LOGINCersai's POV:I held tightly as Kwen's body shook in my grip. Halo's sultry voice vibrated and roared in my head, sending me and Reign into a frenzy. Reign responded in kind to Halo's proclaim over us, shouting our claim over them in her mind. At that exact time, this beam of light shot out of Kwen's chest. Her faded glow came back with a vengeance, blinding me, unable to see even a few feet in front of me. None of that mattered, as long as Kwen survived. My heart raced, beating rapidly, almost painfully, but I refused to let her go. The battle around us seemed to fade as everyone became distracted by the light show. Suddenly, Kwen was gone from my arms. The light show disappeared, and the earth fell silent again. My fangs felt empty without being buried in her skin, her blood still trickled down my chin. I stared at my lap and arms where her body once sat, jaw slacked and arms empty. My heart felt like a stone in my chest.Where is she?!!I looked around, noticing everyone standing,
Kwen's POV: Edward smiled up at me, his fangs showing as his grimace of a smile widened. All of a sudden, this overwhelming presence enveloped me. I lifted my hooded eyes to see the dark ones of my dark prince. He looked incredibly menacing, yet the power he yielded was astronomically alluring. The moment Edward became aware of his impending doom, it was already too late. "You've laid hands on what belongs to me." Cersai's melded, rumbled voice echoed out into the night. In real time, I watched Edward's face drain of color, his grip around my throat loosened by a hair. His assured face quickly fell from its weak facade, and his real fragile face appeared. His breathe shallowed, but he put on a brave face, steadying his growing shaky voice. "You have finally come back to the land of the living. Are you sure you're in your right mind, prince? You were, at one point tonight, with those filthy witches. Who's to say you aren't or haven't been colluding with them all along." He said, fi
Cersai's POV: James stared at me with a look of confusion. He rested a heavy hand on my shoulder. "You have to relax. Get your bearings together." He said. I shrugged his hand off, immediately. "I'm fine. I need to find Kwen. She needs my help!" I repeated, trying my best to stand to my feet. And, yet again, James was still trying to hold me back. "Cersai, wait a second! There's much you don't know yet. Let me try to ex-" "ENOUGH!" I bellowed out, cutting him off. James finally went silent. I took a deep breath, reigning in my anger. It wasn't directed at him, but he was keeping me from my mate when she needed me by her side. I sighed. "Look, I'm sorry, but you don't understand. I need to go to Kwen. She needs my help! I know she and Halo marked me. And I know I have a halo above my head. Right now, Kwen's at risk of apparently disappearing, or not being her anymore, whatever the hell that means!! Now, help me up!" I said, all in one breath. James looked at me blankly. "How.
Kwen's POV:Though I was weak, my eyes was strong enough to see that my grandma had a sudden dye job. Her aura and the power she radiated was enormous. Most of all, her hair shimmered a silvery glow that matched the silver glow of her eyes. She exuded a strength that was almost tangible, and she stood over me like a wall erected for my protection. Like I always do, I tried to make lite of the situation, all the while I felt myself growing weaker by the second."You've... changed."I squeaked out, with the smallest smile I could mustard pass the pain I felt. Her eyes finally softened as she looked down at me, her anger still clearly apparent. I watched as she took a shaky breath, taking in my horrible appearance. Her eyes watered."Kwen. I'm so happy... you're ok."She said. I was suprised by the mixed voice I heard. I've seen Sheena plenty of times growing up, but I can't recall ever witnessing grandma and her wolf melded like Cersai and Reign does often. This could be the first time
Tori's POV: The voice in my head I knew wasn't my wolf, Sheena. I've never felt a presence like the presence I felt when it spoke, and the fear it elicited made my blood run cold. Who would I save? Before I could think of anything else, Kwen was hit with a magical strike by Ava, flying over our heads, falling to the ground back towards the council's building. My eyes widened, my voice trapped in my throat. I heard Brandon scream for his child. Many others followed his heart shattering pleas, yet all I did was stand there. I froze in place. The level of fear that automatically took over my body was insurmountable. Why? What am I to do? What am I to uncover? Suddenly, my arm was yanked, and I was turned to face my grandmother. Her eyes held determination. Everything... all of it began to remind me of that day. I felt so small, weak and helpless. Now, here we are again. My grandmother stood in front of me while a battle raged around us. The only difference this time was that I
Ava's POV:My anger flared watching Kwen. I wanted to laugh in her face when she spoke of showing me gratitude. I wanted to believe in my heart of hearts that she spoke in hyperbolics. But as the icy vine ripped through my flesh, and a burning cold sensation stayed behind from when she ripped it away, freezing the part of my shoulder that she impaled, I knew something was different. When I looked in her eyes, I no longer saw the Kwen of old. Her want for me to scream out in pain, curdled my stomach. I didn't want to feel what I felt, but as a witch, our intuition is never wrong. My body was screaming for me to heed her warnings, yet I refused to back down.I'm the most powerful witch!!No one can touch what I've become!!I sneered at her, gripping on to my shoulder. Something about the wound was weird. I didn't bleed. The pain was enormous, and my shoulder tingled with a painful numbing sensation. "HOW DARE YOU WOUND MY BODY!! I AM IN CHARGE HERE, AND YOU CAN'T STOP ME!"I shouted. I
