Instead of searching for words to say, I leaned in further and brush my lips against his briefly before moving away.

“I don’t hate you and I’m not afraid of you either. I just thought since we are not married, it would be better if we, uhm” I swallowed nervously, unable to say out the word out loud.

“Did someone say something to you? Is that why you’re saying all these?” he questioned with a raised brow.

“What? No..no but you are the Prince and have a reputation in society whereas I don’t and even though you say we are engaged, I don’t want your name to be taint because of me” I explained calmly, my heart beating loudly in my chest.

He nodded once and pushed away from me with a deep sigh.

“I understand what you are saying, Iris but I don’t care about those side talks and gossips but I can’t say same for you so I will have servants arrange one of the rooms for you as soon as possible”
