My head throbbed as I slowly regained consciousness. The faint, metallic scent of rust and decay filled the air, mingling with the pungent aroma of mold and dust. Slowly, I blinked my eyes open and I gradually adjusted my blurry vision. The faint yellow light coming from a singl bulb hanging from the ceiling barely illuminated the room. A huge aluminum barrel a few meters away from me was emitting fire, the only source of warmth in this cold night, the crackling sound from the burning wood was the only thing heard in the area. I looked around the place as my situation started to sink in. From my left were junked metal bars, sacks of sand and gravel, and at my right was an old rusty car with an opened hood, beside it was a cargo container blocking my view of what lies to its other side.
