Love Or Life

The loud noise of music was echoing against the walls of that entire place where bodies were grazing against each other and were swaying with the rhythm of the music and where most of the breathings were reeking of alcohol and their eyes were filled with its intoxication.

"So, babygirl, are you enjoying our night...?"

"More than you can imagine ," the woman replied, who was dancing with her boyfriend, Shane, with her arms wrapped around his neck.

The man's arms were surrounded around his girlfriend's waist, as their bodies were grazing against each other. That couple had come to that bar to enjoy their evening.

"Then I guess, it becomes your responsibility to give your boyfriend a return gift,"

A blush crept on that woman's already flushed cheeks, as he whispered those words in her ear, and then he buried his face into the crook of her neck and pulled her body closer to his.

She pecked his ear and tangled her fingers in his hair.

"Don't worry. As soon as we are going to reach our hotel room, I promise I'll reward you with a pleasurable gift,"

The man softly chuckled, hearing his girlfriend's reply and then he kissed her neck and grabbed her hips, which made her softly gasp.

"Then I guess , we'll have to leave this place soon... "

"Not a bad idea, " She replied, which made the man kiss her.

Every single person in that place was busy on their own. Dancing, enjoying, drinking…. as the night was proceeding further.

That couple was also enjoying their private moments. They both were sucking each other's mouth while moving their tangled bodies with the rhythm of that slow and sensual song but got halted with the man's phone ring.

They pulled back and the man took out his phone, but as soon as he looked at it, his facial expression changed.

"It's from my company's manager. I need to take this, "

The man stated to which his girlfriend sighed, a little disappointed, which didn't go unnoticed by him. He gently pecked her lips and gave her a pleading look.

"Please Alena, it's urgent. I'll be back in a minute, "

She slightly rolled her eyes, and then with a smile, she nodded at him in agreement, which made him beam back.

"I will be in the corridor, just wait for me here for a minute. Okay love... ?"

She nodded at him in understanding and then he left that place.

After the man stepped in the corridor, he picked up his call.

“What happened?” He asked on the call, already irritated.

“Sir, that woman, Scarlet, is planning on going to the police and in the media to reveal that you are the father of her daughter and how you have abandoned her and your own daughter,” hearing those words of his informer on the call, that man, Shane clenched his jaw.

Scarlet used to be maid in his mansion, whose virginity he had taken while giving her the false hopes that he loved her and was going to marry her, but after sleeping with her for almost a month, he threw her out of his house because he had no intention of marrying her but that woman continued to plead him to marry her as she had fallen in love with him and had no one in this world except for a sick father, so irritated with her continuous begging, he fired her from her job and threw her out of his house, knowing she would never be able to stand against his power and money.

But suddenly, last week, that woman came back to his home with a one month old child, claiming that the newborn child was his. She even had paternity test reports which confirmed he was her daughter's father.

Once again, she begged him to marry her and accept her and their daughter, but he was completely done with that woman this time, so he threw her out with her daughter again from his house with a warning.

“She is planning on showing the paternity test reports to the media and ruin your image,”

Shame gritted his teeth. He was a powerful and successful businessman, so he could do anything to save his name and reputation.

“Kill that f*cking woman and her daughter before they would even reach anyone else,” he growled on the phone, unaware someone else was hearing every word of his.

“I want them dead before anyone would find out that I am the father of her daughter,” saying that he hung up the call and exhaled a heavy breath.

Turning around, he decided to go inside the club to get back to his girlfriend, Alena, but suddenly someone aggressively bumped against him and his phone fell from his hand.

“Watch where the f*ck you are going?” Shane snarled at that man, against whom he had just stumbled upon. His loud voice gained everyone's attention, including his girlfriend, Alena’s, who dashed towards them.

“What happened, Shane?” She asked her boyfriend, and then trailed her eyes towards that man in front of Shane whose dark and fervid gaze was fixed at Shane.

“Now what are you looking at? Pick up my damn phone,” Shane spat at that man before him.

“And what if I don't then?” Shane finally heard that man's throaty voice and his words outraged him more.

"Then….I'll kill you, you fucker. "

Alena heard her boyfriend shouting at that man, which made her afraid, knowing now a scene was creating in front of so many people, but her eyes got befuddled when she found a treacherous smirk to crept on that man's face, hearing her boyfriend's words.

" Kill me....? "

She heard that man's raspy voice uttering with a chuckle to her boyfriend

"I would like to see you try, "

Everyone gasped, hearing his words, whereas that woman, Alena, stared at him, horrified.

Shane fumed up in anger and then he raised his fist to hit that man, but Alena's heartbeat dropped when she saw that man to grab her boyfriend's hand in the middle so harshly that a painful groan escaped from Shane's mouth, and with a blink of an eye, she found that man to punch so hardly on her boyfriend's face that Shane fell on the floor with a loud thud.

"Shane! " She screamed in horror and stormed towards her boyfriend. Her eyes pricked with tears by watching blood dripping from the corner of his mouth.

“Are you f*cking insane?” She shouted at that man in front of them, which widened his vicious smirk.

"Help, please somebody help.... " She begged while staring at all those people ,who were surrounding her, but nobody even dared to take a single step closer to them, which made her confused.

"Nobody is going to help you,"

She snapped her eyes at him after hearing that man's words, and that was where she noticed why nobody was even daring to get closer to them. She saw that man holding a gun, which made her heart drop its beating in fear.

She witnessed that man stepping closer to them before he grabbed her boyfriend's collar and aggressively made him stand on his legs.

Her boyfriend's nose and mouth were bleeding badly, which clenched her heart. She tried to stride towards them but stopped when she saw that man pointing his gun at her boyfriend's head.

Her body froze in horror. No, she couldn't let him kill her love. She loved her boyfriend more than her own self.

Alena ran towards them and got on her knees. She grabbed that man's legs to beg him to let go of her boyfriend's life.

"Please, let him go... Please... " She pleaded with him. Tears vigorously fell from her eyes.

"I love him. Please take my life but let him go…. please. "

A hoarse snigger came out from that man's mouth at her words whereas every single person present inside that place felt terrified by watching that human, who had the shadow of a demon, standing in front of them.

"Love?” Turning his head in her direction, he looked down at her.

“But do you think your love loves you enough to save your life?” His question caught her off-guard, which made his eyes get engulfed with more darkness.

His grin turned more diabolic.

"Let's find out then….how much your love loves you?" Alena heard him uttering.

She saw that man turning around to face her boyfriend.

"Do you love her?” She heard him asking her boyfriend, to which her boyfriend nodded at him, which made his grin widened.

He pressed his gun more against Shane's head, who swallowed hardly in dread.

"More than your own life ? "

Shane's eyes got enlarged in horror by hearing his vicious words and by watching the sadistic gloominess playing in his dark eyes.

He dropped his gun down and walked past Shane where he stood behind him and again pressed the gun against Shane’s head.

"LOVE OR LIFE?" He questioned while peering into that woman's, Alena's teary eyes.
