The Brown Pack

Outside of the city of Camelot was surrounded by tall trees, one would have to walk a long distance away from the city before they could get to the neighbouring cities.

During the reign of Nadia's Great grandfather, he had banished every single Supernatural being from the city of camelot after Selena's Disappearance, some of the witches who had been banished could not walk long distances in order to search for areas of settlements in the other cities, so they settled down in the woods.

The werewolves on the other hand could run long distances in their werewolf form, so they turned and ran as fast as they could until the found a plane land that had not been inhabited by humans and they settled there. They called the place THE KENNEL and it had remained so.

Over the years, the werewolves clans that settled in the kennel multiplied into several packs, hence they had fallen into a battle for superiority as the superior pack made all the rules and decided the date of the whole Kennel. The BROWN pack had always proven to be superior as they won every battle that they had fought hence earning their respect among the other packs.

Derek had just been made the new alpha of the Brown pack. His father had lost his Luna during a fierce battle and made up his mind to be to be a lone wolf forever, so he passed on the Alpha powers to his son before speeding away.

This situation made Derek Literally the youngest alpha in the whole kennel, and most of the other alphas did not like the fact that someone who they were way older than would now decide the fate of the whole Kennel so they planned a war against him.

(Presently...)

A loud coarse howl sounded from right outside the gates of the Brown pack's domain piercing through the ears of every brown werewolf that were sleeping at that early hour of the day.

"What the hell was that?" Derek asked as he stood up from his bed.

Normally, that kind of loud howl could only mean War or great danger and Derek was not ready for any of that yet - I mean he knew that the other alphas would not be happy that he got to make decisions for the whole Kennel but he did not expect them to bring a war to his door front so soon.

"Alpha! Alpha! The White wolves and the Black wolves are trying to break down our Gate!" One of the Brown wolves who watches the gate at night came running to Derek's abode.

"Prepare the Men for war! We need to defend ourselves." Derek shouted as he stood up from his bed. "Where the hell is my Beta?"

Sam was Derek's beta and they had been best friends since childhood, so the moment Derek's father gave him the alpha powers, Sam spontaneously got his.

Normally he'd be the First person that Derek sees whenever he wakes up but today he seemed to have woken up a bit earlier.

"I'm over here. Bringing your clothes, you where not planning on going to fight half naked were you?" Sam said as he handed over the clothes he had brought to Derek who dragged them off from his thick hands.

"This is no time to make fun Sam, we've got two wolf packs attacking our gates right now and they are surely not joking." Derek declared as he jumped into the clothes. "Come on let's move!!"

Derek ran as fast as he could out of the apartment with Sam and the rest of his guards following closely behind him.

The army of werewolves from his clan that had been waiting outside joined him as he charged towards the gates.

Sam had his doubts, but he dared not say anything to discourage the alpha, ever since they were younger they had always dreamt of leading the pack to different wars that they would win, but not this kind, they were not prepared to be attacked yet.

Momentarily, they arrived at the gates and started to fight as strongly as they could killing most of the attacking wolves.

The brown wolves seemed to be happy to fight beside their brave alpha as he was leading them to victory already but suddenly everything changed when they sighted a group of other packs coming to join the war.

"Damn, we are outnumbered we need to surrender" Sam panicked as he turned to look at Derek who shook his head negatively.

"We cannot just surrender, if we do, we'd be their slaves. I cannot be a slave to these people, how will our people look at me as?" Derek whispered almost moved to tears.

Sam knew Derek, he knew that he could not convince him to surrender and if they go on with this battle they all were going to die or another.

The attacking pack would either kill all of them in the battle ground or kill Derek which literally meant the same thing because he was the alpha an in this part of the world, when an alpha dies with his power still in him, the whole clan dies as well - he had to transfer the powers before he dies.

Nevertheless, another Idea came to Sam's mind, maybe he could convince Derek to run away.

"Are you mad?! Why would I run from a battle" Derek shouted when Sam told him about the latter plan.

"Okay, so what if I let you stay and you get killed, who would even remember that you were once an alpha when we all would die with you?" Sam asked.

The question sounded fair to Derek, if he ran away, he could return some other time and liberate his pack from whatever form of suffering the might be going through, but if he died now, well.. he knew what to expect.

"Take care of the pack while I'm gone, I'd be back I promise you!" Derek stated firmly, then he turned to two of his personal guards. "Come with me."

Sam watched as Derek retreated with the guards unreal they ran into the woods, then he turned around.

"Let us surrender!" He said to his men as they raised their hands in the air before the four other packs that had come to join the war arrived.

Later that same day when the sun had already started to go down, Derek and the guards who had Left the Kennel with him decided to rest at a particular spot in the woods, they had run quite a long distance and needed to rest.

"Let's not be discouraged, I'm sure that we would see a city near by soon. We'd stay there for a few days and when we figure out something, we'd return and save our pack" Derek stated firmly.

He had never really Left the Kennel since he was born but he just wanted to sound strong in front of his guards.

Momentarily the cloud became darker faster than normal and then a drop of water landed on his hand.

"Oh Great." He stated thinking that it was probably about to rain.

But his guards did not think so as they could see that the sky outside where they were standing was far brighter than where they stood, the clouds had only gathered above their heads.

"Uhm sir, something is not right." One of the guards stated.

Derek noticed what was happening and sniffed around Hoping to catch any strange smell, and he did.

"Show yourselves!" He stated with a commanding voice.

Suddenly a group of witches started to come out from behind the trees that where around.

"I knew you'd sniff us out you dogs." One who seemed like the leader of the witches said as they surrounded Derek and his guards.

"We don't want any trouble, we where just passing by." Derek said, hoping that the witches would consider.

"Sir you know what you have to do when things get messy, don't look back" one of the guards whispered to him. "Once you find an opening run! We'd cover for you."

Derek sighed he saw that the witches where not going to listen to him as they had started to mutter a spell. He rushed towards one of them and scratched her with his claws, she fell to the ground groaning in pain as he ran through the opening that she created.

The other witches where pissed and tried to attack him, but his guards where there to fight them, buying him enough time to run as far as he could.

By the time that Derek arrived at the gates of Camelot which seemed to be the first city that he had seen, he was too weak and could not even move a muscle any more, so he fell to the ground and his eyes closed.

One of the Gate keepers of the city who happened to be the only one on duty at that particular time had seen him slump, so he rushed to pick him up and brought him into the city.
