Illusions of Tall, Dark and Handsome

[Roughly 6:30am - The sun has just begun to rise. In the distance are small boats going out sailing and fishing around in what seems to be a beautifully sparkling ocean connecting to a nearby beach that seems to almost flow off the planet. As well as a lighthouse. It's beacon turning every so often; as if counting time.]

Kimora: (Counting the beacon's rotations out loud as a cool breeze begins sweeping through land. A caramel-skinned young woman with curvy features; and hair the color of the evening sun dipping into the horizon, starting from the crown of her head being a brilliant platinum blonde mixing into golden blonde then bright yellow at the curve of her waist into a red mixing purple for the bottom half of her hair, sits upon the cliff edge of what appears to be a lighthouse a few meters away. She looks incredibly beat up, with ripped clothing and missing a shoe. This girl had clearly been through a very rough past.)

Kimora: (With her hands quivering, she looks down the edge of the cliff with a pained expression on her face.) "I can't go back home. I can't trust my Mom, and I can't trust my Dad. If that even is my Dad...I'm all alone and it's all because of these "powers" I barely have any control over! Hell I'm not even 100% sure what I have is considered a power.. What does it mean to have a "Definition"!? What does it mean to have access to "Magick"!? According to the Islanders from my world, Magick is an external force that you can harness. An energy that flows from the planets around us. It can be given shape and it can be asked to do things; but never demanded. A "Definition" however, (With a deep sigh as she continues thinking aloud) has serveral theories behind it. Some say people are born with it some say people are born without them. Unfortunately, I haven't met anyone with a Definition in this timeline yet. So I can't begin to think on it's true meaning. So for now...I'm just a lowly support mage who can't even support myself...go figure!" (She reaches down grabbing a small pebble out of the pile of them next to her and began examining it.)

Kimora: "I wonder...if I can master my power...can I actively fix my situation?" (She giggles to herself.) "You're talkin' crazy Ki." (She tosses a pebble down the massive drop into the waters below. After exactly 70 seconds she heard a very loud "Sploosh!")

Kimora: "Hmphf...Alright, I'll give it one try and if it works...nice! The gravity on this planet is only one and a half times stronger than that of Earth so this should be one of the perfect places for testing my abilities with time and space. That's one thing I can be grateful for landing while as a refugee on this planet known as Deidra, despite having limited control over my abilities...."

(She reaches to the side and picks up another stone that loosens the ground beneath her. It is then that part of the bottom of the cliff falls away outside of her notice. She takes a deep breath, closing her eyes before opening them with a fierce determined look. She aims forward, throwing the stone straight ahead.)

Kimora: (Spoken calmly as she concentrates on the stone she just loosened from her hand.) "Distortion."

(The stone stops mid-air and vibrates, before it appears to start returning to it's original point. Then it simply drops in front of her as she lost control of the energy she was using and the rocks simply plummeted off the cliffside. She stares with a blank expression on her face before throwing her hands in the air with a loud growl. She stands up with a harsh stomp. As she turns to leave the cliff edge begins to crumble. The bottom half of the cliff gives way first, causing the top to crumble along with it. She stumbles in surprise, and throws her hands up into the air calling out for help as she began to fall backwards off the cliff with nothing below her but the jagged rock edges and crashing waves beginning to whip up from the morning swell.)

Kimora: (With the realization of what is about to happen she begins pleading as if it's her dying wish.) "Please...anyone! I've done nothing but fight and run my entire life if anyone's willing to give their time for mine I'll dedicate mine to theirs!"

(She closes her eyes in desperation. Tears begin to stream down her face. Suddenly, a tan skinned hand resembling a perfect bronze is seen coming over the cliff.)

Kimora: (Thinking to herself) "5... 6... 7... 8... how long have I been falling? Wait, how am I still alive?"

(After falling for quite some time, Kimora blacks out as she roughly bounced off of something, lurching backwards and hitting her head, feeling it crunch underneath her weight as if flattening a board of some kind.)
