Mira and I were in the kitchen making breakfast while Kurt was seated in the dining room, reading the paper. The house was swimming with servants, actually because they were preparing for the dinner party that would take place later on the terrace. Kurt wanted to throw a small party to introduce Genevieve to our families. I couldn't object, probably because I didn't see a reason why he couldn't introduce his so-called new daughter to everyone.

"Am I supposed to greet you good morning?"

Mira and I paused when we heard a not-so familiar voice in the dining room.

"It's a sign of respect, so yes."

"I never greeted anyone at the foster home."

"You will now. This isn't a foster home, this is your home now."

I mounted into the living room, just in time only to see Kurt and Genevieve seated, having a conversation.

"So," Kurt started. "Your new room, do you like it?"

"Sincerely, no."

I shot my gaze to her. Ungrateful little bitch! Mira decorated that room few years back. "Care to tell
