AUTHOR'S POVThe darkness that covered Ezra arrived the way deep sleep sometimes did without any announcement or transition. It was one moment ordinary and the next, something else entirely. My eyes felt the way they felt after crying. They were slightly swollen at the edges and I remembered what exactly had brought me over to that point. I remembered crying in Dorian's arms like a baby and wasn't willing to let go. "I just can't seem to have my tears in secret." I mumbled and put my feet on the floor. I stood up and stretched my body just a little. I was almost at the door when Cole's voice came from the bed. "Hey." I turned. COLE'S POVI watched Dorian put Ezra gently on the bed and covered him with a blanket. It was almost noon. I had gone to search for Ezra after he had been gone for hours.
