The Beginning of the End.

"Nadia!!" Queen Gwennive thundered as she stepped into the room, but then she relaxed a bit and reduced the sound of her voice when she saw that the princess was actually sleeping on her bed or rather pretending to be asleep. "Nadia, my sweetheart, how are you?"

Annie and Brianna looked at each other in confusion wondering who it was that the queen was talking to and they where both relieved and confused at the same time, when they saw the princess lying calmly on the bed.

"Your father and I are still worried about you, you haven't stepped out of your room ever since... Well, even after you promised me that you would." The Queen continued to express her worry towards Nadia.

Nadia sighed, she knew that it was high time she stepped out, but then she needed to do something first. She could feel the substance that the witch had given to her between her palm, she needed to know what it was for, before she could leave the room. "I'm fine mum, I'm no longer a kid remember? You don't need to worry too much about me. I'd be out in my own time, just trust me on this okay?."

The Queen hesitated for a moment, then she sighed deeply and nodded accordingly. It seemed as though she had wanted to say something, but on a second thought decided to wait until the princess comes out.

"Don't be too long." The Queen added briefly before standing up and walking out of the room.

Annie and Brianna bowed briefly as the Queen passed through where they stood. They waited until they where sure that the Queen had left completely before they rushed towards where Nadia laid on the bed, bumbarding her with all the questions on their mind.

"How the hell did you sneak back in without anyone noticing?"

" What took you so long! You got us all worried."..

" When you didn't return home last night we thought something bad must have happened to you, it took us a whole lot to keep faith.. what happened out there?"

The girls kept on asking impatiently but all Nadia could do was just sigh and wait for them to leave the room so that she could do what she wanted to do..

Derek still had a cool smile on his face as he walked back to Harry's appartment that same morning, he couldn't help but recall the experience he had had with the strange girl that he had just met a few minutes ago, the one who he had offered some water to help relief her of what intense suffering that she seemed to have been undergoing, but then she blatantly refused to take any help from him.

"Weirdo." He muttered as he chuckled and then bent down slowly..

The thought of the girl's supposed suffering made him wonder how his pack was doing, it was at this point that it occured to him that he had not heard anything from his people ever since he was exiled, and he hadn't even told them that he was fine, he sighed slowly as he stood up from where he had bent, then he looked around to find a safer place where he could mind-link with his Beta or any of his pack member that he could reach.

Meanwhile, at the dungeon of the Kennel, His brown pack continued to see immerse suffering.

"To what end do we need to keep enduring all these pain?" One member of the brown pack asked Sam (Derek's beta), as he threw away the tool that he was using to work. "we don't even know if the alpha is still alive or not, how are we sure that we have any hope of leaving this Cursed place?"

Sam Did not say any word as he continued to work on the portion that had been allocated to him.

"Why the silence? The alpha is probably dead by now, so I'd suggest that we just pledge our allegiance to the white pack, there's nothing worse that they can do to us other than what we are already facing here and now." The wolf stated agitatingly.

Sam paused, he was pissed and shocked at what his fellow pack wolf had just said, he was about to react when he received the signal of the Alpha's mind linking.

"The Alpha is alive, infact he's mind linking me right now, so I'd suggest that you keep calm and continue with what you are doing until we find a way to take back what rightfully belongs to us." He stated as he walked away to a more calmer region to connect the mind link.

The other wolf remained calm as new thoughts began to cluster in his head, perhaps he should use the link to find out where the alpha was and just end the whole suffering... Or he should wait to hear what he was going to tell the beta, before he would take his action...

"Hey.. Sam, it's me, I'm In a safe place now, how are you? How is everyone over there?" Derek's voice sounded anxiously in Sam's head.

Sam sighed briefly as he narrated what he and the rest of the pack had been going through in the hands of the brown pack. Although he tried as much as he could not to tell him everything that they where going through, to avoid causing any panic or hasty decisions, but Derek could feel the untold pain through the mind link and this made him get extremely worried and also steered up the need to facilitate what ever action he needed to take to free his pack.

"Listen to me Sam, I promise you that I'm going to return as soon as possible and I'm going to get you all out of there.. and I vow to pay the white pack double of what they have done to you and the rest of the pack" Derek thundered in rage and despair before disconnecting from the mind link.

He groaned in pain for a few moments as all he could think of at that time was Vengeance!.

Soon, when he had regained a little bit of composure, he contunued his movement towards Harry's appartment. When he finally arrived there, he had a frown on his face.

"Why do you look like you literally tasted shit?" Harry asked when he saw the look on Derek's face.

"I'm really going to need your help!" Derek blurted out having no much options anymore. "Remember when I first saw you?, You had a sword, abd you told me that you are a member of the night gate guards... does that Guard have an army?"

Harry slowly kept the cup of coffee that he had been drinking, he didn't quite understand why Derek was asking him about what he was asking or rather, he hoped that it was not what he was thinking.

"I know this might not sound right, but I need them, I need them to fight by my side, I need to free my pack, they are in a lot of suffering.." Derek Stated desperately.

" What is this nonsense that you speak of? You know that I am not in charge of the night guards, and infact the night guards do not operate on their own accord." Harry replied hoping to defer Derek from whatever he was planning to do in his rush.

Derek sighed. "Then tell me, who is in charge?"

"The king ofcos gives the order". Harry did not like where the conversation was heading to, so he sought four a way to end it, but to his surprise, the matter was far from ended.

"How can I speak to the king? I want to talk to him."

"And tell him what?! Do you forget yourself Derek? Do you forget the kind of Kingdom that you are in? The king would have your head on a platter the moment you tell him that you are a wolf, how then do you plan on convincing him to let his soldiers fight with you?" Harry lashed out.

Derek sighed slowly, then he spoke calmly. " I'd take my chances."

When harry saw the amount of seriousness on Derek's face and how he was willing to sacrifice himself through any cost for his people, he had pity on him and sought for a way to make him calm down.

"The only day you can see the king is on the FEAST OF THE COMMON PEOPLE, perhaps he would here your plea, when he is in a merry mood." Harry had said this, because the feast was in a few days time, and he thought that he might be able to change Derek's mind before then. "But I still think that this is a bad idea, perhaps we should come up with another plan."

" Thank you... But this is the only plan I can think of for now, and there's no time to think of another.." Derek stated. " I'd go and see the king on the day if the feast, and I'd like you to please come with me, so we need to prepare our speech."

At the palace, Nadia sighed in relief as everyone had left her alone in her room. This was exactly what she wanted, she walked towards the door and bolted it to ensure that no one walked in on her.

Then she brought out what the witch had given her earlier and stared at it, it was a communication tool of some sort, because she could see Selena's Face smiling at her as she opened the tool.

"What took you so long?" Selena asked through the tool. "I am at the gate of the kingdom, send you guards to bring me in.."

Nadia nodded in agreement as she called on to her guards.

Selena smiled on the other end, as she closed the tool before muttering. "oh, great Camelot.. this is the begining of your downfall!!"
