DRAKE POV

The house was too quiet.

Too damn quiet.

I slammed the front door behind me, the sound echoing through the empty hall like a gunshot. Her scent still lingered in the air faint vanilla. Mocking me. Haunting me.

I staggered to the living room, the image of Isabella’s face twisted in betrayal, in pain burned into my brain like acid. Her sobs still rang in my ears. Her voice cracked with horror when she said the word “monster.” And she was right.

I had become the very thing I swore I'd never be.

My knees gave out, and I collapsed onto the couch, burying my face in my hands. For a second, all I could do was breathe. Just breathe. Like maybe if I did it enough times, it would hurt less.

But it didn’t.

My eyes caught the glass on the side table half-full from the night before, still stained with lipstick. Hers. A fragment of our old life. Of the lie I’d let fester.

I grabbed it and threw it against the wall.

It exploded.

Shards flew like splinters of memory, catching the light, ref

  • ISABELLA (The Night that ruined me)   THE VILLAIN

CAMILLE POVI sat in my cramped sitting room, my legs crossed, a glass of cheap wine in one hand and disgust churning in my chest. My eyes swept over the walls …faded paint, furniture I didn’t even like. Everything here felt so… small. This wasn’t the life I wanted. The clock ticked too loud. The silence screamed at me. I leaned back on the worn-out couch and let out a low sigh, blinking slowly as I stared up at the ceiling like it owed me answers.Isabella.Her name alone sparked something sharp and bitter in my throat. Two billionaires wrapped around her perfect little finger. And for what? That face? That pity sob story? Her dramatic life that just happens to attract powerful men like bees to honey?Jealousy burned hot in my veins. I hated the feeling..but I hated her more.My phone beeped.I glanced at the screen.Xavier.I smirked before even opening the message. He had replied."We’ll go with Plan B. She still loves him."Tch.“Pathetic,” I muttered under my breath, pushing off

  • ISABELLA (The Night that ruined me)   TWISTED

Xavier’s POVThe morning breeze drifted in, light and useless against the fire boiling in my chest.I sat on the balcony, twirling the flash drive between my fingers, a smirk stretching across my face.So small. So pathetic. And Drake thought this would destroy me?I had watched him last night..desperate, limping, bleeding. He crept through the resort like a wounded animal, dropping this at the receptionist's desk like some noble hero in a final act of courage. He had no idea I was there. Watching. In the dark. Exactly where men like him never think to look.“What a fool,” I muttered, shaking my head.I chuckled, then let it rise into a laugh. Not amused. Mocking.“You really thought this was your weapon, didn’t you, Drake?”I’d already gone through the contents. Useless. The footage was corrupted..faces smeared, voices distorted. Whatever he had once captured was no longer evidence. It was trash.I stood, sliding the drive into my pocket, the smirk on my lips now colder, sharper. And

  • ISABELLA (The Night that ruined me)   MASK SHADOW

Drake’s POVThe room was too quiet.Too still. Like the calm that comes before everything shatters.I sat on the edge of the bed, elbows resting on my knees, fingers twitching with nerves I couldn't shake. My heart pounded like it was trying to warn me of something even before I understood what. In my palm lay the flash drive…cold, small, yet so heavy it felt like a ticking bomb.I stared at it, my jaw locked.I had already watched the footage three times. Each time, it hit me harder, like a punch to the gut that left me more nauseated than the last.Xavier.His face distorted with rage, lips twisted in a maniacal grin. The laugh. The whip. And her. That woman. Naked. Bruised. Crying.Begging.The room smelled of iron…blood..even though I wasn’t there. The footage was grainy, but nothing could blur the horror of what I’d seen.I still couldn’t make sense of it. The circumstances, the context. But I didn’t need context to know evil when I saw it.He did that.He enjoyed it.And I could

  • ISABELLA (The Night that ruined me)   I WANT HIM OUT OF THE PICTURE

Xavier’s POVThe house was quiet. Too quiet. That kind of silence that wraps itself around your neck like a noose, tightening with every breath you take.I sat alone in the balcony, surrounded by shadows and whispers. The lights were dimmed, barely a flicker of warmth against the cold tension thick in the air. The breeze from the open window stirred the curtains gently, like ghosts passing through, brushing against the back of my neck like forgotten memories trying to crawl their way back into my head.On the table in front of me, my phone vibrated.A single message from Liam:“He’s seen the footage. He knows. I warned you”I didn’t move.Didn’t blink.Didn’t breathe.A hollow sensation opened up in my chest, swallowing everything. Slowly, deliberately, I leaned back into the chair and closed my eyes for a second, letting the truth sink in like poison.Damn it. Damn LiamThe video. That cursed footage. The one I thought I buried years ago.No..paid to have buried. Destroyed. Disintegr

  • ISABELLA (The Night that ruined me)   PAST OR PRESENT

ISABELLA POV I turned slowly, dread tightening around my lungs like a noose. And there he was.Xavier stood a few feet away. The moonlight bathed him in a cold silver hue. His features were sculpted from stone…motionless, unreadable. His eyes weren’t wide with rage. No. They were narrowed. Focused. Calculated. His jaw was tight, clenched so hard I imagined it must hurt. But he didn’t flinch. Didn’t speak. That calm before a storm. His gaze never left me.He walked forward. Slowly. Deliberate. Each step he took echoed louder in my chest than the beat of my own heart. Then he reached out… and took my hand.Gently.As though I were glass. His fingers wrapped around mine with a softness that made my throat close. His touch burned…not from anger, but from something far more dangerous. Disappointment. Before I could even find words, Drake moved. He stepped between us…not to fight. To plead. His hand circled my other wrist. His grip trembled, desperate.“Bella, don’t go with him. Not until

  • ISABELLA (The Night that ruined me)   THE DEVIL IN THE DARK

DRAKE’S POVI sat on the edge of the hotel bed, my knees trembling, laptop perched before me like a loaded weapon. My finger hovered over the spacebar. The flash drive Liam gave me blinked softly…one small light in the dim room.I took a breath. Then I pressed play. The screen flickered.Static. Then darkness. A faint hum of old security footage, and then…Laughter.Cold, cracked, animalistic.I flinched. There he was.Xavier.His face distorted slightly by the grainy feed, but that smirk was unmistakable. His hair was wet, slicked back. Shirtless. A long whip dangled from his hand, the end stained with something dark.He paced slowly in a dimly lit room..basement, maybe? Or a cellar? Stone walls lined with iron hooks and rusted chains. And on the floor…A woman.Naked.Her back was arched in pain, blood dripping down her spine in red rivulets. Her mouth opened and closed, trying to scream, but only a faint gurgle came out.Her lips were torn. Her body was covered in bruises, old and
