I pushed the door opened and saw the woman who gave birth to me siting up in bed, sipping on some tea and watching television. She smiled brightly at me as I returned it with tears filling my eyes. She placed the cup on a table beside the bed before I engaged her in a long warm hug.

"I missed you mom"

"I miss you too sweetie, she replied rubbing my back with the smile that never left her face. I pulled away and sat in the chair beside her bed.

" So how's work? "

" I lost my job but I got a new one as a maid"

"really? That's great. How long have you been working?, she said showing so much interest in my new job choice.

" A few months "

She nodded her head and then there was silence. I missed her. Her face wasn't as pale as before and her lips looked healthy and I couldn't help but smile.

The door opened and doctor brown came in and a huge smile leapt to his face when he saw me.

" Miss Newton, how are you?"

"I'm fine and you?"

Why all of a sudden it’s a different book. I looked ahead a couple of chapters and this is from a book I just finished.
