37 - Meet The Fam
Morning came and I couldn’t wait to get home. I was just wearing a light sundress and Derek had on khaki shorts, a light blue polo and black jordan sneakers.
I had been texting with Cynthia and they had a whole BBQ planned. They had told everyone to come at 12, but my family … showed up when they wanted and it was usually early.
She didn’t want us bringing anything but I felt bad coming empty handed. I kept asking Derek if we should invite Heath but he said Heath was happy staying behind.
I started feeling a bit insecure, I mean my house was nice by lower middle class standards, but I wondered what Derek was expecting. We pulled up to my little white ranch style house on a barely quarter acre lot.

The next few days seemed to go by like a blur, there was just a flurry of activity around the apartment.
