Gianna, but she just stares at me. Her wide eyes view me as a stranger intruding on her little world. The sting hits me harder than it should. She’s mine, my blood, my baby girl, yet she doesn’t see

  • I Sold Out a Mafia Boss   Chapter 67: A Perfect Lie

Ricardo’s POVI walk down the stairs with clarity in my chest and victory radiating through me. I did it. Antonella canceled her meeting with Charles. The anonymous tipper. The bastard who thought he could sneak into my world, who thought he could shake Antonella’s loyalty. The night before hadn’t gone well with my mother and Nella, the conversation between us three was a disaster. But for me, I count the scoreboard differently. Antonella canceled. That was all that mattered. A win is a win.I smooth the cuff of my shirt as I button it, telling myself that today, finally, I will be the man my family needs me to be. No mafia business, no calls, no distractions. Just family. My children, my girlfriend, and my mother. I even repeat it to myself as though reciting a prayer: family first today. And yet, as always, Lana slips through the cracks of my focus. Her laugh, her body. The way she folds beneath my hands and then rises again like she was born for me. My dick twitches just thinking o

  • I Sold Out a Mafia Boss   Chapter 66: Borrowed Time

Lana’s POVThe silence of the secret mansion is a living thing. It breathes, it whispers, it closes in on me. When Ricardo is here, the mansion is alive. But when he’s away, all I can think about is him. He fills my mind, my body, and my very soul.I toss and turn in bed, clutching the pillow he last touched and inhaling the trace of his cologne. My body aches in a way I hate to admit, like it only exists when he commands it.I squeeze my thighs together, but it’s not enough. Not unless it’s him.“Fuck,” I whisper, catching my breath. It's been merely 48 hours since I've seen Ricardo, yet my body is screaming for his touch. I close my eyes, trying to will myself to sleep, but all I can see is his face, his smirk, and his dark eyes that seem to see right through me.I can't take it anymore. I slip my hand under the waistband of my panties, as my fingers find my already wet pussy."Fuck," I whisper, with my hips bucking slightly as I start to rub my clit in slow circles.I imagine it's

Charles’ POVI am ready. Jacket pressed, gun holstered and mind sharp. I’ve been counting down the minutes until Louis Café, rehearsing my approach with Antonella. Finally, a meeting that can push my war with Ricardo forward. Alma fucked me over, she was too afraid to go through with it, so now I’m the one handling it myself.I glance at my wristwatch—7:39 a.m. Twenty-one minutes left. Enough time to make it. Enough time to win.A chime from my laptop pulls my attention away from the watch. It's an email from Antonella. I click it open as my heart thump with anticipation.I scan it quickly:Change of venue. Change of plans. My brows furrow. I continue reading:Get me a picture of his bitch. When you do that, then we meet.I freeze. I reread the lines again before my rage explodes.“Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!” I clutch my hair with both hands.I was so damn close, so close to drawing blood and now Antonella was moving the goalpost. A picture of Lana? A picture!Ricardo’s done something. He’s do

  • I Sold Out a Mafia Boss   Chapter 64: My Heart Beats For…..

Ricardo’s POVI don’t breathe when I see her— My mother, Geo.Her white hair is perfectly curled, not a strand out of place. Her thin, red lips are pressed into a tight line, and her long trench coat cinches her frame as if discipline itself is wrapped around her body. She walks down the staircase with disappointment dripping from her eyes before she even opens her mouth.I hate Antonella for this. For dragging her here. For forcing me to face the one person I'm most afraid of disappointing. But I hate golden shitface more for giving Antonella the courage to play with fire like this. He doesn’t know what he’s done. He doesn't know the monster he’s awakened.Antonella doesn’t even like my mother. She never did. Geo believed from the beginning that we started too young, too recklessly. I was twenty-four, and Antonella was sixteen. My mother had warned me. She told me that family ties and a love that burned so brightly at such a young age can be a recipe for disaster when it comes to bri
