Simon sat silently in the car that drove him back to the Walkers’ mansion as he went through a series of documents on his iPad. Asher who had made it his job to drive him, glance at him from time to time through the rearview mirror but didn't say anything.

He had noticed how oddly silent Simon had been since he got to work that morning, and as much as he wanted to ask what had happened, he knew to restrain himself. If Simon wanted him to know he would have told him. At least he knew that much from following him all these years.

Simon let out a sigh and looked out the window at the bustling city as the car rode by and he suddenly felt slightly irritated. In fact, he had been feeling this irritated since breakfast this morning. He was too irritated to involve himself in the drama that had ensued that morning.
