Days have passed since that incident happened. Hazel was trying to overcome it and it was even working. Of course, it will. When Irene made her understand that she should be thankful that he did not move further or rape her. It could have been worse but she survived. In such a situation, she should have thanked God, not him, which she did every moment.

But he harassed her—the thing irritated her even more. It was hard to forget. She could not forget how he ripped her clothes off her. She could not forget how he marked her skin like an animal. Not that easily. Even though he had a charming personality, she got scared whenever she remembered him. His face horrified her every time. Because his face always reminded her of that night.

The memory was so bad and dark that it had imprinted itself like a dark ink in her mind which was not ready to be washed away. Because of this, she started having nightmares every night, so the next morning she used to get a light layer of sweat on her fore
