CHAPTER 4

"Think of me. Our time might come to an end, White Clover"

One step closer...

_____________

Myrtle, 1901

I walked as my foot brushes through the grass. Oh, how soft it is to lay down and stare at the baby blue sky...

I'm here again in the Red Catchfly Forest. I decided to visit again with Lea our favorite place and talk about a bunch of interesting stories.

"Hey, Eddy!"

I looked in front as Lea waved her hand at me. I waved back at her and noticed her holding something in her back, "What are you holding?"

She smiled and said, "Well, I am glad you noticed. I brought a basket of some fresh fruits from our garden and some drinks."

both of us sat down and started devouring our snacks, "So how's your father? is there any news about the issue?"

"Well, nothing yet. Father is still having a hard time managing it. I guess, the king of Hemlock is very angered by something" I replied.

"But, the king of Hemlock is your uncle, right? he is the brother of your father. What seems to go wrong?" She asked while frowning

I sighed as I replied, "They have had a misunderstanding since childhood. More like a sibling rivalry?"

"Well then, I hope that they could make up to each other. Let's just hope and pray for the better, right?" She looked at me while giving me a reassuring smile.

We finished our small meal and started discussing different things. The soothing purlieus of the lake in front of us is very beautiful. We roamed around the area for a while

"Lea."

She then replied, "Yes?"

"Well since, you love flowers I wanted to ask something"

"Go on. Tell me" She said as I pulled her to sit back again on the ground.

"Do you know a story about a guy that gave 18 roses to a girl he fond?"

She pinched her lips as she replied, "Not really..."

"Well, this guy prepared 18 roses for the girl and all of them are real and one of them is unreal."

She then looked at me and asked with curiousness, "Then what happened next?"

I chuckled as I continued, "He said, Our love will last forever until the last rose perished."

Both of us chuckled as she looked forward and stare at the glistening lake...

"I have to be honest that the story is lovely and like a White Camellia flower but, do you know the story of the sun's fondness for the moon?" She asked me as I replied, "Yes. But as a request, I would like to ask for you to repeat it for me."

...

"In the end, both of them are still apart as the world circulates them. Even if it will last decades of waiting, they will always be apart."

As I ended, she then looked at me with her sorrowful eyes, "Oh, how sad it is for that to happen to them."

"Well, we have to accept our fate and destiny because it will lead us the way."

"Yes, you're right. Sometimes, we also have to sacrifice or to let go the one we cherished to proceed because that is fate."

I became a bit frustrated on why is it like that, "I understand but, I do wonder why it should happen like that, right?"

"Well Edward, that's destiny. That is your fate. Time will come at the perfect time and you just have to be patient. They said patience is a virtue, right?"

"But what if you didn't end up together or with someone?"

"Well, that is your destiny. But I also couldn't answer that since we do not know what the future lies on the path we walk on."

I sighed as I replied, "I guess, for now, we should just hope and trust."

"Are you that bummed?" She asked. I shook my head and replied, "It's just... I remembered something in the book that I have read recently."

"What does it say that makes you feel so affected by it?"

"Think of me,

our time might come to an end.

In a blink,

you might be blind to see me."

"I am on the brink of the cliff,

can you catch me?

I am shrinking,

will you see me?"

"In a wink,

there's only one eye.

In a heart,

there's only one side"

"Sadly, it has given me a Willow flower. It ruined my Honeysuckle flower for someone."
