Chapter 1: A Beta's Heart
ALBA.
My name is Alba Adams.
An Alpha Female. The youngest and only female in a brood of four.
My father is Alpha Vesmont of the Green Valley Pack. One of the high-ranking members of the Council.
So yes, a lot was expected of me.
But I am Alba. I bowed to no one. I make my own rules too.
I spent the last three years perfecting my skills in human combat, so when my cousin, Alpha Riley, of the Silver Moon Pack, decided to lend a hand and help his neighboring pack being attacked by a group of organized rogues, I didn’t think twice about joining in.
And as much as Riley didn’t approve of it, he couldn’t do anything.
