The morning came quickly. I looked at my phone and it said 8 am. My body still woke up like clock work at 8. That was the time I would get up to give mommy her medicine and get ready for school. The drapes of the canopy were burgundy, and so were the sheer curtains that lay underneath the green blackout curtains.
