Chapter 23 Give The White’s An Explanation

The butler on one side immediately smiled and said, “Where did you hear the rumors, Mr. Samberg? Miss Pettis was gone three years ago. How could she be alive?!”

Austin did not answer the butler’s words. His gaze was riveted on Carson, but the latter only looked at his laptop as if he had acquiesced to the butler’s words. He did not show any reaction.

There was another long silence, and only the sound of Carson tapping on the keyboard could be heard.

Austin could not help it anymore. He grasped Carson’s arm and broke the silence forcibly.

Carson slowly raised his eyes to look at Austin. His eyes were calm and he did not speak. He only looked at him coldly.

Austin stopped smiling. He locked Carson’s hand in his grip and said solemnly, “Carson, do you have any idea what the situation is?! Four years ago, Everly committed murder, and you personally sent her to prison and sentenced her to ten years. If what the rumor said is true, then she has escaped from the prison!”
