“Leave me alone! I would never accept you as my mates, you monsters.” I yelled, my body slightly shivering as I felt their hands trail my body. I hated the way I reacted to them. I should hate them… I shouldn’t crave them, not after everything they’ve done. But as Xavier sucked on my ear lobe and Kai grazed my jaw with his canines, I could barely hold my resolve. Zade knelt between my feet, his brown lust filled eyes staring at me with admiration. “We would never leave you alone, Kiara. We would worship you in every way,” he whispered, trailing kisses up my inner thigh, making me cry with blinding lust. “Even if it kills us, even if you kill us.” Kiara Knowles has been bullied alll her life because of her body. She was hated, abused and insulted, but on the first day of her new school, she felt finally accepted by her new friends, and was happy her crush noticed her. But it all turned out to be a lie as she was publicly humiliated for a past she couldn’t remember. Enduring humiliation, she found out that the three Alphas who hated her the most, ended up being her mates. Now they want nothing more than her acceptance, but she was too full of hate to care. Would she ever open her heart to them? Would they ever resist the burning temptation to mark her as theirs? Would Kiara ever belong?
ดูเพิ่มเติมI never knew the exact moment I started to hate my aunt’s husband. Maybe it was buried deep in some forgotten part of my childhood, thirteen years worth of memory my mind had chosen to erase for some reason, But what I did know, what I had always known, was that his presence made my skin crawl. And here, at my mother’s burial, standing beside the fresh grave, with grief making it almost impossible for me to breathe, I had never hated him more.
His voice droned on, listing reasons why he forbade me from accepting the scholarship but I didn’t hear a word. My eyes were locked on him, on the way he stood too close to my aunt, his hand gripping her shoulder as if he owned her, and the way he angrily waved the letter in the air as if the choice to accept the offer belonged to him. I clenched my fists, my nails biting into my palms. He didn’t deserve to have a say, it was my life.
“You are not going anywhere, Kiara. I forbid it! You are going to remain here and go to a school in this neighborhood, instead of going to this overprized fancy horse shit for spoilt pups!”
My fists tightened even more. My mother had not even died and he already decided to claim me as his property just like the rest of the things she left in my name. But id be damned if I let him treat me that way.
“I am going to that school, Richard. I earned that Schorlaship fair and square, and nothing you say would stop me.”
I saw the flash of anger in his eyes, his eyes darkened, flashing with the kind of anger that used to make me shrink back when I had to come back for reintroduction after losing my memories, but after dealing with bullies all my life, I couldn't be bothered.
“You think you can defy me, you little shit?” His voice lowered to a dangerous growl, his grip tightening on the letter until it crumpled between his fingers. “You have no idea what’s out there, Kiara. Do you think this school will change your life? That it will make you something more than what you are?” He scoffed, stepping closer, his eyes piercing into mine. “You are nothing but a fat pig, and that's all you will always be, and that's all they will see, Kiara. A fat pig.” He spat out in anger, his words stinging more than they should.
He was only voicing out my fears. That I wouldn't be seen as anything but a chubby omega, just like all the other schools I had to endure.
But I refused to let him win.
I met his gaze. “Whatever. I am going to that school.”
“You stupid girl.” He growled, moving to claw at me but my usually docile and fragile aunt grabbed his arm, her eyes pleading with him.
“Richard please, not here. Not when my sister just got buried.”
My aunt never stood up for me, so this came as a shock. But I knew when we were in, she would ignore Richard’s treatments.
He gave me a death glare, “We would finish this at home then. After the ceremony.”
His words felt more like a threat and an involuntary shiver slithered down my back, but I forced myself to hold his gaze. Not if I leave first.
As my aunt dragged him to the guests, I turned back to the fresh grave. My mother was dead. The only person who loved me and encouraged me to apply for this scholarship was dead, and I had to live with this monster.
My life in the city, my comfortable small life was snatched away by death.
And now, I was left with him.
A tear slipped down my cheek. My mother had believed in my future. I wouldn’t let him take that away from me.
Making up my mind, I turned on my heel and ran toward the house, careful not to draw attention from the mourning guests.
There was nothing left for me here.
Living here was impossible. I dragged my unpacked suitcase from when I first arrived for the funeral, put my valuables in it, and stole cash from Richard’s wallet and the keys to my mum’s car Richard planned on selling.
He owed me more than that.
Dragging my suitcase down the stairs, I yanked open the car door and threw my bag inside. I was about to get in when I realized, I needed my license.
I rushed back inside, grabbing it off the table.
“You are really running away, huh?”
My blood turned to ice as Richard’s eerily calm voice came from behind me.
I swallowed harshly as i gripped the key tightly in my hand, but before I could turn around, a sharp yank on my hair sent me crashing to the floor. A cry tore from my lips.
“Where the hell do you think you’re going, brat?” Richard’s hot breath fanned against my ear. His grip on my hair tightened as I clawed at his hand, my nails sinking into his skin, but he didn’t let go.
“Let me go!” I screamed, thrashing, but he only laughed, before flinging me into the wall.
Pain exploded in my ribs as I collapsed onto the floor, gasping for breath.
“No one can hear you,” he said, voice eerily calm. “And this time, I’ll make sure you die along with your stupid mother.”
My blood ran cold.
Richard stalked toward me, his shadow swallowing the dimly lit room. My pulse hammered as he reached down and wrapped both hands around my throat.
His grip was crushing, his fingers digging into my skin. “I should’ve done this years ago,” he sneered, squeezing tighter. “Maybe then, I wouldn’t have to deal with your pathetic existence.”
I flailed wildly, my vision spotting. I couldn’t breathe.
My hands scrambled for anything, anything, to fight back. I refused to be helpless again. For that reason, I couldn’t remember most of my past.
And then, my fingers brushed against something cold and sharp.
The key.
I didn’t hesitate.
With the last bit of strength I had, I drove it into his eye.
A bloodcurdling scream tore from his throat as he released me, clutching his face. I gasped, air rushing into my lungs. My hands were slick with blood, but I didn’t stop to think.
I ran.
Bolting through the door, I stumbled toward the car, throwing myself inside. My hands shook as I jammed the key into the ignition, the engine roaring to life just as Richard’s enraged shouts filled the air.
“Better run, you little slut!” he growled, stumbling after me. “If I catch you, I’ll kill you!”
The moment his hand reached for the door handle, I slammed my foot against the gas pedal, tires screeching as the car sped down the street.
I didn’t stop.
Didn’t look back.
I was free.
Kiara’s POVI should have known that my nightmare wasn’t anywhere near over; it had only just begun. The moment I stepped out of the class and into the hallway, all eyes turned on me as laughter filled the air. People were whispering too loud—like they actually wanted me to hear it, their words cruel and filled with mockery. “Did you see how desperately she was begging for it?”“You should’ve seen her face when the door was opened. It was priceless!”“I can’t believe that she believed that Xavier would stoop as low as liking her.”I kept my head down as I forced myself to keep walking, my hands balled into fists. I thought maybe if I walked fast enough or maybe if I acted like it didn’t affect me, then it would all go away, and they'd stop talking about it. But luck wasn’t on my side. “She should even be happy someone touched her,” Cassie said loudly, her voice venomous. “I mean, if I was the one with saggy titties, I would be so embarrassed to take my shirt off.”They burst into l
I was about to pick up a drink when Xavier spoke up. “Come on.” He got up and grabbed my hand. “I’m fine with it. Let’s do it.”My head was racing and my heart was pounding as he led me toward the small and dimly lit cupboard. He closed the door, and we were all alone. The air was tense, the space between us too small,l and his smell was going directly into my nose—intoxicating me.“We don’t ha—“ I started, moving as far away as I could get from him. “You think so?” He asked as he moved closer and tilted his head. “Did you truly think it was a good idea to pretend with me? You think I don’t know you want to kiss me, Kiara?”The way he said it, like he was hurt that I didn’t want to kiss, sent goosebumps spreading all over me. “What?” I asked in confusion. “I didn’t…”Before I could finish my sentence, he moved even closer and crashed his lips against mine. And my mind went blank.I couldn’t believe what was happening. Xavier’s lips were on mine, soft but demanding, and my mind went
Kiara’s POVI should have known better than letting Aurora drag me into it. “Stop being a party pooper, Kiara,” she said as she moved closer to me. “Try this outfit out, it’ll look perfect on you.”Swallowing hard, I took the black dress from her and moved to change my clothes. The dress was body hugging and as I stared at my reflection in the mirror, I couldn’t help but feel self conscious. It wasn’t the usual baggy tops and pants I usually wore—everything was on display with this mid length dress.“I know what you’re doing, and you need to stop,” Aurora said, noticing my hesitation. “You look stunning.”“I don’t know…” I bit my lips. “Don’t you think it’ll be better if I cha—““No,” she said as she placed her hands on my shoulders. “You need to trust me when I say you look beautiful in this dress, and no one would be able to take their eyes off you.”She seemed so sure, and her confidence rubbed off on me. I decided to be delusional and hoped that the night would turn out well for
Kiara’s POVAurora rushed to me immediately, her eyes landed on me, guilt written all over her face. “I’m so sorry, Kiara,” she said solemnly as she grabbed onto my hand. “I should have known, but I didn’t think Cassie would go that far. Are you alright?”“Yeah, I am,” I said, forcing a smile. She let out a relieved sigh before she squeezed my hand and pulled me towards Xavie, who was seated at the table. “You really should thank Xavier,” she said. “He made sure to put Cassie in her place.”Hesitantly, I turned to Xavier, whose gray eyes were locked on mine with an unreadable expression.“Th-thank you,” I said awkwardly. He didn’t say anything, but I watched as his eyes slowly trailed over my body before stopping on Kai’s shirt. His lips curled into a small firm, but he still didn’t say anything. Then, I felt a shift in the air. I could feel someone watching me, and when I turned, the weight of his stare weighed heavy on me. He was sitting at the far end of his table with his arm
Kiara’s POVThe cafeteria was full. Hundreds of students were seated as they talked, laughed and ate. The noise was deafening but the minute I walked into the room with Aurora, something shifted in the air. The room didn’t completely go silent because they were whispering and murmuring.“That girl is with Aurora?”“First it was Xavier, now she’s moving around with Aurora?”“What’s it with them? Is she really important or they’re trying to help her?”I could feel eyes on me from every corner of the room. My heart started racing as my stomach twisted. I wasn’t supposed to be here. Aurora didn’t look like she noticed—or maybe she didn’t care. Her bright smile was plastered on her face as she walked across the room with confidence, practically dragging me with her. “We’re going to be sitting with my friends,” she said as she led me to a table in the middle of the room. That was when I saw her. The girl with dark hair from earlier—the one who had made fun of me. She was even more b
Kiara’s POVMy feet stopped just before the stone gates. I wasn’t ready to walk in, not really. This wasn’t just a school, it was the place I was supposed to start over. Where I was supposed to become someone. But how do you become someone when all you’ve known is being unwanted?I had finally made it here despite all odds, despite the pain and hurt that I was feeling. I was finally here. The air around me was cold—not as cold as the one at my mother's funeral because it wasn’t enough to make me shiver. The air was filled with the smell of freshly trimmed grass and the voices of students talking.I had run from what was meant to be my own a place of comfort to this school. I had no idea why I would be here. I had no idea what type of school it was or if it was going to be any different from my last, but I was going to make the most of my time there and fulfill my mother’s dreams. I lifted my head and took in my surroundings. The school was beautiful and its stone walls stood tall w
