The New Guy 2

"Oh come on." Trish scoffed loudly. The Dash guy raised his head and saw us.

And I stopped walking abruptly.

He took his eyes off us almost immediately but then, he looked up again but this time, his gaze rested behind us.

Laura?? 

He stared at her for a while.

And why the shit was he staring at me after? Do i have something on my face??

 

"Hi Dash, I didn't get a chance to introduce myself earlier. I'm Trish and this is my friend Rosia Rooza... uh Rosario.”

At least she realised she was calling my name wrongly.

“... she's also a freshman like you." Trish said smiling like a fool.

What! I ain't freshman. What was she saying?

 

 

“Cool." Dash said taking his eyes off me... us.

Trish blushed and faced me and with a whisper she said

" did u hear that?"

Weirdly, I could tell Dash's cool was meant for me though. Sort of.

Not to flatter myself but the way he was staring.

 

"welcome to Iridium High." she said stretching her hand forward. 

He didn't even look up again. He kept operating his phone.

Shit! That was embarrassing.

 

I gently walked to my seat leaving Trish to wallow in the pending embarrassment alone.

Laura walked to my seat and sat with me.

Okay   Uh  ???

Classes continued

“turn!” “turn!” a voice in my head urged. 

Damn! "Look at that face again."

Okay!!!

I leaned on the wall and stylishly looked behind at Dash and damn!!

He was staring at me!

I immediately faced my front. Wtf! That was embarrassing.

That was not the end of it, I still stole glances at him especially when the teacher throws questions to the back.

I’ll pretend to face backwards to stare... Weird me.

But Dash is really handsome. I’d admit.

I don't know how it happened but before school closed, Trish started having conversations with Dash and she kept switching seats and they seemed to be getting along real well.

“He seems to get along with dumb heads quite well?” Laura whispered.

Okay, she seems to care about this new student too quite unusually.

She've only spoke bad about him since we met.

Maybe that's her way of showing her own attraction.

After school closed, Trish was no where to be found... Same with Dash.

But Jack, the dumb head was still in class.

So where did they go together?

Trish and i do board cab home together, so I had to look for her.

 

once last week, kelvin drove us in his car. But Trish didn't tell him of her feelings though.

She just flirted.

 

And that was gonna be the first and last time, I’d be getting in his car.

I promised myself to always do cab, cause kelvin almost got us killed by his speed, but Trish thought it cool.

Hmm. You're missing a point!

Kelvin finally allowed me to enter his car, he probably did it to impress Trish.

i shrugged my way through the crowd in the school's exit... and finally I got out.

Just when i was about to start leaving, i heard someone call my name that familiar voice.

 

i turned around only to see Trish in a distance waving lightly at me and giving me signs to come to her.

 

she was with...  Holy crap!

 

She was with the Dash guy, clinging to his side like they were couples.

It kinda reminded me of Olivia and that was very unpleasing. 

But she didn’t touch him though, just got as close as she could be. Of course I’d notice every tiny little detail. Weird me.

They were beside a red spo... Car.

I don’t really care about cars. Kelvin would be able to tell what kinda car that was.

But how did she get so close to him like that?

 

Or... Could it be that they went somewhere to have sex earlier when they got missing? Because that's the only explanation for this.

I knew it! Trish's wild.

 

i sluggishly dragged myself  towards them.

Seems we'd be getting a ride in a cool car today all thanks to Trish frivolity.

As I walked towards them, I noticed Dash was uncomfortable with her being so clingy.

I know cause it showed in his disgusted facial expression.

His hands remained tucked in his pant pocket nonetheless as he leaned on his... sweet car.

And I just knew it, if I already didn’t know, there was something majestic about this guy.

"Hi" i said to only Dash as I halted before them. 

I mean Trish and I are friends no need for too much pleasantries.

“Hey.”

Oh heavens! His voice! 

Well, it's like previously anyway. Something like a whisper yet firm.

Fine!

It was somewhat different from when he said ‘cool’ earlier.

Wow.

And this dude's got the Michael Jackson...

 

"Done drooling?" Trish's voice snapped me out of my thoughts... which... which were stupid by the way.

I opened my mouth to say something but what she said re-echoed in my head and I stayed shut.

Hold on, did she just say i was drooling?

How dare she try to embarrass me? I gave her a hard stare which she barely met.

 

"Dash agreed to ride us. So you won’t be doing cab today." she said with a sly smile.

 

Oh wait! Wtf!

I was silent for a while before nodding negatively.

"I'll just ride with kelvin instead" i said and turned to gio. I felt angry.

I mean saying it out loud that I do cab in front of a guy with such car. She was trying to shame me!!

Totally!!

Ok, when did I even start caring about these things anyway? Whatever.

But really though, she was trying to humiliate me on purpose. Clearly!

“Rosa come on, ride with us.” She activated her playful voice of a week ago making me halt. I thought she was my friend.

“Come on, don’t be shy.” She said going round to the front passenger side of the car.

She got in.

"Come on." I heard his calm voice.

I turned as he opened the back door. I stared at him pretty closely than before.

His eyes, they were... Beautiful.

He just walked past me leaving the back car door open.

"Mmn.” I cleared my throat. “Thanks." i mouthed getting in.
