KADE’S POV

I felt like a piece of shit.

No. Lara made me feel like a piece of shit.

I accepted my father’s deal, knowing fully well there would be consequences with dating Lara. But I never expected those consequences to come wrapped in a Dior dress with an insufferable need for attention.

At first, I told myself I’d break up with her after a few weeks. I’d make up an excuse to end the relationship, maybe even set her up to cheat on me. I didn’t care, as long as my father believed I had nothing to do with the breakup and our deal remained intact.

But now? Two weeks felt like a lifetime. Hell, two more days and I was going to lose my mind.

But how could I end it so swiftly when my father texted to remind me of our deal? He warned that ending the relationship with Lara would have consequences.

Exhaling, I stole a glance at her beside me and felt even more angry.

I hated her voice, the way she spoke in that babyish tone, thinking it was cute when all it did was grate on m

BLAIR’S POV I thought I’d seen the worst when it came to triggers. Jaxon and Harper had always been on my mind, but nothing prepared me for what I had to deal with Lara and Kade. Kade returned to the room after lectures but barely said a word to me. When he did, he mumbled something about using the bathroom. I was expecting to know why he wanted to talk to me at the cafeteria before Lara interrupted. But he didn’t bring that up or even act like he wanted to speak to me earlier. He just went straight to the bathroom and when he got out, he picked up his phone and began to scroll away. I acted like I didn’t notice but my heart was tearing to pieces over the fact that he wasn’t even trying to strike up a conversation. Where was the Kade that moved in with me? Fine, he wasn’t an extrovert but he used to glance at me sometimes. This new Kade pretended I didn’t exist even while sharing the same room with me. Sighing, I stole a glance at him, about to speak. But a knock sound

BLAIR’S POVI groaned as I opened my eyes, feeling a throbbing headache at the back of my head. Rubbing my forehead didn’t help much, but it was worth a try. I sat up and my eyes scanned the room, eventually landing on the opposite end, taking in the sight of Kade lying at the edge of his bed with Lara. They were finally asleep, which was a relief, but I couldn’t shake the sigh that escaped my lips. For some reason, they had stayed up for hours last night. Lara kept talking and begging Kade to come to bed, but he insisted he had work to do. “But you’ve been sitting there doing all that work,” she had whined. “You can continue tomorrow. Let’s just get some sleep.”“I’ll join you in a minute,” he insisted. “You can go to bed without me.”She sighed and pouted before saying, “I’ll just wait for you here.” I had tried to sleep, but their constant bickering kept me wide awake. Each time I thought I could drift off, Lara would exclaim something, laugh, or even scream. It felt like she wa

BLAIR’S POVYou’d think getting cheated on was painful. But watching the one person I shouldn’t have be with someone else was even worse. The feeling was worse than anything I’d ever experienced and I wished I wasn’t affected.I wished I wasn't feeling this pain but seeing Kade and Lara together or even thinking about them made my heart squeeze in such a way that made it feel like it was really breaking.I grabbed my pillow tighter, trying to hold back my tears. But that didn’t work, my shoulders shaking in silent sobs that pushed out. I pressed my face against the pillow , not able to even cry out in my own room. This morning, Kade had clearly made his choice. No matter how much I tried to see it differently, this girl he just started dating was more important to him than I ever was. I just couldn’t understand how he had come to fall in love with her. Did he know her before? When did they start dating? How could he comfortably let her stay here or even kiss her in my presence? The

BLAIR’S POVI stared at my phone, frowning at Kade's text. "Can we talk? In the room, 1 p.m."I scrolled down to see if there was more to the text, but that was it. No explanation. No context. Just an expectation that I’d drop everything and show up.I scoffed, checking my schedule. Empty. A sigh slipped out. How did he know? Had he looked beforehand?Leaning back, I debated whether I even wanted this conversation. Through the window, I watched people moving through the halls, letting my thoughts drift.Eventually, I pushed myself up with a sigh, ready to go back. There was nothing else to do, and I was also curious to know what he wanted to talk about.Thirty minutes later, I was back in my room and I hesitated at the door, staring at it for a long minute before proceeding to go inside. I pushed the door open, immediately hit by the rich aroma of food. Was Kade cooking?Dropping my bag, I rolled my eyes and glanced toward the kitchen as I shut the door. Did he really think one mea

KADE’S POVI finally had Blair in my arms, and the feeling was intoxicating. Her lips moved against mine, desperate and hungry, matching the desire burning inside me. We had been circling each other for too long, resisting what we both knew was inevitable. Every glance, every accidental touch in this room had only fanned the flames, making this moment feel like an explosion. And now that we were here, I wasn’t holding back.My thumb pressed against her soaked panties, teasing her as she instinctively rolled her hips, chasing my touch. The soft, shuddering breaths she let out sent a thrill through me, making my cock even harder. Her fingers tangled in my hair in response, nails scraping against my scalp, and I groaned, the sensation sending a shiver down my spine.I knew I should slow down, let her breathe, let us savor this but I couldn’t. Not when she was finally here, melting against me, needing this just as much as I did. All the anger, the distance, the nights spent pretending

BLAIR’S POVI could still feel the pounding of my heart as I lay in bed, staring at the ceiling. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t push the memory away. Kade and I had almost fucked instead of talking. How did everything spiral out of control like that? I couldn’t even stop myself. I was literally enjoying making out with my own stepbrother. What’s worse? His psycho girlfriend had walked in on us. I squeezed my eyes shut, groaning internally. If only Kade had listened when I told him about the door. We would have had enough time to get dressed, and none of this would have happened. But no, he didn’t. Now I was stuck here, feeling like an idiot, replaying every second of that disaster in my head. “I wish this was a bad dream,” I muttered to myself, staring at the ceiling. The room was too quiet, but my mind was too loud. What was going to happen now? How would Kade explain the situation to his girlfriend?Just imagining him doing that made a lump form in my throat. Did I jus

BLAIR’S POVLara’s Instagram post this morning was all but forgiving. Even though she said she forgave me yesterday, the post said otherwise. I didn’t mean to check. I had just been scrolling through my feed, minding my business until I saw it. Maybe it was because I stalked her for so long that it made it pop up. Or maybe the universe just enjoyed messing with me. “You weren’t chosen, sis. You were just convenient.” That was what she posted.I could tell that she was throwing direct shade at me, and the last part struck a nerve. “I was just convenient?” She was definitely not over things, even though I apologized to her. And if I needed any more confirmation, it came the second I turned the corner in the hallway and saw her waiting by my locker. But she wasn’t alone. Two of her friends stood beside her with their arms crossed, ready to pounce at me. I recognized both of the girls from a couple of Lara’s Instagram posts and I knew this wasn’t a coincidence. KADE’S POVI paced behind the basketball field, holding my phone tight in my hand. Things were getting out of control and I needed to end it, no matter what came next. Lara just had to go. I couldn’t continue with such a suffocating relationship.I took a deep breath and checked my phone screen. I’d been waiting for my father to call back, and finally, my phone buzzed in my hand. His name flashed across the screen and I answered immediately. “Hello, D—” “I was in a meeting,” he cut in sharply, almost impatiently. “This better be important.” I drew in a deep breath, gripping the phone tighter. “It’s about Lara,” I informed him. There was silence on the other end of the line for a moment. Then, his voice finally came, “What about her?” “I don’t think I can continue with dating her,” I said, forcing the words out before I could talk myself out of it. “It’s just not working out.” He exhaled loudly into the phone, and I could already hear the lecture coming. “We had a deal,

BLAIR’S POV I tugged at the collar of my turtleneck for the third time, still not sure if it was hiding the hickeys on my neck. The last thing I needed was half the school seeing the mess Kade left behind. I moved quickly through the hallway, scanning for Will. If I didn’t catch him before his first class, I probably wouldn’t see him again all day.Halfway down the corridor, I slowed down, looking at the faces around me.There were a lot I didn’t recognize. Most of them stood near the lockers, talking with a few students I did know. That’s when it clicked….they were the new students from Southvale. Most of them were supposed to arrive today according to Will. I spotted a boy from my chemistry class leaning casually against the wall, explaining something to a dark-haired girl who didn’t look familiar. Nearby, another group were asking questions, how things worked, where to go, and if the professors were strict.“Crazy,” I muttered, watching them quietly. It had to feel strange, being

KADEWe’d barely stepped inside when her back met the wall. She tugged at my shirt, dragging me down into a kiss that was messy and warm, tasting faintly of the wine we’d shared at dinner.“Fuck,” I hissed when her hand slipped lower, gently cupping my balls and massaging the base of my hard cock. She looked up with that sexy little smile, and I couldn’t tell if it was the wine or something else that made her this bold.“You’re being very naughty, baby,” I muttered, voice tight. She didn’t answer, just kept kissing down my neck slowly, like she wanted to drive me crazy one inch at a time. Her fingers teased my waistband, lingering at my throbbing cock. “What am I going to do with you?” I breathed, brushing her hair back as she looked up at me with that heat in her eyes.“Anything.” She whispered. That was all it took.I scooped her up, her arms slipping around my neck as I carried her to the bed. She let out the softest laugh, still buzzing from the wine. I set her down gently, eye

BLAIRThe concierge gave us a polite nod, handed us our menus, and quietly stepped away. I barely skimmed the pages before spotting a few dishes that immediately caught my eye.“They have truffle risotto. And duck breast with cherry glaze. I’ve always wanted to try that. Oh and lobster tail?” I beamed with barely contained excitement. Across the table, Kade watched me with an amused smile. “Get whatever you want,” he said calmly, like the prices didn’t matter at all.Once the concierge disappeared, I set the menu down, still trying to process everything. “Okay, seriously. How did you even pull this off? I heard reservations here take weeks.”He shrugged. “I was persistent.”I narrowed my eyes at him, still smiling. “Persistent?”He leaned in a little, his tone playful. “Let’s not forget, I’m a Reid. That helped.”“Cool,” I said with a grin, settling back into my seat.“So,” he asked, watching me, “Do you like it here?”“I love it,” I replied honestly. When the waiter returned with ou

BLAIRThe ride to wherever Kade was taking me wasn’t awkward. It was quiet, but comfortable. He had slow, mellow music playing in the car, and I couldn’t help but wonder where we were going. His right hand stayed on the wheel, while his left rested on mine in my lap. Every few minutes, he’d lift it and press a soft kiss to the back of my hand, like it was nothing. When the car began to slow, I glanced out the window and gasped at the magnificent building we were pulling up to.No way, I thought.I blinked and leaned forward, making sure I wasn’t seeing things. Turning to Kade, I found him already grinning from ear to ear.“You’ve got to be kidding me,” I whispered, and he just laughed. He got out of the car, walked around, and opened my door with ease, offering his hand to help me out. I took it, stepping out slowly, my eyes immediately locking on the towering penthouse ahead. The King’s Restaurant. It was the most exclusive place to dine in the entire pack. Reservations took weeks,

KADE While Blair was out, I took the time to set everything up. I’d planned it earlier while we were still at school and this was meant to be a surprise. The hotel staff knew who I was, so getting the special wine and the right glasses wasn’t a problem. I asked them to bring up a bottle and some strawberries. They didn’t ask any questions. One look at my last name, and people moved. I ran the bath myself. It was hot, but not too much. And I added a few drops of essential oil, something soothing. The whole room now smelled like vanilla and I was pretty sure she’d love it. By the time Blair walked back in, the wine was open, the bath was full, and I was already inside. When she joined me, I poured her a glass and watched the way she tipped her head back to take a sip. Her dark brown hair spilled over her shoulders, framing her face. Blair never had to try, she was just effortlessly beautiful. “Aww, that was harsh,” she said, wincing a little. I laughed. The wine wasn’t even that s

  • In My Lycan Stepbrother’s Bed   Chapter 106: No Thanks

BLAIR By the time we got back to the hotel room, the sky outside had already turned dark. I dropped my books onto the bed and let out a tired sigh. My back ached, and I could feel a headache coming on. Even after that wild moment with Kade in the library bathroom, I’d managed to get some reading done. As I stretched my arms over my head, I noticed Kade in the corner of the room, already pulling off his shirt. I gave him a look, and he caught it immediately. A smug grin spread across his face. He knew exactly why I was looking at him. “Don’t pretend you didn’t enjoy it,” he said, clearly pleased with himself. “You were literally moaning my name.” I didn’t respond. Not because he was wrong but I wasn’t about to boost his ego any more than it already was. I rolled my eyes, about to say something smart, when the room phone rang. I turned toward it, surprised. Since it was my room, I walked over and picked up the receiver, cradling it between my ear and shoulder. “Hello?” “Miss T

BLAIR “We can’t do this here,” I whispered, trying to catch my breath as Kade’s lips traced down my jaw and neck. My pulse was racing, but more than anything, I was worried someone would walk by. “Who says we can’t?” he murmured against my skin. I pressed a hand to his chest, trying to steady myself. “Someone might see us,” I said, looking up at him, more serious now. He pulled back slightly, eyes scanning the quiet stretch of the library. Then they landed on the small bathroom tucked in the corner. I followed his gaze and immediately knew what he was thinking. “No,” I said under my breath. But he was already smirking. “Kade…” I whispered. He took my hand, and I didn’t stop him. Because deep down, I didn’t want to. We slipped inside the bathroom, and the door clicked shut behind us. I could hear my heart thudding in my ears but Kade’s heavy kisses invaded my senses once more. His hands were everywhere, all over my body, caressing, fondling, and touching. He had a firm grip o

KADE The second our lips broke apart, the locker room exploded. Some of the boys were cheering, clapping, and even a few howled. Absolute idiots. I laughed and didn’t bother looking at any of them. Instead, I grabbed Blair’s hand before one of them got any dumb ideas. She kept her face down, hiding it in my chest, which only made me laugh harder. She looked like she was ready to sink into the floor from embarrassment, so I pulled her out of there fast. We didn’t stop until we were back in the hallway, where it was finally quiet. She let go of my hand and turned to face me, cheeks still red and eyes wide. “What was that?” she asked. I grinned. “It’s kind of a ritual,” I said. “A team thing. When the captain’s been gone too long, they do that when he comes back.” She blinked. “You’re serious?” “Dead serious,” I said with a straight face. “They just told me about it. I had to go along.” She narrowed her eyes, shaking her head. “Okay, but what if you didn’t have a girlfriend?”

BLAIR During my first class, I was scribbling down notes as fast as I could, trying to keep up with the pace of the lecture. The professor, Mr. Ambrose, was using all kinds of terminology, but nothing I couldn’t handle. I’ve always liked Biology. It had never been a subject I struggled with. “Miss Thorn,” he suddenly called, making me pause. I looked up immediately in confusion and almost all eyes were now on me. What was this about? “Do you understand what I just explained?” He asked. “Yes, sir,” I said quickly, nodding before I’d even processed the question fully. My heart jumped a little. I wasn’t lost. Was I? He stared at me for a second, then moved on. I shifted in my seat, refusing to look back at those staring at me as underlined the last phrase I had jotted down even though it didn’t need emphasis. Did the professor ask me that question because I looked confused? He continued with the lecture, pointing at the projector and clicking through slides. “Thorn, still with
