94. The Senescent Tale

In three suns and three moons, Akshara learned to tame the beast, El Detza, and in exchange, El Detza assisted her in entirely healing her wounds. Every day and night, El Detza would choke, snarl, and suffer greatly to expel whatever had entered its mouth.

Nothing but Akshara attempted to enter El Detza's mouth when it was fast asleep. Despite her unpleasant temperament, El Detza revealed to her a secret path in the dungeon.

"What exactly is this? For my independence, a hidden passage?" Akshara raised an eyebrow.

"A door to all your inquiries," El Detza stated once and pushed her inside. "Are you getting rid of me?" Akshara inquired.

"Knowing the history is your choice." El Detza, the beast, showed her the hole in the dungeon and invited her to enter. Akshara denied it, but it pushed her farther into the abyss.

While Akshara walked onward, the hole in the dungeon spread into a cave. El Detza cut a section of rock from the cave to allow ventilation and light to enter.
